Equipment for measurement, display and monitoring of direct currents or direct voltages.
The invention relates to a device for measuring, displaying and monitoring direct currents or direct voltages, in which iron chokes are influenced by the measured variable.
Arrangements of this type are already known in which an alternating current flowing in the two auxiliary windings is fed to the display device via a full-wave rectifier circuit. However, this arrangement has the disadvantage that - assuming pure direct current on the primary side - despite the full rectification, no pure direct current flows on the secondary side, but rather a noticeably fluctuating direct current flows through the load. This is due to the well-known distortion of the waveform of the alternating currents due to the direct current bias of the iron cores.
For the same reason, the pulsations of the direct current do not follow a change in the primary direct current with the desired linearity. Particularly with high primary direct currents, the proportionality between the primary current and the secondary current is not maintained to the desired extent, which means that the measurement accuracy suffers.
Furthermore, the measurement accuracy and curve shape of the secondary current in the known arrangements is also dependent on the magnitude of the auxiliary AC voltage.
The invention makes it possible to achieve better formation of the primary direct current on the secondary side. According to the invention, this is achieved in that the auxiliary windings of the chokes, which are fed from the AC voltage source via rectifiers, form a series circuit with the burden between them.
The attached FIGS. 1 to 7 show exemplary embodiments of the invention. The primary direct current conductor, the current of which influences the two iron chokes, is labeled L in all of the figures. The primary conductor can consist of two separate windings, as shown in the figures, or a common winding or a single conductor. The two auxiliary windings on the iron chokes are labeled Wi and W2 throughout. Instead of the individual throttles, throttle sets consisting of several throttles can also be used.
The individual chokes of the throttle sets are advantageously connected in parallel with large currents and in series with small currents.
The direct current measured variable that is fed to the primary conductor is denoted by Jx, the Hiles alternating voltage that is fed to the two auxiliary windings Wi and W2 is denoted by Q and the burden is denoted by B. To clarify the mode of operation of the device, the occurrence of an equalizing current of the desired magnitude in the latter circuit is assumed below.
In the arrangement according to FIG. 1, a rectifier G is switched on in the circuit of the auxiliary AC voltage in such a way that the rectified current flows in parallel via the two auxiliary windings Wi and Wg, the burden B being in one branch.
In series over the two auxiliary windings and the load, an equalizing current can develop, which supplements the current supplied from the mains to form a direct current.
Fig. 2 shows an embodiment, the view of which basically corresponds to the Schaltwg @ according to # Fig. 1, only with the difference that a rectifier ssj was inserted in the branch containing the burden, so that the equalizing current only in a very specific direction this branch can flow.
FIG. 3 differs from the circuit according to FIG. 1 in that a rectifier G2 is inserted in the branch which does not contain the burden.
4 shows a combination of the circuit shown in FIGS. 2 and 3. In addition to the rectifier G, which is in the common supply of the auxiliary alternating voltage, the two rectifiers Gui and G2 are also arranged in the equalizing circuit.
This results in a combination of the advantages applicable to FIGS. 2 and 3.
In the circuits according to FIGS. 5 to 7, the two rectifiers G3 and G4 are connected to the two sides of the burden B with opposite blocking effects, so that a symmetrical alternating current is drawn from the auxiliary voltage source via the common supply.
In the circuit according to FIG. 5, alternating current flows through the two auxiliary windings W1 and W2.
In the arrangement according to FIG. 6, in a manner similar to that in FIG. 3, a rectifier G2 is also inserted into the one parallel current branch.
FIG. 7 shows a circuit corresponding to FIG. 4, insofar as rectifiers Gi and G2 are inserted on both sides of the burden B.
In order to achieve greater voltage independence from the auxiliary AC voltage and thus the highest possible measurement accuracy, it is advisable in all circuits to use a material for the iron cores of the chokes that has the most abrupt change in induction between the two saturation areas. Furthermore, in order to achieve a linear dependence of the measuring current on the primary direct current, the AW numbers achieved in the induction jump (the magnetic characteristic changed by the direct current magnitude to be measured) are small compared to those achieved by the smallest direct current to be measured will.
Finally, it should be pointed out that instead of two separate iron cores for the chokes, a common iron core with three legs can be used, in which, for example, the primary winding is arranged on the central joint leg and the two auxiliary windings on the two outer legs are.
