Process for the production of sheet metal strips with pressed-in hollow ribs and equipment for carrying out this process. The present invention relates to a method 711111 making sheet metal strips which are provided with pressed-in hollow ribs running in the transverse direction of the strip with a profile narrowed at the base and can be used, for example, for the manufacture of roofs, abutment walls or for other purposes.
This method is characterized according to the invention in that the hollow ribs are initially followed in a first pressing process. The bottom is sunk on the inside and then, in a second work step, its base edges are brought closer to one another by exerting pressure on the bottom of the ribs.
The specific device for exercising this process is characterized by two press devices through which the bleehband to be formed is passed one after the other and of which the first has a die with a resilient, saddle-shaped core at its front end, which has a correspondingly ge shaped stamp is assigned.
In the following the invention with reference to the accompanying drawings, for example, he explains.
Fig. 1 shows schematically in cross section the first press of the device through which the bleehband to be deformed is guided.
2 shows in a similar way the second press of the device for carrying out a further operation on the preformed sheet metal strip, and FIG. 3 shows in a perspective view the application of on the device according to FIG. 1 / B> and 2 shaped bleehbands for making a roof.
As liervorgangs from the introductory discussions, it is a matter of making a sheet metal strip that has hollow ribs running in the transverse direction of the strip with a narrowed profile at the base. For this purpose, the sheet metal strip is guided successively through the presses shown schematically in FIGS. 1 and 2.
The first of these two presses (Fig. 1) has a die 1, in the die cavity of which a core 2 is guided, which looks against the action of a Druekleder 3 can be pressed into this die cavity. This core 2 is raised in the shape of a saddle-shaped at its front end in such a way that it has a wedge-shaped end face with an obtuse angle α.
On the sides of the die cavity, the die has two sloping side surfaces 5 and 6 which are used as a support for the bleehband 4 to be deformed and which have the same angle of inclination as the side surfaces of the core 2. A male mold 7 is assigned to the die 2, which has a die 7a that fits into the cavity of the die 1 with an end face corresponding to the core 2.
On both sides of this stamp 711, inclined printing surfaces are provided on the male mold 7 , corresponding to the support surfaces 5 and 6 . If the male die 7 between the die 1 and the die 1 the strip 4 is moved forward step-by-step by a mechanism not shown here, the punch 7a presses into the sheet metal strip 4 a hollow rib 12 with a U-shaped cross section,
The sheet metal strip itself assumes the shape indicated in dashed lines in FIG. 1, and the bottom of this U-profile corresponds to the shape of the end faces of the punch 7 a and the core 2 is sunk inwards.
After this first operation, the sheet metal strip preformed in this way is passed through the second press shown in FIG. This second press has a lower die 8 which is provided with a concave die surface 8a and with which the upper punch 9 with a correspondingly convex end face ga interacts. The sheet metal strip is brought under the punch 9 with the U-shaped hollow rib.
When this latter goes down, the bottom of the U-profile is shaped back by exerting pressure on the rib bottom. In this case, this base can either be straightened or slightly bulged outwards, depending on the extent of the lowering movement of the upper punch 9. A press with flat pressure surfaces on the punch and die could of course also be used to straighten the bottom of the U-profile.
In any case, due to the ruffling, shaping of the recessed bottom of the U-profile, the two legs of the latter are positioned at an angle to one another in such a way that the base edges 13 of the profile approach one another a little. At the same time, the non-deformed sections of the sheet metal strip are aligned so that they are again in one plane.
An application of the sheet metal strip formed in this way is illustrated in perspective in FIG. 3. It can be seen from this how the sheet metal strip provided with the pressed hollow ribs, by unrolling it, engages with support laths 10, z. B. a Daehes, provided anchoring parts 11, whose profile corresponds to that of the hollow ribs, who can bring the.
