Une barrette 21. est vissée sur la paroi extérieure de la crosse et emprisonne; dans -un évidement transversal de cette dernière, un axe 22 solidaire de la gâchette et. de son prolongement et formant l'axe de pivotement de ceux-ci. Il est à remar quer que le ressort 19 repoussant la gâchette :l.8 vers l'extérieur pourrait être supprimé;
Des garnitures d'étanchéité sont disposées dans le pistolet, notamment en 28 au point où l'axe 22 et le prolongement 18' de la gâchette traversent la paroi de la crosse 1, en 29 entre l'écrou 12 et la collerette 10 du bouchon 9;
Spray gun for liquid projection. The present invention relates to a liquid spray polishing gun, characterized in that it comprises laie stick comprising a duct.
longitudinal connectable to a liquid inlet and having a liquid flow adjustment device controlled by a trigger, the conduit opening into a transverse barrel provided, at its front end, with a. outlet nozzle with adjustable opening, a member being mounted inside the barrel and allowing the liquid to be mixed, as desired, with an auxiliary product contained in said member.
In a particular embodiment, said. member consists of a sleeve mounted co-axially inside said barrel, and so as to be able to be rotatably displaced, this sleeve having, at its front end, an opening and, near its rear end, a lateral projection provided with an orifice intended to ensure communication between the interior of the sleeve and the interior opening of the duct of the butt,
the rotation of the sleeve in the ca non producing the relative displacement of the ori fice of said projection with respect to the internal opening of the duct of the butt, so as to adjust the distribution of the liquid between the wise steps formed respectively by the inside the sleeve containing the product to be incorporated into the liquid and by the clearance between the sleeve and the barrel.
This embodiment has a res jump formed inside and at the front of the casing not in front of the partition forming the front of the sleeve and which canopy is formed with the front orifice thereof, so that the rotation of the sleeve adjusts both the free section of the port of the projection and of the port of the front end of the sleeve.
The possible applications of the gun according to the invention are numerous and, in particular, it can be used for washing automobiles, in which case a detergent can be incorporated into the water to remove greasy substances, dust, and then we can rinse ,, by means of the gun using a jet of pure.
The gun can also be used # spray or rain spray, for agricultural or veterinary use with the addition of disinfectants and insecticides; etc., for painting, in which case, a regulated proportion will be incorporated into the water: wheat. of water-based paint, for showers, allowing the jet. or rain with or without soap.
In summary, the gun can be used whenever it is necessary to obtain a projection of a liquid, in the form of a jet, rain or mist by incorporating. or not any ingredient.
The appended drawing represents, by way of example, one embodiment of the gun which is the subject of the invention.
Fig. 1 is an exterior profile view of the gun.

Fig. 5 is an end view of the front part of the gun with its nozzle, after removal of a crown regulating the state of sub-division of the liquid.
Fig. 6, is a profile view of a trigger controlling the arrival of liquid.
Fig. 7 is. a front view.
Fig. 8 is a top plan view of an inlet valve mounted in the butt.
The pistol shown comprises a butt 1 in which is formed a longi tudinal duct 2 flaring at 3 at the lower part of the butt. The flared end 3 of the duct 2 has an internal thread in:
which is screwed a connector 4 on, which is -destined to be mounted a flexible or rigid pipe, not shown, leading to a tap or any other # 1 water inlet. This duct 2 comprises an adjustable water inlet, admitted by its lower end, as will be explained below, the water being able, of course,
be replaced by any other suitable liquid.
The stock carries the barrel 5 of the pistol in which the conduit 2 opens and in which the coaxial sleeve 6 (fig. 3) is placed leaving, at the front of the barrel, between the outer surface of the sleeve and the inner surface of the barrel, an annular passage; this sleeve is intended to receive a supply of a product to be incorporated into the water.
The sleeve is closed at its front part by a partition having a tin orifice 7 (fig. 3) arranged generally in relation to an outlet nozzle 8 provided at the front of the barrel and which will be described in detail below. .
The sleeve 6 containing the supply of product is closed at the rear by a plug 9 having on the outside a collar 10 abutting against a rear shoulder 5 'inside the barrel. The head 11 of the plug 9 protrudes behind and above the butt and is ridged so that it can be easily grasped.
The sleeve 6 in which the plug 9 is forcibly inserted is blocked inside the barrel 5 by means of a nut 12, preferably of plastic material, screwed into a rear threaded extension of the barrel, and applying the flange 10 star the rear shoulder 5 'of the barrel 5.
The sleeve 6 has, as seen in FIG. 2, a protruding side part in the form of a segment 13 near its rear end, this protruding part being provided with an orifice 14 normally arranged to the right of the duct 2 in the butt 1. By acting on the ridged end 11 of the cap 9 to rotate the sleeve 6 in the housing constituted by the barrel 5, after partial unscrewing of the nut 12, it is possible to move the orifice 14 so as to gradually close it by compared to duct 2.
At the same time, the front opening 7 of the sleeve 6 gradually disappears behind a projection 5 "formed at a suitable point inside and in front of the barrel 5. The amplitude of the rotation of the sleeve 6 is , limited by the fact that the segment 13, shown in dotted lines in Fig. 4, moves inside an annular recess 15 of corresponding depth made on a part of the inner periphery of the barrel 5 in the part back of it.
As seen in fig. 4, the stroke of the projection 1.3 is limited in both directions by the ends of this recess. 15, corresponding to the max mum opening positions. and minimum of port 14.
The sleeve 6 contains a supply of any product intended to be entrained or dissolved in the liquid, such as soap, detergent, insecticide, etc. These products can. be in the form of pellets which are easily introduced and in variable number inside the sleeve 6.
When the orifice 14 is in line with the duct 2, all the liquid passing through the latter enters the sleeve 6 and leaves through the orifice 7 with a maximum content of the product contained in said sleeve.
If, by turning the latter, the port 14 is gradually closed so that finally the projection 13 of the sleeve is completely out of alignment with the duct 2, the liquid no longer enters the sleeve, of which the outlet orifice 7 is closed, as has been said, and a projection of pure liquid is obtained which has passed directly from the pipe 2 into the outlet nozzle 8 of the barrel, following the outer wall of the sleeve 6 .
The adjustment of the liquid admission into the conduit 2 is provided by a valve 16, the head 16 'is .disposed inside the lower flared end 3 of the conduit 2 and is subjected to the action of a coil spring 17 resting on an internal shoulder 4 'of the connector 4 screwed into the duct 2.
Normally, the valve, subjected to the action of the spring 17, comes to rest against the shoulder 3 'by which the flared end 3 of the duct 2 is connected to the main part of this duct. For this high position of the valve 16, the latter prevents the admission of liquid into the pipe 2.
In order to lower the valve 16 and allow a quantity of liquid corresponding to the movement of the valve to enter, the gun has a device controlled by a trigger 18 articulated on the butt 1, as will be explained below. The valve 16 has along its stem four ribs 16 "extending vertically to ensure good guidance of the liquid thus entering the conduit 2. The trigger 18 is integral with an extension 18 'projecting inside the conduit. 2 and extending above valve 16.
If the trigger 18 is pressed against the action of a spring 19 interposed between said trigger and an external projection 20 of the butt 1, the extension 18 'of the trigger comes s 'apply to the stem of the valve 16 and lower it by an amount corresponding to the displacement of the trigger so as to let the liquid enter in the adjusted amount, as shown in FIG. 2. The mounting of the trigger on the stock appears more clearly in fig. 6 and 7.
A bar 21. is screwed onto the outer wall of the stick and imprisons; in -a transverse recess of the latter, a pin 22 integral with the trigger and. of its extension and forming the pivot axis thereof. It should be noted that the spring 19 pushing back the trigger: l.8 outwards could be omitted;
in fact, the spring 17 acting on the head 16 'of the valve 16 tends to push the latter back into the duct 2, and, consequently, the end of the valve opposite to the head 16' raises the pro lengthening 18 'of the trigger 18 which is thus pushed out of the butt 1, as if it were subjected to the action of the spring .19.
The nozzle 8, for the projection of liquid, pure or mixed with an auxiliary substance and leaving the barrel 5, is constituted by a bulure of reduced diameter extending this ca non, and whose axis passes in the vicinity of the ori fice 7 of the sleeve 6 in the uncovered position. A plastic support 23 separates the nozzle into two passages 23 '.
In this support is formed an orifice into which is introduced a threaded rod 24 extending at the front to terminate in a swollen end 25 acting as a diffuser. The liquid thus leaves the nozzle 8 through the passages 23 '.
The outer wall of the nozzle 8 is threaded to receive a threaded ring 26 made of plastic, having an orifice 27 of diameter slightly greater than the swollen end 25 of the rod 24. By screwing or unscrewing the ring 26,
it more or less strangles the outlet opening of the nozzle 8 by bringing lori-. fice 27 more or less near the swelling end 25.
This variable constriction makes it possible to obtain at will either a jet of liquid when the orifice 27 is well cleared with respect to this swollen end 25, or a more or less fine rain, when the end; 25 protrudes through hole 27.
Seals are arranged in the gun, in particular at 28 at the point where the axis 22 and the extension 18 'of the trigger pass through the wall of the butt 1, at 29 between the nut 12 and the collar 10 of the stopper 9;
to ensure the tightness of the crown 26 with respect to the nozzle 8, to the posterior part of this crown is screwed another smaller crown 30 inside which is disposed a washer 31 foam rubber or any other waterproof material.
It is advantageous to constitute the main parts of the gun in transparent plastic material, in particular the barrel and the sleeve, so that one can immediately see the quantity of product remaining in the sleeve.
