Shock absorbers. Shock absorbers are known in which the shock energy is destroyed by compression of (las. With these dampers, by choosing an increased initial cli @ itekes, it is possible to destroy larger energies in a smaller pressure chamber, in which each time in ('ebrauclisfalle das Pressurized gas from the outside.
These 'shock absorbers were thus from the constant presence. a pressurized gas supplying system dependent and required supply lines and control organs, which the. Approve the gas inlet in the drilling crane according to your requirements.
The object of the present invention is to make the shock absorber independent of the constant presence of an always operational Dritckgas- system, and this task is achieved according to the invention in that the shock absorber, the gas under permanent dirt in a cylinder sealed to the outside is located in which it is additionally compressed for shock absorption by a piston moving from the shock. When the cylinder is filled with compressed gas, the glass pressure can be adjusted to the energy to be destroyed.
The shock absorber can be designed in such a way that the piston automatically returns to its starting position after it has been actuated.
In the drawing, five exemplary embodiments of the invention are shown in FIGS. 1 to 5 in the visual rivet. In the shock absorber according to FIG. 1, the piston 1 has a piston rod 2 on one side, which is led out through the cover -1 inserted into the cylinder 3. To seal the gap between cylinder 3 and cover 4 and between cover 4 and piston rod \? is seen a common elastic ring 5 before. The piston. has a Drosselboh tion 6 and strikes against an adjusting ring 7 in the rest position.
In the lid 4 there is also a pack B.
The mode of operation of this shock absorber is as follows: To fill the cylinder 3 with. Compressed air, a compressed air line is screwed onto the cylinder cover 4 by means of a thread. The compressed air then penetrates the pack 8 and the sealing ring 5 past the piston rod 2 along into the interior of the Zy alleviate a, where it presses the elastic up processing ring 5 from the rod 2 away. For the sealing ring, among other things, rubber, silicone or a thermoplastic material come into consideration.
After filling, the compressed air in the cylinder presses the flange surrounding the rod 2 of the sealing ring, which is U-shaped in cross section, strongly against the rod and practically closes the cylinder space from the outside hermetically. The air pressure in the interior of the cylinder is thus permanently maintained. Under the effect of the enclosed compressed air. The piston is held in its upper position over the piston cross-section corresponding to the piston rod, which is determined by the adjusting ring 7 in the cylinder. If the piston 1 is now pressed down by a force P, it also compresses the compressed air under it. Part of this air flows through the bore 6 into the space above the piston 1.
By appropriately dimensioning the bore 6 in the piston or the clearance between the piston and cylinder, the highly compressed air can be directed so quickly to the opposite side of the piston during a damping process that rebound is avoided and the piston is slowly returned to its starting position, with the Compressed air on top of the piston acts as a dampening agent. Since the air filling is retained with this shock absorber, a new supply of pressure cap and a system that is constantly available for delivery of compressed air is no longer necessary.
In the shock absorber according to FIG. 2, the piston rod made up of parts 2a and 2b is led out on both sides. If the parts 2a and 2b have the same diameter d1 and d2, the piston in the cylinder 3, which is constantly filled with compressed air, is moved only by the external force P. If, however, the diameters dl, d2 of the parts 2a and 2b are selected to be of different sizes, then a return in the direction towards the side of the larger piston rod diameter occurs.
This shock absorber is used to dampen shocks that take place alternately in opposite directions. The stroke of the piston is limited by the end caps 9a and 9b on the piston rod parts in such a way that it does not hit the sealing rings 5a and 5b, whose inner and outer flanges again act as valves that hermetically seal the cylinder chamber from the outside the sealing rings close the filling of the cylinder through the gap between the externally threaded covers 4a., 4b and the piston rod parts.
In place of the sealing rings with a U-shaped cross section, sealing rings made of round rubber cord can also be used, as is the case with the examples according to FIGS. 3, -1 and 5 is the case. Both between the screwed cover and the cylinder as well as between the piston rod and the cover can each be one (Fig. 3 and d) or several (Fig. 5) Dielitungsringe be used, which are set in grooves of the cover. The cover is designed as a stop for the piston.
In this case, the cylinder must be filled via a non-return valve, consisting of a nipple 12, a valve plate 10, a round or flat rubber sealing ring 11 and a locking screw cap 13. After filling, the valve plate 10 is pressed onto the Diehtungsrinfl '11, which creates a hermetic seal.
By suitable choice of the gas pressure, the shock absorber can be adjusted for a specific energy to be destroyed. Adaptation to a certain type of impact is also possible by suitable dimensioning of the drilling 6 in the piston. When using a with. a lubricant-soaked packing 8, the run and the seal can be improved. It can be designed to prevent dust and foreign bodies from entering the cylinder.
