Fig. 1 einen Vertikalschnitt und
Fig. 2 einen Horizontalschnitt durch die Einrichtung, während
Fig. 5 zeigt eine Variante eines Details.
Process for conveying material and equipment for carrying out the process.
The present invention relates to a method for conveying material from a container with the aid of a conveying element with a vertical shaft.
According to the invention, a vertically adjustable conveyor wheel is provided, which is held resting on the surface of the material in such a way that the topmost layer thereof is stripped off and then fed to a guide part.
The method can be used with advantage for conveying sawdust, wood shavings and the like to a furnace.
To carry out this method, a device is used with a vertically adjustable conveyor wheel, which is equipped with means such. B. rollers, runners and the like, is provided so that it always rests on the surface of the material. In order to be able to adjust it easily in the vertical direction, the conveyor wheel is advantageously connected to a counterweight via: cables or the like. The hub of the feed wheel is expediently guided on the shaft with play in such a way that the feed wheel can adapt to the surface of the material and can be easily raised and lowered.
In the accompanying drawing, for example, an embodiment of a device for carrying out the method is shown schematically, namely:
Fig. 1 is a vertical section and
Fig. 2 is a horizontal section through the device, while
Fig. 3 shows a section through the hub of the conveyor wheel on a larger scale.
FIG. 4 is a section along the line IV-IV of FIG. 2.
Fig. 5 shows a variant of a detail.
The device shown is housed in a silo 1 and comprises a vertical shaft 2 and a conveyor wheel 3, which in the embodiment shown has four arms. The hub 4 of the conveyor wheel 3 is guided with play on the shaft 2, the parts 2, 4 being of square cross-section. Springs 5 secure the feed wheel on the shaft 2 but allow the former to move with respect to the latter. A round shaft 2 could of course be provided, which takes the hub 4 with it with a wedge. The latter can be guided with rollers on the shaft.
The hub 4 of the conveyor wheel is connected by means of a cable 6 to a counterweight 7, which is advantageously composed of several partial weights, so that the counterweight and conveyor wheel can be balanced and the latter can be easily adjusted from the outside. If the counterweight is suitably dimensioned and adjusted, the feed wheel can always be held on the surface of the material 8 with the necessary pressure. As a result of the play of the hub 4 on the shaft 2, adjustment, that is to say tilting of the conveyor wheel, is easily possible. To guide the conveyor wheel on the material surface can either on its arms or on special; radially from standing arms guide or support members 10 may be provided. Rollers, runners, etc. can serve as such.
The organs 10 are preferably placed in the vicinity of the conveyor arms. The drive wheel 2a is resiliently connected to the drive shaft 2 to protect the drive motor.
The material can either be carried away to the outside, with a worm 9 being provided on the circumference of the conveyor wheel. In another embodiment, the screw conveyor 9 can be accommodated in the interior of the hollow shaft 2, in which case only one conveyor arm is advantageously used. Depending on the material, this screw can stand still, with the material being conveyed down along the screw flights, or it can rotate. The screw can be housed in a round, square or polygonal housing. This screw causes the material to be distributed continuously.
Instead of a screw, another distribution device can also be provided; z. B. fixed or movable flaps 13 drawn against each other can be attached to two opposing walls in a vertical shaft 12 according to FIG. These flaps can be pivoted or resiliently attached to the shaft.
The conveyor system described allows the implementation of the method according to which the material is always to be conveyed away from the surface. This means that any bridging that cannot be avoided in the case of conveyor wheels housed in the material itself is safely avoided.
As can be seen from the drawing, the arms 14 of the conveyor wheel 3 are provided on their lower side facing the material 8 with roughening members 15 in the form of teeth, resilient prongs, rakes or the like. An extension 18 of the tension member 17 is attached under the weight 7, so that the counterweight can be easily gripped in any position of the conveyor wheel and, together with the latter, can be adjusted.
The pulling element can act on a bracket 19 directly next to the shaft 2 or, in a variant, the pulling element 17 can consist of two strands 17 'which act symmetrically to the shaft 2 on the conveyor wheel.
With this latter arrangement, any tilting of the conveyor wheel is prevented.
At the end of a conveyor arm 14, an arm 20 is pivotably mounted. A spring 21 tries to press it against the inner wall of the container 1. At the end of the arm 20 there is a roller 22. By means of this arm and the roller 22, the inner walls of the container are coated and prevent material from remaining in the corners of the container. Instead of this swinging arm, inclined walls could also be attached in the corners 23, from which the material slides off. These corners are drawn in dash-dotted lines.
Next to the container 1, the conveyor or distribution screw 9 is attached, which is connected to the former via a longitudinal slot 25. This slot can be closed by one or more slides 26 during the filling of the material 8 into the container 1.
The conveying and distributing screw 9 leads to a suction box 27 which is suspended pivotably at 28 and which is connected to a fan via line 29. A limit switch 30 is actuated by the box 27, which is moved down against the action of the spring 31, as soon as enough material has entered the suction box. This puts the system out of operation and at the same time a signaling device, e.g. B. a signal horn, put into operation.
The feed wheel is guided by the springs 5 on the hub 4, while the latter is in turn supported by means of rollers 34 on the ring 35 firmly connected to the bracket 19. This is prevented from turning by a lever 36, at the outer end of which there is a roller 37. The latter rolls on a stationary, vertical running rail 38.
