Cutting device, in particular for onions. The present invention is a cutting device, in particular for onions, with a plurality of axially movable blades within a bell and a relative to the bell and to the blades within the bell and parallel to the blades movable union and penetrated by the blades scraper , which is characterized in that the cutting edges sit on a carrier that cooperates with at least one guide bracket connected to the stripper.
The cutting device can preferably be designed in such a way that the carrier ends pass through a guide slot of the guide bracket that is closed at the top.
An exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown in the drawing, namely: FIG. 1 shows a longitudinal section perpendicular to the cutting edges and FIG. 2 shows a view in the direction of arrow A in FIG. 1 with the bell removed.
In the illustrated embodiment is with. 1 denotes a transparent bell of round cross-section made of glass or preferably made of synthetic resin, which is stepped in 2- so that the inner diameter of the lower part is larger. than that of the upper part.
The above-completed bell 1, which is only perforated by openings 3, has an axially arranged guide eye 4 which is used for the rotatable and slidable mounting of the actuating rod 5, onto the end of which the actuating button 6 is screwed. A spring 7 is supported on the one hand against the collar 6ca of the button 6 and on the other hand against the eye 4. The spring thus has to strive to keep the Actuating rod 5 in the upper shown in FIG. 1, given by the punching ring 8 position.
The spacer ring 8 is freely movable on the loading actuating rod 5, held and in its uppermost position abuts against the underside of the eye 4.
The lower end of the actuating rod 5 is penetrated by the carrier 9, which through a bore .5a of the lower end of the actuating rod 5 passes through. The lower end of the actuating rod 5 also has a slot 5 b into which a central, corrugated cutting edge 10 is inserted and in turn is penetrated by the carrier 9. Two pairs of corrugated cutting edges 1'1 and 12 are pushed onto the carrier 9, the width of the cutting edges decreasing towards the outside in accordance with the circular cross section of the bell 1.
The cutting edges 1'1 and 12 are held at a distance from one another by spacers 13 through which the carrier 9 passes. On the outer sides of the last pair of cutting edges 12, a screw nut 14 is screwed onto each carrier 9, whereby the individual spacers and thus also the cutting edges are held in their opposite position.
The free ends 9a of the carrier 9 protrude a certain amount over the screw nut 14 and pass through the guide slot 15a of a guide bracket 15, which bracket is firmly connected to the plate-shaped wiper 16 made of synthetic resin. The guide slots are closed at the top, so that the upper parts 15b of the guide bracket serve as stops for the ends 9a of the carrier 9, which are held slidably within the guide slots 1'aa.
The corrugated cutting edges 10 to 12 correspond in the stripper 7.6 to slots 17 through which these cutting edges can pass. On the inside of the bottom surface 16a of the scraper 16, ribs 17 are provided along the slots 17, which serve mainly as a guide for the cutting edges when their cutting edges are above the level of the underside of the scraper. The diameter of the scraper is dimensioned so that the scraper can be slid in the lower part of the bell 1, but its upward movement is limited by the '29 offset.
The length of the guide slots 15a is to be measured in such a way that it allows a relative displacement of the cutting edges with respect to the scraper until the cutting edges are retracted above the level of the underside of the scraper.
The described construction results in the following mode of operation. An onion to be cut is placed under the bell 1 and the carrier 9 together. the cutting edges 10 to 1'2 are moved from above against the onion against the action of the spring 7 by pressing down the actuating button 6 or the actuating rod 5. The friction of the undulating GE curved cutting within the guide slots 17 is large enough that the stripper 16 makes this movement down with so long until it is against the onion to be cut.
From this moment on, only the cutting edges are pressed down and the cutting process is initiated. If the onion is completely durchgeschnit th, the actuating button 6 is let losge and the actuating rod 5 together with the carriers 9 and the blades 10 to 12 moved back upwards under the action of the spring 7. For the reasons mentioned above, this movement is continued by the scraper until it hits against the deposition of the bell 1. From here on, only the cutting edges are pulled back upwards and the cutting edge adhering to them is well retained by the stripper 16.
As soon as all parts have again reached the starting position shown in FIG. 1, the set of cutting edges together with the actuating button 6 and the actuating rod 5 are rotated within the bell and a new cutting process is initiated.
Through the construction mentioned above, it has become possible to arrange the scraper and cutting edges so that they can move relative to one another without the need to give the cutting edges, as has been customary up until now, a special shape by arranging shoulders.
