Drive arrangement for cable cars and cable crane systems.
The present invention relates to a drive arrangement for cable cars, in particular aerial tramways, and cable crane systems. especially for building installations.
The arrangement is intended to enable the winch drum to be driven temporarily or continuously at a speed that is below the normal operating speed with low power consumption, without the need to use costly gear arrangements covering the entire speed range.
Furthermore, it should be possible to determine the size of the motor power to be installed. in cable crane systems for building installations and the like, in which the hoisting and traction motors had to be dimensioned relatively large in order to achieve high speeds and to transport large loads.
The reason for the arrangements customary today is primarily that the speeds and loads, especially in the first switching stages, cannot be controlled with enough sensitivity by means of the usual three-phase current circuit. In such folds it was therefore often necessary to resort to the very expensive Ward-Leonhard circuit, the control accuracy of which in most cases exceeds the precision required for passenger trams and cable crane systems even in the first switching stages.
With suspension railways for passenger transport ve. It is known that the speed immediately in front of and behind the stations is low. The same is true for an inspection trip. en requires a slow speed.
Finally, in order to reduce the wear of the rope and the wear and tear of the moving parts, the company companies sometimes demand that it should be possible to drive at a below normal speed in times of low traffic, and at above normal in times of heavy traffic Traffic peaks should be possible without additional investments and, if possible, avoiding the relatively expensive equipment customary today.
It is known that three-phase motors can still be safely controlled in a range of up to about 1/5 of their nominal speed with known control elements and suitably designed switching devices.
According to the invention, at least two three-phase motors are provided in order to achieve the required maximum output, and means which enable these motors to act either individually or jointly on a single drive element.
The two three-phase motors can be designed in such a way that their outputs are in a ratio of 1: 2.
Furthermore, the drive can take place via an asymmetrical planetary gear on the drive pulley or winch drum.
This makes it possible, for example when starting off, to start the weaker motor and only start the more powerful motor when it has reached its nominal speed and nominal power.
The drawing shows an exemplary embodiment of the drive arrangement according to the invention. The coaxial three-phase motors 2 and 3 are arranged on both sides of the gear box 1. The driving force of the motor 3 is twice as great as that of the motor 2, so that if the total driving power of the two motors? 2 and 3 total 100 HP, the engine? 33.3 hp and the engine 3 has 66.7 hp.
The three-phase motors 2 and 3 each work via a coupling 4 or 5 on the control gears 7 and 8, which are coaxial with the planetary gear carrier 6 and mesh with the bevel gearwheels 9 and 10 mounted in the planetary gear carrier 6. The planet gear carrier 6, which is provided with a ring gear on its periphery, meshes with the spur gear 11, which drives the gear 12 and the drive pulley 13 of the suspension railway for passenger transport, which is seated on the same axis, via the pinion connected to it.
The mode of operation of the exemplary embodiment of a drive device for passenger suspension railways shown in the drawing is approximately as follows:
When starting, the smaller motor 2 is switched on first. The planetary gear with countershaft is designed so that when the large motor 3 is at a standstill and the small motor 2 is running at the nominal speed, the wind turbine or the cable car drive pulley 13 only rotates at a third of the normal speed.
Since a three-phase motor is known to be easily usable up to about a fifth of its nominal speed when using a normal resistance circuit, the drive arrangement shown results in a very smooth start-up and also the possibility of removing the cable car drive pulley 13 when it is fully loaded, i.e. to drive motor 2 working with the most favorable efficiency at a third of the normal speed.
If the motor 3 is now switched on, the power and speed of the motor 3 increases as the starting resistance increases, which finally brings the speed of the drive disk 13 to the maximum value. The motor 2 maintains its rated speed.
If an average speed is desired, as can be achieved by means of the power of the motor 3 alone, after the start has been effected by means of the motor 2, a switch is made to the motor that has been started in the meantime
3 made and with the progressive appearance of the starting resistance of the motor 3, the motor 2 is gradually stopped.
With such a circuit, it is therefore easily possible to operate the system at 2/3 of the maximum speed with the motor 3 fully loaded.
The circuits described above can be carried out by hand according to the instructions given. For the sake of simplicity and for the purpose of avoiding errors, however, it is expedient and also easily possible to provide a special switchgear that automatically performs the above-mentioned switching measures when actuated, for example when turning a lever attached to it.
It can be designed in such a way that when turning a crank or the like for the purpose of starting the system, first the starting resistances of the weaker motor and only later those of the stronger alotors are switched off as the starter crank continues to be operated,
The switchgear can also be designed in such a way that, as the starter crank is activated, the resistors used to start each of the three-phase motors are first switched off and then the other motor is gradually shut down again while the resistors of one motor are further switched off.
If, in the illustrated and described embodiment, the subdivision of the total power distributed to motors 2 and 3 in a ratio of 1: 2 has been assumed, all other ratios due to the special operating conditions and requirements can of course be selected .
The arrangement according to the invention also has the not insignificant advantage that if an engine malfunction occurs, it is by no means necessary to shut down the system until a new drive element is brought in or until the damaged engine is repaired; You can continue to operate the system with the still usable Alotor.
During the low-operating period, when the system is only operated at a part of the maximum speed t as intended, the oiling work can also be carried out on one of the two motors. In such systems, in which a replacement motor must be kept in stock today because of essential operational safety, such a replacement motor is unnecessary when applying the invention from the above-mentioned points of view, because, as already mentioned, there is always at least one motor to Is available to keep the system in operation, albeit at a reduced speed.
