Musical movement. The present invention relates to a musical movement comprising a drive mechanism for a figurine mounted evening a rotary vertical axis perpendicular to the axis of the spiked roller cooperating with the musical blades.
This movement. to music is. characterized in that said. drive mechanism includes a gear transmission from the end of the shaft of said roller opposite to the winding device, the whole in such a way that the axis of the figurine is in a vertical plane passing approximately through the middle of the movement.
The accompanying drawing shows, by way of example, an embodiment of the musical movement according to the invention.
Fig. 1 is an end-view of this movement, and fig. 2 is a front elevational view thereof.
The musical movement shown com takes a frame 1 carrying the winding device 2, the spiked roller 3 cooperating with the musical blades 4 and the regulator 5.
A mechanism is also provided for driving a figurine 6 mounted on a rotating vertical axis 7 perpendicular to the shaft 8 of the roller 3. This dragging mechanism comprises a toothed wheel 9 wedged on the end. of the shaft 8 of the roller 3 opposite the winding device 2, a pinion 10 meshing with the toothed wheel 9 and wedged on a shaft 11.
journaled in a bracket 12 fixed to the frame 1 z and a toothed ring 13 carried by the other end of the shaft 11, this ring gear engaging a pinion 14 fixed on the end of the vertical axis 7 carrying the figure 6.
It will be noted as represented in FIG. 1 that the axis 7 of the figurine 6 is in a vertical plane A -A passing approximately through the middle of the musical movement.
. The axis 7 is mounted in a block 15 articulated around a horizontal axis 16 so as to allow the tilting of the figurine 6 from the position shown in solid lines in FIG. 2 in the position in phantom, that is to say in a horizontal plane above the movement. This tilting is necessary, for example, when moving. is mounted in a box and the figure must be stowed away when closing the box lid.
A return spring 17 maintains the pinion 14 in engagement with the toothed ring 13 and tends to return the figurine 6 from the horizontal position to the vertical position.
The axis 7 carries a spherical cap 18, the top of which is close to the feet of the figure 6 and the edge of which cooperates with one end of a stop lever 19. The other end of this articulated lever 20 cooperates. with the regulator 5. A spring 21 maintains the end of the lever 19 against the edge of the spherical cap 18.
When the figure 6 is tilted horizontally, the pinion 14 leaves the ring gear 13 and the lever 19 is. brought into the position shown in phantom with its free end blocking the régülat.eur 5, which stops the movement.
The embodiment described has the advantage of having a reduced size thanks to the fact that the figurine is located in the vertical plane A -A located approximately in the middle of the movement.
