Giesswerk für Stereotypieplatten. Die Erfindung- betrifft ein Giesswerk für Stereotypieplatten, und zwar ein Kippgiess- werk. Es sind Kippgiesswerke bekannt, bei denen das Metall in der Giessform unter dem Drueli des Kesselinhaltes erstarrt und welche ;
In der Strecklage des Kurbeltriebes 22, 23 bilden also die Giessform 14/15 und der Schmelzkessel 5 Kamt dem Hahngehäuse 12 ein starres Ganzes. Nachdem das Metall durch Drehen des Hahnes 11 mittels Handhebels 33 in die Giess ;
Foundry for stereotype plates. The invention relates to a casting plant for stereotype plates, specifically a tilting casting plant. Kippgiesswerke are known in which the metal in the casting mold solidifies under the pressure of the kettle contents and which;
They have the advantage over the large foundries of similar constructions that the metal outlet of the boiler is above the 3letall.spierel in the rest position. In one type of this type of furnace, the melting kettle has an open metal outlet, which makes it necessary to close the casting mold before tilting it.
In the other type, the metal outlet is controlled by a cock valve or the like; With these grits, the kettle can be tilted before the mold is closed.
A certain disadvantage with the first mentioned construction is the fact that the sprue has to be cut off afterwards with a special device. In the case of the design with a slide, this works together with the edge of the cooled casting core. This delays the re-melting of the solid metal located in the connecting channel between the boiler and the casting mold.
However, both known types have the. Disadvantage of that. If the level of metal in the boiler has changed, the center of gravity can be changed in such a way that tilting without exertion is only possible with a certain filling. Attempts have been made to eliminate this disadvantage by arranging counterweights and guiding the moving parts in specific curves; however, these are only makeshift remedies that do not lead to fully satisfactory success and also complicate the construction of the foundry.
In another tilting casting plant, which has a controlled metal outlet, the disadvantages mentioned are avoided in that the interior of the melting vessel receiving the metal is designed at least approximately as a rotating body. and during casting it is tilted around an axis that roughly coincides with the axis of rotation of the interior of the boiler. Instead of the circular or approximately circular cup cross-section, a regular polygon can of course also be used as the cross-section.
If a boiler designed in this way is tilted, the focus of the liquid metal is always below the tilt axis, regardless of the degree of filling of the boiler. In order to always be able to tilt such a kettle easily, it would be necessary to arrange a special counterweight, which keeps the balance of the control unit for the metal outlet arranged on the Sehmelzkessel. However, these counterweights are cumbersome and, above all, space-consuming, so that it is the aim of modern foundry construction to avoid them entirely if possible.
The present invention relates to a foundry for Stereotvpieplatten, in which the known drum-shaped melting kettle, whose longitudinal axis is also the tilting axis, is combined with a weight compensation between the pouring mouth including the closing element for the metal outlet. on the one hand and the casting tray on the other hand, with means of connecting organs, z. B. a rods, chains or the like, is connected to the melting kettle in such a way that the pouring mouth including the closing element and the pouring bowl at least approximately keep the equilibrium during the tilting movement.
In this way, any counterweight is avoided at all, and the casting mechanism can be tilted relatively comfortably and easily regardless of the filling of the melting kettle.
In the drawing, a Ausführungsbei play a foundry according to the invention is shown, namely: Fig. 1 shows a section along the line II in Fig. 3, Fig. 2 is a side view of the foundry in the idle state with the mold open, Fig. 3 is a front view and F! -. 4 a section through the metal outlet.
At the upper end of a frame consisting essentially of the side parts 1 and 2 and a Bodenver connection 3 there are two bearings 4-, in which the melting kettle 5 is rotatably mounted with its pin 6. The melting vessel 5 is provided with an outlet that extends over the entire width of the plate and is above the highest metal level in the rest position of the foundry and has an at least approximately circular arc-shaped cross section. After removing the cover 7, metal can be refilled.
In the tubes 8, 9 and 1.0 there are Ileizelemente for melting the cast metal. To control the Me tallauslaufes the cock 11 is used in the semolina mouth-forming cock housing 12, which is tightly screwed to the boiler and which is held by heating elements 13 approximately at the melting temperature of the metal. The casting mold is located underneath the boiler and consists essentially of the Tiessshale 1.4 and the casting core 7.5.
The casting tray 14 and the casting core 1.5 are rotatably mounted on the axis 7.6 mounted in the frame. The casting core hangs in the rest position by means of bolts 1.7 on the tabs 18, which are hinged to the cross connection 7 9. The elongated holes 20 in the tabs 18 allow the casting core to move slightly around the axis 16 when the casting door is closed.
At the pouring tray 1.4 is. arranged an axis 21, on which two Pl.eiiel- rods \? \? With. attack their upper ends. with their lower ends. they are connected to cranks 23 which are firmly seated on the axle 24. 1Iittels hand lever 25, which is also firmly seated on the axis 2.1, so the casting tray 1.4 can be moved up and down. The lower axes of the connecting pieces 26 now engage on the axis 21, while the upper axes hang on the pin 27 of the boiler 5.
It's out of your fingertips. 1 and 2 easily recognize that the weight of the pouring tray 14 counteracts the twisting of the pouring mouth 12 with the tap 11.
If necessary, differences in weight can be made by choosing a suitable lever length, i.e. the distance between the axes 21 and 1.6 or of axes 4 and 27 must be balanced. Zweeknrässi - @ the lever arms are placed in such a way that in the rest position (Fug. _) There is a slight excess weight of the pouring tray 1-1, so that parts 1.1 and 12 are prevented from tipping down by themselves.
In the casting position, the stretched position of the crank mechanisms 2'_ ', 23 causes a firm connection between the boiler 5 and the casting mold 14/15.
When the mold 14 / 1.5 is closed and the melting kettle 5 is tilted, it already lays a little earlier with its protrusions 28 against the stop screws 29 so that it is already at rest when the mold 14/15 is pressed against it. becomes. The opening in the lower eyelet of the connecting rods 26 is therefore as a slot 30 ausgebil det.
This slot 30 is also necessary after casting the mold by a few millimeters from the outlet opening of the lfalinehäuses before the melting kettle is swiveled up, because otherwise the casting pin created in the slot 31 (Fig. 4) makes this swiveling up impossible. Towards the end of the closing movement of the casting tray, the core 15, which hangs on the tabs 18, is taken along.
In the extended position of the crank mechanism 22, 23, the casting mold 14/15 and the melting kettle 5 and the tap housing 12 thus form a rigid whole. After the metal by turning the tap 11 by means of hand lever 33 in the pouring;
form and solidified after a certain time, the tap 11 is closed again, its sharp cutting edge 34 pushing the already solidified metal residue 35 back into the connecting channel, where it under the influence of the heater 13 of the tap housing 12 until the next casting can melt away.
When the casting tray 14 is opened and the bowl 5 is simultaneously pivoted back into the rest position (FIG. 2), the casting core 15 initially takes part in the pivoting movement over a short distance until the tabs 18 make it impossible to continue moving. Then see the casting tray 14 separates from the casting core 15, the cast plate 36 hanging in a known manner on the upper edge of the casting core 15 (Fig. 2) and easily from the water. can be removed.
