Appareil de nettoyage et de séchage. Dans le domaine des appareils pour le lavage, on connaît des appareils comprenant en principe les éléments suivants: Un bassin contenant le liqriide détersif qui sera appelé bassin dans la suite; une canalisation ou tuyauterie appropriée servant à insuffler de l'air froid ou, de préférence, réchauffé, afin d'agiter le liquide; un organe ou élément servant à insuffler l'air à travers la tuyauterie, désigné ci-dessous sous le nom d.'organe d'insufflation et qui, en_pratique, sera souvent un ventilateur électrique;
A cet effet,
usieurs points (le la tuyauterie ou dans la. partie supérieure du bassin, particu lièrement entre celiii-ei et. son couvercle. La section de passage des ouvertures est de préfé rence réglable, par exemple au moyen d'uii volet. inséré dans la, tuyauterie ou ait mo;
Cleaning and drying device. In the field of washing apparatuses, apparatuses are known comprising in principle the following elements: A basin containing the detergent liquid which will be called a basin hereinafter; a suitable pipe or pipe for blowing in cold or, preferably, heated air in order to agitate the liquid; a member or element for blowing air through the piping, referred to below under the name of blowing member and which, in_practice, will often be an electric fan;
if the water is used hot, a member for heating the water, preferably provided with a pipe leading to the basin, this. heating element which can be suppressed when hot water is available, on the other hand.
The operation of known devices of this kind is as follows: the air blown into the detergent liquid boils through the liquid and causes the desired agitation, then escapes freely to the outside. This exit of the air to the outside has the following drawbacks: the blown hot air escapes while still hot and. thus causes great heat loss; in addition, the fact of carrying with it the odors of the material to be washed is a major drawback.
To obviate this. disadvantage, the present invention relates to a cleaning and drying apparatus, comprising a basin with a cover for the material to be treated, an organ, # air inlet and pipes connecting said air insufflator member and said basin, these members forming a waxed for mid air, # in motion.
The device. is characterized in that one of said pipes is arranged so as to. to be able to take up the air in the basin to return it, at least in part, to said air insuffieur member.
The drawing shows, by way of example, some embodiments of the apparatus forming the object of the present invention.
The end. 1 shows a layout diagram of various parts of the apparatus.
The fi-. \) is a perspective view of an embodiment of the apparatus.
Fig. 3 shows a variant of the embodiment according to FIG. 2.
The end. -1 shows another variant of the embodiment according to FIG. \ ?. The apparatus shown comprises a basin 1 (end. 1), provided with a bottom inclined towards a flow orifice 2, and a removable cover 3 which can. have a watertight seal; cold or heated air by a resistor 6 is blown into the basin by means of an electric fan 5 through a tube 4 having a perforated end part 15.
The air is. taken from the basin 1 still by means of the electric fan 5 through an opening I leading to a pipe 8 ending in the suction port of the fan; this pipe is provided with a bypass 9 which allows, by means of a shutter 10, to adjust the amount of air sucked in from the e_> terior. Above the basin 1 is disposed a tank 17. in which is stored and heated, by means of a resistance 12, the water or the detergent solution used for washing.
A perforated element 13, making it possible to sprinkle the material to be washed directly with the detergent liquid, consists either of a perforated tube (fig. 1 and 4), or of appropriate perforations in the walls of the basin (fig. \ 3 ). Such perforations can be provided with nozzles to facilitate the distribution of the detergent liquid on the objects at the. ZTn filter 14 is used for the purification and deodorisa.t.ion of the air.
Another possibility of realization which combines in itself several of these particular advantages is that visible at. fig. 2.
The basin 1 is provided with a hinged cover 3 fitted with a rubber seal 3a. The basin 1 contains the detergent liquid which is cold or which can be heated either in the basin itself or outside it. This liquid can be introduced into the basin by means of a perforated tube 13, so as to sprinkle directly on the objects by means of the detersive liquid.
Air, supplied by the electric fan 5 and possibly heated by the resistance 6, is. blown into the liquid by a tube of suitable shape, for example by a sy phon -la which prevents the defective liquid from reaching the ventilator from the bottom sin. The air enters the basin either through a groove 16 formed in the bottom of the basin (fig.?), Or through channels placed on the same bottom and provided with removable elements 15 which cover the grooves or the ca nals.
These removable elements have openings 17 through which the blown air passes (FIG. 4). The air released into the basin is. then taken up by the fan 5 by means of the pipe 8, exiting through the opening 7 made in the walls of the basin.
The device shown in FIG. \? is capable of producing a circulation of air in a closed circuit when the cover 3 is hermetically closed. It may however be desirable to allow a partial renewal of the circulating air, that is to say to let escape a part of the air which has boiled through the detergent liquid and to suck a quantity corresponding ambient air. For this purpose,
we practice in one or several unspecified points of the circuit. air t--.ne or several openings through which air can escape and be sucked in.
Since the circuit (Vair is made up of pipes and said volume of the basin between the surface of the liquid and the cover, the openings will be made in one or p:
several points (the piping or in the. upper part of the basin, particularly between it and. its cover. The passage section of the openings is preferably adjustable, for example by means of a shutter inserted in the , piping or have mo;
-in a member (for example 18) which allows the cover 3 to be opened more or less or part of it. With the particular shape of the air duct given in example in the drawing, a possibility is realized to separate the water from the air which is in the basin and that.
by means of the deflection which the air undergoes in the channel 8 forcing the liquid to fall into the bottom 8a and to flow through a pipe α in the form of a siphon communicating with the flow tube. '?, which allows automatic elimination by the flow of the detergent liquid collected in channel 8.
Fig. 3 shows a particular embodiment of the eireulatioii <the air which can be applied to a basin of any type, for example that of the fi. '? with <the appropriate modifications.
In the. embodiment shown in the fi-. 3, the air leaves the basin 1 through the opening ï, passes into the pipe 8 in which a deodorizing filter 14 can be placed, through the opening 9 provided with a shutter 10, and then arrives to the fan 5.
The air is then blown by the fan 5 through the reheating resistance 6 and re-pressed into the basin 1, as has been described for FIG. \ ?. In fig. 3, the opening () is adjustable by moz-en chi shutter 10 and is placed in the suction pipe.
It is obvious that, in this case, the quantity of air sucked in through the opening will have to be compensated by an equivalent quantity coming out at another point in the circuit. In order to balance the air inlet through opening 9, it may be sufficient for an equal quantity of air to escape through the key fittings in various parts (the appliance which would not have not been fitted with gaskets.
In this case, the air entering through the planned opening will be compensated by the losses (the fittings, which are tolerated for this purpose. This arrangement can in certain cases lead to a significant saving in the coilsti # tietion. If the losses relate to are not sufficient to compensate for the entry of air, or if they can be tolerated,
an air exhaust will be provided which can have any suitable shape, for example that shown in FIG. 3 where the exhaust is. realized in iyioven of a shutter 22, adapted to the cover 3, the opening of which can be adjustable by an appropriate device.
It can be seen that, in the case of FIG. 3, the suction opening and the exhaust opening are distinct, while, in FIG. 2, if the cover is left ajar, the gap between the cover and the basin serves at the same time as the suction opening and the discharge key.
In the embodiment shown in FIG. 1, the ornane 13 to sprinkle the colitenu of the basin 1 is connected by a tube 19 to a pipe 20 of cold water and a pipe 21 of eliaude water. The wall of the basin opposite the perforated tube 13 has an opening 21a. through which the pelvis. communicates with pipe 8.
The latter has daux openings 23 and 21 between ïesqitelles is disposed a flap 22 provided in its middle with an axis of rotation parallel to the longitudinal axis of the basin.
Said openings 23 and 21 and said shutter 22 as well as said pipe 8, are arranged in such a way that Lorsdiie said shutter 2? is horizontal, said pipe 8 opens to the outside through said opening 23 and that at the same time the basin communicates with the outside through said openings 2-1 and 2-1c. On the other hand, when said flap 22 is vertical, it closes said openings 23 and 24 and said pipe 8 is brought into communication with the basin through said opening 21a.
The horizontal position of the shutter 22 is. used for drying. The outside air is then sucked by the fan through the opening 23 and the pipe 8, and the humid air escapes into the basin through the openings 21 and 21n. To establish the closed air circuit, the shutter is rotated to its vertical position. It then obstructs the openings 23 and 21 and at the same time frees the passage between the basin 1 and the pipe 8 by]. The opening 21c1.
The embodiment according to FIG. 1 also contains a device capable of controlling the key washing operations program.
For this purpose it is. a 2: 5 speed reducer is provided, controlled by the fan pilot 5 by means of a belt 26, for example. The reducer 25 drives, by friction, an axis 27 which makes one complete revolution for a complete cycle of operations. The axis 27 can be driven by any mechanism transmitting to it a rotational movement at constant speed. On this axis 27 are mounted cams 28, 29, 30, 31, 32 and 33.
Cam 8 controls a cold water tap placed in line 20, cam 29 controls a hot water tap placed in line 21, while cam 30 controls a tap placed in flow 2 of the pelvis. The decay 31 controls the supply of the heating resistor 6 and the cam 32 causes the device to stop when the cycle of washing operations is finished. Finally, the cam 33 controls the shutter 22.
In addition, one could still place on the axis 27 other control cams, for example to control the introduction of an h: detergent product into the water.
A button 31 is used to start the device by hand and 35 is a button that allows you to stop the device at any time. the hand; this button 35 is. colinaity in series clans the circuit controlled by the cam 32. An operating button 36. mounted on the shaft 27, is used to turn the latter with the cams 28 to 3) 2) independently of the reduction gear 25. Behind the button 36 fitted an index is placed a dial (which is not shown) on which one can read in front of the index the various phases of the operating cycle of the vage.
In this way, it is possible to manually repeat any operation at any time.
The cycle of the washing operations comprises the following phases: 1. Rinsing: Cold water is introduced into basin 1 through tube 13. The flow 2 is totally or partially open. The air comes out; by the perforations 17 of the channel 15. After this rough rinsing, the water inlet is stopped and the flow is left open until the basin 1 is. empty.
2. Washing: With flow 2 closed, hot water is introduced through tube 13 up to a determined level. Air enters through channel 15. A detergent is added to the water in basin 1 and stirred for a while. After washing, we open flow 2 until the basin is empty. Resistor 6 remains engaged throughout this phase.
3. Rinsing with. cold water: Basin 1 is filled up to a certain level and the supplied air is allowed to act through channel 15 for a while; then the flow 2 is opened until the basin is empty.
4. Possible phase : The fan 5 and the resistance 6 being engaged, very hot water is introduced, leaving the flow 2 open to heat the material to be washed, in order to facilitate its drying.
5. Drying: Fan 5 and resistance 6 are on. The shutter 22 is open. The humid air leaves through the opening 24 and the outside air is drawn in through the opening 23, and this until. that the material has reached the desired hygrometric state. fia embodiment according to FIG. 4 can be fitted with a suitable heat exchanger allowing the use of the humid and warm air coming out. through opening 2-1 to reheat the fresh air entering through opening 23.
