Roughing turning tool with insert held in place with a screw. The present invention relates to a roughing turning tool with an insert held in place by means of a screw.
The subject matter of the invention is characterized in that the insert consists of a section of a drawn steel profile rod that carries a hard metal plate, and has a hole in which the visual hood engages, which tightens the insert to the steel holder, and that the hard metal plate is soldered onto the insert without being let and its back rests against a support that is attached to the steel holder. The invention makes it possible to clamp the lathe tool briefly in the lathe and create a steel that is bil lig. and yet withstands high stress.
An embodiment of the subject of the invention is shown in the drawing, namely: FIG. 1 shows a side view of the steel holder, FIG. 2 shows the end view of the steel, FIG. 3 shows the longitudinal view of the roughing steel holder, FIG. 4 shows the front view of this roughing - Steel holder, Fig. The top view. on this roughing steel holder, Fig. 6 the screw, .which is used for screwing the insert, Fig. 7 the side view of the insert, Fig. R. the front view of the insert and Fig. 9 the top view of the insert.
In the steel holder 1, two at right angles, mutually lying surfaces 2 are milled from the front, which serve to accommodate the insert 7, on whose body the hard metal plate 8 is soldered. The surfaces 2 are arranged so that the insert 7 receives the rake and inclination angle required for turning. The insert 7 is held in place by the screw 12. The screw 12 leads with enough clearance through the hole 3 in the steel holder obliquely downward into the Ge threaded hole 10 of the insert 7 and pulls the latter from below to the steel holder. For the purpose of easier production of the bore and the thread in the bore 10, the milling 11 is made first. The head of the screw 12 is about halfway in the countersink 4. To beautify the steel holder, the bevel 6 is available in front.
The back of the hard metal plate 8 rests on the; a plate consist of the support 9, which is about 1 mm thick and consists of pure nickel or annealed iron. The plate 9 is pinned to the steel holder 1 in the two holes 5 and serves to equalize tension and, as mentioned above, as a stop for the back of the hard metal plate, which is soldered to the insert body without being embedded in the insert .
The manufacturing costs of the cutting insert, which is exposed to wear, are relatively low, since only pieces of square steel or another steel profile that have been cut to the necessary bevel can be used, which apart from the inclined threaded hole and the soldering of the hard metal plate, no further processing necessary, which eliminates the expensive, time-consuming forging and milling work.
