Protective device on a scooter. There are known scooters. The rear wheels of which are covered on both sides by sheet metal protective hoods, one of which surrounds a trunk and the other of which surrounds the engine. If the scooter falls, these parts will be damaged. The subject of this invention is a protective device on such a motor scooter in order to effectively protect its hoods from damage.
According to the invention, it is provided that bent tubes can be screwed tightly on both sheet metal guards, so that they rest against the hoods, the outline of which follows the outline of the outer outline of the hood.
One embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is. shown in the drawing. Fig. 1 shows the dismantled parts, Fig. 2 shows a scooter with the mounted protective device from the case side and Fig. 3 from the engine side .schaubild Lich.
A complete protective device consists of four protective tubes A, B, C and D. Part @l is a tube, the end of which at a is flat- # -pressed and with. is provided with a hole so that it can be attached to the rear fender with a screw. For fastening to the trunk, threaded bolts are welded to point b. In c, the tube is bent and in d it has a thread. A locking ring e is also welded on and serves as a stop for a rubber sleeve F serving as a footrest.
Part B consists of a straight cross tube which is provided with internal threads at both ends.
The laterally protruding protective bow Ü consists of a tube bent three times, which has a thread in cg as in d in h a locking ring as in e. The end i is flattened and provided with a hole for attachment to the rear part of the right footboard.
The 'feil D also consists of a tube bent three times. It is attached to the engine casing by means of the welded-on threaded cam k.
A tab is attached to each of two points. These are used to fasten the device to the footplate G of the vehicle.
The parts El, B and C are screwed together by means of the threads d and cg. A piece of rubber sleeve I ('is pushed onto the locking ring e and the tab f. The same thing happens on the other side of the locking ring according to
As already described, the entire bumper assembly is fastened at points a, b, f, i and k on the vehicle, the sensitive sheet metal parts of which are protected from damage.
The mounting of this protective device on the scooter can be seen in FIGS. 2 and 3.
It can be clearly seen from these figures that the protective tube D has a bend D1 above the engine recess and that the side tubes A and D in the round plan follow the outline of the protective hoods.
The parts C and B could also be connected to one another in one piece.
The protective device shown is suitable for effectively protecting the scooter's bleeh protection hoods from impact and fall damage.
