MAIN PATENT The invention relates to a synchronous motor. This motor is characterized in that it comprises a stator comprising a winding housed inside a carcass of annular form of ferromagnetic material which surrounds this winding and which has serrated annular edges, separated by an air gap. and arranged facing each other so that each tooth of one of said edges faces a space between teeth of the other edge, the teeth of one of the edges thus forming poles magnetic alternating with the magnetic poles formed by the teeth of the other edge, and a rotor in ferromagnetic material present.
teeth in a different number from that (the teeth on each edge of said carcass, this rotor being magnetized and rotatably mounted (the way that the ends of its teeth are separated from the poles of the stator by a small air gap and are located on a key surface revolution of the same axis as said bus breaks.
The appended drawing represents, by way of example, two embodiments of the synchronous motor forming the subject of the present invention.
Fig. 1 is an axial sectional view of the first embodiment, according to 1-1 of FIG. 2.
Fig. 2 is a plan view thereof, and FIG. 3 is an axial sectional view similar to that of the freeze. 1 of the second embodiment. The embodiment shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 comprises a stator which comprises a winding 10 housed inside a carcass 11 of annular shape and made of ferromagnetic material, for example mild steel, which surrounds this winding and which has annular edges 12 serrated and arranged facing each other.
The teeth 13 of each of these edges come opposite the spaces 14 formed between the teeth of the other edge, each of the teeth 13 being separated from the opposite edge of the carcass 11 by an air gap. In this way, the teeth of each edge 12 of the carcass 11 form magnetic poles alternating with the magnetic poles formed by the teeth 13 of the other edge of this carcass. The carcass 11 is made of -two similar annular parts and stamped in -the sheet, these parts being arranged opposite one another and centered with respect to one another by complementary bearing surfaces 15 .
The teeth of each of the parts of the carcass 11 extend facing each other along a cylindrical surface inside the bearing 10. A plate 16 is fixed to the carcass 11 by means of screws 17 and it is centered on one of the parts of this carcass by means of pins 18. A central bearing is provided at 19 in the plate 16 and a shaft 20 is rotatably mounted in this bearing.
This shaft carries a rotor 21 constituted by a disc of ferromagnetic material having, at its periphery, teeth in a different number from that of the teeth on each edge of the carcass 11. This disc is magnetized and it is arranged so that the ends rotten teeth. separated from the poles of the stator by a small air gap and is vented on a surface of revolution parallel to that passing through said alternating poles.
It will be noted that a plane perpendicular to the axis of this surface of revolution passing at an equal distance from the ends of the respective teeth of the two edges of the carcass 11 also passes through the ends of the teeth of the rotor, these teeth being at the inside the cylindrical surface along which the teeth 13 of the stator extend.
The rotor 21 is force-fitted against a bearing surface of the shaft 20, which has, at its end opposite the rotor, a second bearing surface which cooperates with the plate 16 to hold the rotor axially in position. On the other side of the plate 16, the shaft 20 carries a small disc 22 which is force-fitted on the shaft 20. This disc also serves as an axial stop and it has at least one notch 23 formed at its periphery. . A pinion 24 is also force-fitted on the shaft 20, against the disc 22.
A section of steel strip 25 is bent so as to form an eyelet through which passes one of the screws 17 fixing the plate 16 to the carcass 11. This section is springy, so that its free end comes to s 'apply against the periphery of the disc 22 and is capable of cooperating with the notch 23. The section 25 thus prevents the shaft 20 and the rotor 21 from rotating in the direction of needles, of clockwise, as seen in FIG. . 2, of a larger angle are the one separating two successive encoeues 23.
If desired, this section can be moved to the position shown in phantom in FIG. 2 and in which it prevents the rotor 21 from rotating more than said angle counterclockwise.
An axis 26 is riveted at 27 in a hole in the plate 16. This axis carries a toothed wheel 28 cooperating. with the pinion 24 and a pinion 29 integral with this toothed wheel. The reduction unit comprising the wheel 28 and the pinion 29 is mounted on the shaft 26 so as to be able to rotate freely., And the pinion 29 is provided to drive an apparatus, for example a music apparatus, the latter. then comprising an eonformed gear and arranged so as to be able to cooperate with the pinion 29.
The second embodiment represented by the thread. 3 differs from the first in that its stator comprises two windings each housed inside an annular casing 11, these carcasses being coaxial. This motor also comprises two coaxial rotors 21 each of which cooperates with the teeth: of one of the carcasses 11 and which are. force-fitted on the same shaft 30, spacers 31 and 32 also being threaded through. force on shaft 30 and serving to space the rotors 21 from each other, from plate 16 and an opposing plate 16 'which is attached to the opposite end of the motor to the plate 16.
This embodiment provides a torque twice as large as the first. Since it has an appreciable axial dimension, the shaft 30 is rotatably mounted in two opposite bearings respectively provided in the plate 16 and in the plate 16 '. These turntables are connected one to. the other by columns, not represented, which are used for. tighten against each other and center the two carcasses 11 of the stator with respect to each other.
The synchronous motors described are extremely simple and inexpensive. Almost all of their elements can be made by stamping or turning, except 10 windings, and their mounting is. very easy and can be performed by non-specialized personnel. They are. particularly. suitable for training musical devices. Thanks to the disc 22 and to the strip section 25, which each of these motors comprises, they always start easily and. in the same direction of rotation and their speed <constant rotation is, very advantageous for the drive of devices to. music and many other applications.
It will be noted that it is possible to change the direction of rotation of the motor in operation by letting the strip section 25 run from one side of the disc 22 to the other (, removed (the disc . It is. Obvious. That this section of band could be replaced by a double pawl arranged so as to be able to be actuated by an apparatus driven by the motor, so as to reverse the direction of rotation of the latter to a time chosen during the operation of the device.
