Rigid insulating body, in particular for the thermal insulation of parts of a pipeline The subject of the present invention is a rigid insulating body, in particular for the thermal insulation of parts of a pipeline with two sheet metal parts running at a constant distance from one another, the edges of which are covered by an insert of heat-insulating, elastic and heat-resistant material are held at a mutual distance from one another and isolated from one another.
Such insulators are particularly suitable wherever accessible fittings such as valve flanges and the like must be provided with removable insulation. They are generally not used to isolate long pipelines.
According to the present invention, means are now provided on at least one part to hold the insert immovably.
In. of the accompanying drawing. an exemplary embodiment of the invention, namely shows: FIG. 1 a cross section through a first embodiment according to the line I-I of FIGS. the associated Gnmdriss, Fig ;. 3 an enlargement of part of FIG.
n In: the in Figs. 1, 2 and 3 dargestell th embodiment two in constant spacing from each other extending sheet metal shells 1, 2 are provided, the along their edges of the 3, 4 by an insert '5 of non-thermally conductive, elastic and heat resistant material, e.g. B. bestzopf held by an As at a certain distance from each other and isolated from each other.
The two sheet metal shells are connected by means of the edge 4 which is bent from the sheet metal shell 1. On the other hand, it is supported on the insert 5 by means of a few straps ss. The sheet metal shell 1 is connected to the shell 2 by means of screws 7 which pass through the insert. From the removability of part 1 allows the stop fen the sheet metal housing with Isolierstodf.
To fix the insert in the direction of its longitudinal extension, one could also instead of the 'screws 7, at least on one shell against the other shell, attach pins directed toward the other shell, the length of which would be smaller than the distance between the shell edges.
In order to secure the insert 5 immovably in its position downwards and upwards, a support strip 8 is now provided on the outer shell 2, which however does not touch the edge 4 of the inner shell 1. The latter is coming. much more to just lie against insert 5 ..
This support strip 8 can be arranged on the outer part: 2 as well as on the inner part 1 and the edge 4 on one or the other part. The support strip and the edge that overlaps the insert on its upper side must of course not. be arranged on the same part.
