Fig. 2 ist eine Vorderansicht.
Telescopic front fork suspension for a vehicle. The present invention relates to a telescopic front fork suspension for a vehicle such as: E.g. a bicycle and is characterized in that the fork legs rigidly connected to one another by a bracket bridging the front fork are attached to the underside of the fork head, the standpipes containing springs are mounted displaceably bar.
The accompanying drawing shows an example of an embodiment of the subject invention.
Fig. 1 is a side view of the bicycle fork with a section through a fork leg. Fig. 2 is a front view.
In the drawing, a denotes the frame, b the front wheel and c the hub axle of a bicycle, d the right and e the left fork leg.
Both fork legs are rigidly connected by a bracket f bridging the front wheel.
This connection of parts d, e and f results in a fork that is stable in itself. The hub axis c is relieved of dangerous tensions and can serve its purpose without danger.
This arrangement of the fork legs made it light, the fork head and in particular the sen steerer tube in the usual way and in any length, so that the fork is presented can be attached to any commercially available bicycle frame. Another essential advantage of the spring fork is its simple structure and the considerable cost savings achieved as a result compared to the known telescopic forks.
The traditional shape of the fork is largely retained.
In. The fork legs d and e are each a threaded in its upper part with a retaining pin g with threaded plate h. Two damper springs i and j are arranged on the pin cg, while the threaded plate h carries the main spring k.
The standpipe. l is connected to the underside of the fork head m and is closed at the top by a pin n. The pin n carries a screw n 'and is secured against being pushed out in the fork head by a pin o.
The screw W carries a nut p on which the helical spring k is supported. After removing the pin o, the pin h can be removed and. by turning the nut p up or down, the tension of the main spring 7c can be set differently.
Since the load on the bike often changes and the nature of the road is very different, this arrangement is of great importance.
Exceptionally strong impacts downwards or upwards are absorbed by a damping device which is formed from two additional springs j and i arranged on the retaining pins g. The lower end of the standpipe l is drawn in in such a way that both auxiliary springs j and i above-Lind below can be supported on it. The damping spring i is inside.
of the standpipe l between its drawn-in end and the threaded plate h and the damping spring j between this drawn-in end and the retaining pin g tra lowing part g 'arranged.
In the drawing, the telescopic fork is in the lower end position; the sliding surface parts of the stanchion tube l and the upper ends of the fork legs are covered by a protective tube q which is attached to the stanchion tube on the underside of the head m.
The damping device formed by the springs j and i can also be replaced by an oil recoil damping of a known type.
