Die vorliegende Erfindung will hier Ab hilfe schaffen.
Fire extinguishers secured against overpressure, drifting and overfilling. Fire extinguishers, in which the extinguishing agent is pressurized during use, are often equipped with a safety device against the creation of overpressure during operation of the extinguisher, against drifting in the waiting state and against overfilling. In the known extinguishers of this type, these three devices are provided for themselves at least with regard to the components exerting the relevant effect.
Usually there is a separate pressure relief valve, a propellant device that connects the space above the extinguishing agent content with the environment in the waiting state and a device to prevent the filling of an oversized amount of extinguishing agent. The amount of material and labor for these three facilities is considerable.
The present invention aims to provide help here. Your goal is to combine at least two of the above-mentioned security systems in one structural unit.
According to the invention, the overpressure valve is arranged and designed in such a way that it can be kept open at all times in the waiting state by special means. When the extinguisher is used, these means are expediently automatically ineffective. As a result, the connection between the extinguisher and the environment is closed by the pressure relief valve, so that the gas pressure required to spray the extinguishing agent can develop in the extinguishing agent container.
Should this gas pressure become too high, the now functional pressure relief valve responds and the excess pressure gas is blown off.
In the drawing, three execution examples of the subject invention are provided. There are shown Fig.1 in a hanger th extinguisher with a side-mounted fuse protection against overpressure, drifting and Überfül len in a longitudinal section, Fig. 2 another extinguisher also in the hanger in view, Fig. 3 another extinguisher with hinged handles and protection against excess pressure,
Driving and overfilling in the waiting state in a partial representation in a section horizontal to the extinguisher axis and Fig. 4 the same extinguisher in Betriebszu was in the same representation.
The lower part of the pressure-resistant extinguishing agent container 1 with the compressed gas storage container 2, which can be opened by actuating the striking device 3 for the purpose of operating the extinguisher, is filled with the extinguishing liquid 4, which can be expelled via the riser 6 and the spray nozzle 7.
When the extinguisher is in the waiting state, as shown in FIG. 1, and is suspended in the hanger 8, the pressure relief valve consisting of the housing 9, the movable closure body 10, the compression spring 11 and the cover 12 takes the marked position.
In this position, the button 13a of the valve spindle 13, which extends beyond the pressure relief valve, rests with its lower surface against the two inner surfaces 14a of the bracket 14 of the hanger 8.
When the eraser is removed from the hanger 8 by lifting, the button 13a slides upwards along the two surfaces 14a and over the wedge-like inclined surfaces 14b, and the support of the underside of the button 13a ceases to exist. The spindle 13 and the closing body 10 can thus move to the right, and the surface 10a comes to rest on the valve seat 9a.
When the filled extinguisher is inserted into the hanger, the fork-like end 14a, 14b of the bracket 14 with the inclined surfaces 14b engages under the button 13a and pulls it so far to the left when the extinguisher slides down into its end position that the closure body 10 is against the Force of the compression spring 11 is lifted from the seat 9a.
Extinguishing agent which exceeds the level 4a in the container 1 when the extinguisher is being filled, flows through the opening 9b, the interior of the housing 9 and the openings 12a in the cover 12 to the outside.
If the gas pressure in space 5 is too high when the extinguisher is used, it lifts the closure body 10 against the force of the compression spring 11 from the seat 9a, and the excess gas flows into the interior of the housing 9 and the openings 12a Free off.
Fig. 2 shows an extinguisher whose safety device is located on top of the container 1 be. The button 13a is also embraced by the fork-like end 14a, 14b of the bracket 14 here. In this case the extinguisher hangs on the button 13a and is also held against lateral displacement by the support 8a. The function of the safety device is similar to that of the extinguisher shown in FIG.
The extinguisher shown in FIGS. 3 and 4 has a housing 15 which is tightly connected to the extinguishing agent container 1 and which carries the handles 16 mounted in joints 16a on the outside. With the housing 15, a basket 17 is a related party, which houses an auxiliary spring 18. This extends through the opening 15b and presses against the left surface of the movable union closure body 10, which is guided by means of Rip pen 15c of the housing 15.
With its right side, the closure body 10 is supported against the compression spring 11, which in turn presses on the left surface of the pressure piece 19, like the one. The edges of the right-hand surface of this pressure piece 19 rest against the noses 16b of the folding handles 16 and press them into the position shown in which the ends 16c are in contact with the extinguishing agent container 1.
When using the extinguisher who brought the handles into the position shown in FIG. The noses 16b press the pressure piece 19 to the left during the movement required for this, the spring 11 is tensioned, the closure body 10 is pressed against the seat 15a and the auxiliary spring 18 is compressed. The overpressure valve is now in a functional state and becomes effective in the event of overpressure.
If the handles 16 are released, they snap back, initially under the action of the spring 11, then under the action of the auxiliary spring 18 in the position shown in FIG. 3. The pressure relief valve is now open again. If the extinguishing agent container is refilled, the level of the extinguishing agent is limited by the overflow opening formed by the open pressure relief valve.
Finally, the impact device, which is used to smash the acid tube or to open the compressed gas reservoir of the fire extinguisher, can be connected to components which keep the pressure relief valve open in the waiting state and which close the excess pressure valve when the impact device is actuated and are ready to operate bring stand.
