Description
Plate-shaped solid body. The invention relates to a plate-shaped strength body which can be produced, for example, from sheet metal or other suitable materials. It is characterized in that it consists of at least two wall parts which are provided with indentations which are firmly anchored to one another at their apexes.
It is created by a torsion-free component that offers at least approximately a constant level of resistance to deflection and wrinkling in all directions and, as a result of this property, is fundamentally differentiated from corrugated sheets (corrugated sheet), whose resistance is always only one Axis direction remains assigned.
On the accompanying drawing, an embodiment of the subject invention is illustrated. 1 shows the view, FIG. 2 shows a section through the plate-shaped strength body.
The strength body consists of essentially flat wall parts 1, which are provided with indentations 2 of the same depth at equal intervals. By putting together the wall parts in the plane of the apex surfaces of these indentations 3, they are mutually brought into congruence so that they can be firmly connected to one another at the contact points 4 by welding, riveting or the like.
The connection points created in this way anchor the wall parts and, due to their large number, cause an extraordinarily rigid connection between them. When stresses occur, no preferred direction can follow, but in all cases forms a more or less homogeneous stress field that is evenly divided by the symmetrical arrangement of the anchors.
The indentations can be covered on the outside of the plates with flat metal sheets 5 or similar materials. The cavities created in the interior of the plates can be closed by folding the edges 6 and, if the need exists for this, poured or filled with heat-insulating or other substances 7. When using heat-insulating the fillers, insulation panels can be produced which, in contrast to the existing ones, have a very high dimensional stability and also offer additional protection against thermal radiation when using polished sheets.
