Montre-bracelet. La présente invention a pour objet une montre-bracelet dont le bracelet est constitué par deux branches arquées rigides articulées à. la boîte. Selon l'invention, la montre-bra celet est telle que, dans la position de ferme ture, qui est assurée par des ressorts de rap pel, les bouts desdites branches sont dispo sés côte à côte, tandis que, dans la position d'ouverture maximum, les extrémités des deux bouts sont éloignées l'une de l'autre.
Le dessin annexé montre une forme d'exé cution de l'objet de l'invention donnée uni quement à titre d'exemple.
La fig. 1 est une représentation schéma tique d'une montre-bracelet de type connu, tandis que les fig. 2 et 3 sont des vues d'une montre-bracelet selon l'invention.
Dans la montre-bracelet représentée à la fig. 1, le bracelet est constitué par deux bran ehes arquées rigides 1 et 2, articulées en 4 à la boîte de la montre 3 et soumises chacune à l'action d'un ressort qui tend à maintenir les branches 1 et 2 dans la position fermée, dans laquelle les deux extrémités A et B sont en regard l'une de l'autre et disposées dans un même plan. Pour enfiler la montre-bracelet sur le poignet, on écarte les deux- branches 1 et 2 contre l'action desdits ressorts, les deux extrémités A et B atteignant, lors de l'écarte ment maximum, les points A' et B\ dont la distance L peut être, par exemple, de 35 mm.
Dans ce type de montre-bracelet, en cas de rupture de l'un des ressorts susmentionnés, les deux extrémités A et B s'éloignent l'une de l'autre, et cela même sans que le portëur s'en rende compte; la distance qui les sépare alors (1/2 L) peut "être suffisante pour que, lors d'un mouvement brusque du bras, la montre se détache du poignet. Le but de la présente invention est d'éviter cet inconvé nient dans les montres-bracelets de ce genre.
On voit sur la fig. 1 que si l'on prolonge les branches 1 et 2 de manière que leurs extré mités arrivent respectivement en A" et B", ces extrémités viendront occuper, à l'écarte- . ment maximum<I>L,</I> les points A"' et<I>B"'.</I> Il va sans dire que les charnières 4 pourront être construites de façon à permettre un mouve ment angulaire plus grand des branches 1 et 2. Les conditions pour l'enfilage de la montre sur le poignet seront les mêmes que celles offertes par la montre décrite précé demment.
Mais dans ce cas, lors de la rupture de l'un des ressorts de rappel des branches 1 et 2 (celui de la branche 2 par exemple), l'écartement L' entre les deux extrémités sera égale à la distance entre les points A" et B"', c'est-à-dire considérablement inférieur à 1/2 L, ce qui élimine tout risque de perte ou de chute de la montre.
Dans l'exécution pratique, les deux bouts des branches arquées 1 et 2 seront, en position de fermeture du bracelet, disposés côte à côte, ce que l'on obtiendra, de préférence, en donnant aux branches arquées l'allure d'une demi- spire hélicoïdale et une forme effilée, comme montré par la fig. 2, qui est une vue depuis le bas d'une montre conforme à l'invention, et par la fig. 3 qui est une vue en élévation de la même montre.
La charnière pourra- être, par exemple, du type dans lequel l'extrémité de la branche masque complètement le ressort de rappel ou du-type dans lequel l'articulation est entière ment masquée.

In the wristwatch shown in FIG. 1, the bracelet is made up of two rigid arched arms 1 and 2, articulated at 4 to the watch case 3 and each subjected to the action of a spring which tends to keep the arms 1 and 2 in the closed position , in which the two ends A and B are facing each other and arranged in the same plane. To put the wristwatch on the wrist, the two branches 1 and 2 are moved apart against the action of said springs, the two ends A and B reaching, during the maximum separation, the points A 'and B \ of which the distance L can be, for example, 35 mm.
In this type of wristwatch, if one of the aforementioned springs breaks, the two ends A and B move away from each other, and this even without the wearer realizing it; the distance which then separates them (1/2 L) can "be sufficient so that, during a sudden movement of the arm, the watch becomes detached from the wrist. The object of the present invention is to avoid this drawback in such wristwatches.
It is seen in fig. 1 that if the branches 1 and 2 are extended so that their ends arrive respectively at A "and B", these ends will come to occupy, at the gap. maximum <I> L, </I> points A "'and <I> B"'. </I> It goes without saying that the hinges 4 can be constructed in such a way as to allow greater angular movement of the branches 1 and 2. The conditions for putting the watch on the wrist will be the same as those offered by the watch described above.
But in this case, when one of the return springs of branches 1 and 2 (that of branch 2 for example) breaks, the distance L 'between the two ends will be equal to the distance between points A "and B" ', that is to say considerably less than 1/2 L, which eliminates any risk of loss or fall of the watch.
In the practical execution, the two ends of the arched branches 1 and 2 will be, in the closed position of the bracelet, arranged side by side, which will be obtained, preferably, by giving the arched branches the appearance of a half helical turn and a tapered shape, as shown in fig. 2, which is a view from the bottom of a watch according to the invention, and in FIG. 3 which is an elevational view of the same watch.
The hinge could be, for example, of the type in which the end of the branch completely masks the return spring or of the type in which the articulation is completely hidden.
