Device for controlling the points of a route station for controlling rail traffic. 1.a present invention, due to the work of M. ("aille, relates to a device for controlling the needles of a route station used for controlling rail traffic, this device being characterized by the fact that in the circuit of Needle control is provided with a master relay with two windings, an excitation winding and a holding winding, for controlling the needle motor, this relay comprising, in addition to a contact placed in the power supply circuit. tion of the needle motor,
a contact placed in the supply circuit of the needle control relay and a contact placed in the circuit of a relay for checking that the needle position matches that of the relay which controls it.
The appended drawing represents, by way of example, two embodiments of the object of the invention. In this drawing, FIG. 1 is a diagram indicative of a layout of channels taken as an example.
Fig. \? is a diagram of a needle control circuit established in accordance with the invention, and FIG. 3 shows the modifications made to a part of the circuit according to fig. 2, in the case of a DC needle drive with protection against line mixing.
The circuits of fig. 2 and 3 are established for an implantation of tracks such as that shown in FIG. 1 and which comprises a main track 1 on which a certain number of secondary tracks 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 come raceorder, from needles Ag2 to 1g6, a main signal S "placed on track 1 at the entry of traffic to the left, an intermediate signal Si also placed on the lane for traffic heading to the left and signals S1 to S6 placed at the entrance to lanes 1 to 6 for traffic to the right.
On the diagrams of fig. 2 and 3, only one has been shown. needle control circuit, that corresponding to needle 1g6; it is obvious that there are similar circuits for the other needles 11g2 to Ag5.
The left part of the diagram represents the circuits of relay C, l.g.6 controlling switch 1g6 and is located at the route control station. This relay is of the toggle type and comprises two coils, one marked + for the control of the needle 1g6 towards the + position (or normal position), the other marked - for the control of the said needle towards the position - (or inverted position). This relay remains in its last commanded position whether there is current or not.
Said relay has three contacts, contact 7 on the supply circuit of a needle motor control relay R112.6, contact 8 on the needle motor control circuit l16 and contact 9 on the power supply circuit of a KCE.6 relay verifying that the position of the needle Ag6 matches the state of the relay CAg.6 which controls it.
The master relay RM.6 has two bearings marked a and b, the first of which, a, is energized under the following conditions: if the switching conditions are good, if the CAg.6 relay is not in the correct position .
The CAg.6 relay circuit has R.S1S, R.S2.S, R.S3.S, R.S4.S, R.S5.S and R.Si.S route relays which play analogous roles. gues for the control of the needle Ag6 towards the + position and the road relay R.S6.S which fulfills the same conditions for the control of the needle Ag6 in the - position. This circuit also includes contacts 10 and 11 of track relay RV.6 (whose circuit has not been shown), contacts 12 and 13 of transit relay Tr.6 (whose circuit has not been shown not plus), and a contact 14 of relay KCE.6, as well as a contact 15 of relay R11.6.
The right part of the electrical diagram shown in fig. 2 comprises, in addition to the relays R.11.6 and KCE.6 referred to above, the needle motor 176 with two field windings marked + and - respectively, one for controlling the needle towards the + position and the other for the control of the needle towards the - position, contacts 8 and 9 of relay CAg.6 also mentioned above, contacts 16 and 17 of the master relay RM. 6, the needle motor control rings 18 and 19 11'16 for the + and - positions respectively and the cut-off bars 20 and 21 of the motor at the end of the needle travel respectively towards the + and - positions of said needle.
A fuse 22, for example of 0.7 amperes, is arranged in series with the control circuit of the needle and is intended to blow in the event of bottom out of said needle. The 316 engine and its control and cut-off rings are located in the field at. on the right where the needle Ag6 is located, while the other elements of the right part of the diagram are, like the left part, placed at the route control station.
We will now describe how the circuits of the various aforementioned relays are established and how the control of the needle <Ag6 is carried out towards the. position +, or towards position -.
The route relays get energized when the route command is issued.
If the switching conditions are fulfilled (RV.6 track relay and Tr.6 transit relay energized), the excitation of one of the route relays prepares the CAg.6 relay to switch to the + position if the latter corresponds to the position - and vice versa.
The activation of relay RM.6 by the circuit which will be described later causes: the cutting of the control fuse 22, the establishment of the motor control circuit by the circuit which will be described below, the cutting of the control relay KCE.6 concordance which was energized by the circuit which will be described later, establishing the control circuit of the C .1g.6 relay which switches to the new position.
Note that the KCE.6 relay is delayed at. the fall and that winding. b which is connected in series to the supply circuit as the needle motor keeps the RITI.6 relay on until the motor reaches its limit.
The circuit of relay KCE.6 for the + position of the needle is as follows: terminal B, contact 8 on the terminal designated by + of relay C1g.6, ring 18 of the needle motor, coil of relay KCE.6 , rest contact 16 of relay RlL6, contact 9 of relay CAg.6 on the terminal marked +, motor limit switch 21 in position +, inducer - and armature of the motor, rest contact 17 of relay R111.6 , fuse 22 and terminal D. With the R.S6.S route relay energized (for the S6.S commanded route),
the excitation circuit of relay R.11.6 will be as follows: terminal A, work contact 11 of relay RV.6, work contact 13 of relay Tr.6, work contact 23 of relay R.S6.S, work contact 7 of relay CAg.6 in position +, coil a of relay R111.6 and terminal E.
The relay R12.6 being energized isolates, as we have seen, the fuse 22 by its rest contact 17, as well as the circuit of the relay KCE.6 by are, rest contact 7.6; relay KCE.6 therefore ceases to be energized.
The coil excitation circuit - of relay CAg.6 is as follows: terminal. Il, work contact 11 of relay RV.6, work contact 13 of transit relay Tr.6, work contact 23 of road relay R .S6.S, coil - of relay CAg.6, rest contact 14 of relay KCE.6, work contact 15 of relay R12.6, work contact 12 of relay Tr.6, work contact 10 of relay RV.6 and terminal C.
When the coil - of relay CAg.6 is energized, the motor control circuit in position - is established as follows: terminal B, contact 8 of relay CAg.6, in position -, contact ring 21 of motor 16, winding - of the inductor, armature of the motor, work contact 17 of relay RM.6, coil h of said relay and terminal D.
This arrangement keeps relay R11.6 energized throughout the motor maneuver, because the first excitation circuit was cut off by contact 7 of relay CAg.6 as soon as the latter moved to the - position. It should be noted that the relay R.116 is delayed at the drop so as not to cease to be energized during the transition period between the two coil supplies. In other words, the first circuit of the relay R1'1.6 is an excitation circuit and the series winding with the motor D16 is a holding circuit.
At the end of the stroke, the ring 21 of the motor 116 cuts the power supply to the motor and the coil b of the RJI.6 relay ceases to be energized; in addition, relay KCE.6 is energized again for the - position by the following circuit: terminal B, relay contact 8 ("Ag.6 in position -, motor contact 19 in position -, coil of relay K.CE6, rest contact 16 of relay R111.6, contact 9 in position -, motor limit switch 20, motor inducer +, motor armature, idle contact 17 of relay 1A1.6, fuse 22 and terminal D.
It should be noted that the control circuit is very resistant and that the current passing through this circuit can have no effect on the motor.
It should also be noted that when the needle is bottomed out, the pure motor limit switch neck ring 21 reestablishes contact, which closes the motor circuit and the fuse 22 blows.
In the variant shown in FIG. 3, the needle position is controlled by direct current via terminals B and D and the motor 316 is supplied with alternating current between phase P and neutral N. The neutral N </ I > and terminal B - are earthed.
This device requires the addition in the circuit, of another contact 24 of relay R111.6. The circuits operate in the same way as above. It suffices to insert the contact 17 in the working position on the return of the motor and the contact 24 in the rest position on the return of control.
The winding b of relay R111.6 in series on the motor is mounted across resistor 25 and the current is rectified at; using a valve 26.
The purpose of this arrangement is to protect against an x or y earthing and to fulfill the following condition: in case of earthing on the x or y wires, the control fuse 22 must blow either immediately. if one is not in polarity concordance, either after the operation of the needle if one is in concordance of polarity (since as soon as the needle has been moved, we will have reversed the polarity).
For example, in the event of earthing in y, the following circuit is established terminal D, fuse 22, contact at rest of RM.6, armature and inductor - of the motor i! 16 ,, ring 21 of the motor, grounded earth in; y and back to the direct current terminal B.
