Safety lamp for two-wheeled vehicles. The present invention relates to a safety lamp for two-wheeled vehicles, such as. B. Bicycles and motorcycles, which is to be true to be mounted on the rear of the vehicle to increase the safety of the driver in front of following motor vehicles at night and so prevent accidents ver. According to the invention, this safety lamp is characterized in that the lamp housing is provided, on the one hand, with a terminating part that can be seen through from the rear.
in order to be able to act as a tail light, and on the other hand with a lens arranged in front, the whole thing in such a way that, depending on the fastening state of the lamp on the vehicle, the light generated by the light source in the form of a light cone either obliquely upwards to illuminate the back of the Vehicle seated person or can then be thrown down to illuminate the floor next to the vehicle.
On the accompanying drawing, an embodiment of the subject invention is illustrated.
Fig.l shows a bicycle with a rear safety lamp, and Fig. 2 shows this rear safety lamp in section on a larger scale and attached elsewhere.
The safety lamp according to FIG. 2 has a lamp housing a in which, as usual, a reflector r and a socket m connected to a connection cable b. for an electric light bulb. This housing a is seen at its rear end with a disc-shaped closure part c ver.
This end part c consists expediently of a red disk made of pressed glass, the inside of which is seen ver with light-reflecting surface elements having unevenness. The Absehlussteil c is otherwise translucent and at the same time acts as a back beam organ. The reflector r has openings r1 through which the terminating part c is also illuminated, so that the lamp simultaneously serves as a red tail light.
The reflector r is attached to the front part of the Ge housing a, coaxially to the reflector tor r arranged convex lens o, which has the purpose of projecting the light generated by the bulb n. In the form of a light cone onto the area to be illuminated. This lamp is mounted on the rear fender zc of the vehicle by means of a bracket e, so that the driver's back is brightly illuminated diagonally from below thanks to the lens o in this mounting position.
The lamp can also, as shown in Fig. 1, by means of a known fastening organ provided for this purpose on the lamp housing, be attached to a leg of the rear fork of the bicycle so that the light is directed obliquely downward in a bundled form and the The floor, especially the roadside, next to the bicycle is brightly lit. At the same time, the lamp again acts as a reflector or as a red tail light.
