Process for the production of massage brushes from thermoplastic materials.
The invention relates to a method for producing massage brushes with a handle using thermoplastic materials. The part of the brush that is used to exercise the massage consists of a body made for the person, which is provided with a number of tentacle-like active elements. The formation of these tentacles from thermoplastic material brings about a special massage effect, which in a pleasant way induces blood circulation in the skin.
Preferably such massage devices are suitable for brushing the head.
Massage brushes with Ten takelkorper made of thermoplastic material and handle made of wood are known. Apart from this. Since the weight of the bristle is increased by the wooden handle, the connection of the tentacle body with such a handle is difficult and cumbersome.
Therefore, in the present invention, it is assumed that the brush handle will also be made of thermoplastic material.
The obvious measure of producing both components from a single piece of the same material, however, allows only limited possibilities in terms of shaping in terms of production technology. In particular, it cannot be carried out easily. Massage devices with a handle-like grave, i.e. based on the basic shape of ordinary brushes, can be produced in this way using the usual injection molding machines,
It is known to design massage brushes with a handle and a tentacle body from two types of thermoplastic material, in such a way that the tentacle body is attached to the handle body by means of a glued-on frame.
The mounting frame is a third component of the device. r and must be placed and fastened separately.
In contrast to this, according to the method according to the invention, the massage brush is produced in such a way that the tentacle body is attached to the handle part made of a different thermoplastic material in an injection molding process. In that the tentacle body is produced in the same operation and is connected to the handle part, a simple production method is achieved.
The massage brush made in this way, although made of two different materials, represents a test, a self-contained whole. TenS table body and handle are inextricably linked.
In the drawing, the method according to the invention is explained using a massage brush. 1 shows a diagram of the finished brush, FIG. 2 shows a diagram of the handle part, and FIG. 3 shows a cross section of the brush.
The tentacle body a carries a number of high, slack-anchored attachments (tentacles) b which, forming the active elements, stand together like the bristles of a brush.
The handle part of the device consists of a handle c and a similar extension, on the top of which the curved support surface c for part a-b lies. The flange e is offset from the part d by means of a groove f, which runs on the two long sides and on the front side of the surface, and on the other hand connects to the handle c.
The massive handle part r with extension d is made of a thermoplastic material in the illustrated embodiment, which results in a solid, hard body, for. B. polystyrene or cellulose acetate, produced by injection molding. Part o is sprayed onto this body. This part is made of another thermoplastic material that, like polyethylene, provides an elastic product.
The injection process leading to the formation of the tentacle body is carried out in such a way that an edge y that is rounded downwards and overlaps the surface e of the handle stiiekes d with an extension h that enters the groove / handle part de like a fold is created (Fig. 3 ).
Now the massage brush seen in FIG. 1 is ready. The tentacle body and the handle form a closed whole and are inextricably linked. So it is the tentacle body in the same injection molding process by which it was produced, combined with the handle part of the device.
The groove f can be replaced by one or more differently profiled and arranged recesses or depressions of the part d-c.
