Installation comprising a musical piece actuated by a spring motor. The present invention has for object an installation comprising a musical piece actuated by a spring motor.
This installation is characterized in that it comprises an electric motor intended to wind the spring of said motor and means for controlling the stopping, respectively starting, of the musical piece at a determined time, these means being actuated. by said electric motor.
The appended drawing represents, by way of example, three embodiments of the object (the invention.
Figs. 1 to 3 are diagrammatic views partially in section @de these three forms <the execution.
The installation shown in fig.1 com takes Lin electric motor 1 continuously rotating, for example a synchronous motor of an electric clock, this motor. being designed to wind up the spring 2 of the motor of a musical piece 3. For this purpose, the rotor of the motor 1 transmits its movement by a worm 4 to a toothed wheel 5 whose shaft 6 carries a pinion toothed 7 meshing with a toothed wheel 8 integral with a toothed pinion 9 meshing with a toothed ring 10 integral with a barrel 11 enclosing the spring 2.
The shaft 12 of the barrel is directly coupled to the shaft 12 'of a roller 13 with points of the tines for the actuation of vibrating blades, and a gear train generally designated by 14, is arranged between the shaft 12 and a finned regulator 15 -of known type. The barrel carries a cam 16 cooperating with the end of the i-m angled lever 17, the other end of which is capable of moving in the path of the finned regulator 15 in order to block the latter.
The shaft 12 'of the roller carries at its free end a bevel pinion 18 meshing with another bevel pinion 18' for the dragging of a rotary plate 19 on which advertising objects can be placed.
The operation of this form of execution is as follows: The motor 1 rotates continuously and drives the barrel 11 continuously via the reduction gears 4, 5, 7, 8, 9 and 10. At each revolution of the barrel 11, the cam 16 causes the angled lever 17 to pivot around its axis to release the vane regulator 25. The spring 2 which is continuously wound up by the barrel 12 drives the roller 13, the movement being braked by the regulator 15 driven by the gear train 14.
The pinion 18 transmits its movement to the pinion 18 'which turns the plate 19. After a certain time, the cam 16 leaves the bent lever 17 which, under the action of a return spring, not shown, pivots around its axis. to return to the position of fig.1, that is to say in the stop position of the regulator 15. The music piece therefore runs for a determined time at determined time intervals.
In the embodiment shown in FIG. 2, the same reference signs designate the same components as in FIG. 1. Motor 1 is replaced by an electric clock 20 with a synchronous motor. A toothed ring gear 21 meshes with a bevel pinion 22 wedged on a shaft 23. A toothed pinion 24 mounted on the shaft 23 meshes with a toothed wheel 25 secured to a plate, with friction coupling applied by a spring of compression 26 against the barrel 11 containing the spring mantle 2.
The shaft 72 'of the spiked roller 13 is driven from the spring 2 and from the shaft 12 via a gear 27, 28, the gear train 14 being arranged as in the example. previous between shaft 12 'and regulator 15.
The clock 20 comprises a cam 29 having at its periphery a projection 30 for actuating an angled lever 31 pivoting at 32 and the other end 33 of which is capable of moving in the path of the finned regulator 15. A stop 34 maneuverable by hand using a handle 35 makes it possible to stop the music piece at will.
The operation of this form of execution is as follows. Cam 29 rotates continuously and for example makes one revolution in one hour. The projection 30 therefore lifts the lever 31 every hour, the end 33 of which is released from the regulator 15. The music piece 3 then starts up under the impulse of the spring 2 which is wound up from the clock 20 by through the gears 21, 22; 24 and 25. When the spring 2 is completely reassembled, the friction plate carried by the toothed wheel 25 continues to rotate, but without driving the barrel 11 against the face of which it slips.
The music piece runs for a few minutes until the projection 30 releases the lever 31 after which the end 33 of this lever returns to the locking position of the regulator 15, as shown in FIG. 2. The cam 29 could of course have several projections 30.
The shaft 12 'could also drive a rotary table as in the example of fig.1. In the embodiment shown in FIG. 3, the electric motor A, which can be a synchronous, asynchronous or direct current motor, simultaneously winds the spring 36 of a clockwork movement B and the spring 37 of the movement of a music piece C. To this end indeed, the barrels 38 and 39 are. respectively connected by a shaft 40 and 41 to a differential of which only the outer ring gear 42 has been shown. The rotor of the electric motor drives this ring gear 42 by means of a designated gear train. generally in 43.
The watch movement B comprises a cam 44 rotating, for example, at the same speed as the minute hand and arranged so as to cooperate with one end of a control lever 45, the other end of which is intended to block or release the finned regulator of the musical piece C, regulator shown diagrammatically at 46. A gear train 47 is provided between the regulator 46, the shaft 48 of the spiked roller 49 and the 'shaft 50 of ba rillet 38.' The clockwork movement further comprises a cam 51 intended to control a switch 52 coupled in one of the supply wires of the motor A.
This switch can be of any known type with mechanical or mercury contacts.
The operation of this form of execution is as follows. At the moment when the cam 51 closes the switch, 52, the motor A is. started and reassembles the springs 37 and 38 by the intermediary of the gear train 43, the differential 42 and the shafts 40, 41. When the cam 51 opens the switch 52, the motor A starts stop, but the clockwork movement B continues to run under the impulse of its output 36. At a determined moment, the cam 44 rotates the lever 45 by disengaging it from the regulator 46 and the music starts. under the impetus of its spring. 37.
After a certain time, the cam 44 leaves the lever 45 which is returned to its blocking position of the regulator 15 by a spring, not shown. At a determined moment, the cam 51 again closes the switch 52 and the cycle begins again. As in the previous embodiments, the shaft 48 of the roller 49 can be used to drive a rotating bearing plate. promotional items.
The installation described could include any other type of musical piece than that shown with vibrating blades. The tips or "pins" of the roller could, for example, act on hammers striking bells or sound tubes.
In a variant, cams could be driven by the roller of the music piece for the selective control of percussion hammers intended to act either on bells or on tubes of different length. The roll could also carry the grooves of a sound recording, cooperating with a diaphragm in known manner. Instead of a roll, one could have a gramophone record tray.
The cams driven by the roller, as provided above, could also be used for the selective actuation of valves controlling wind sound organs, for example organ pipes or flutes imitating a bird song.
The installation described makes it possible to control the starting of the. piece to music at a specific time and during. a determined time. Such an installation is advantageously used for advertising purposes, in particular for the presentation of objects in a store window.
