Fig. 2 und 3) über den z.
Lutsch @ and Bei @ k¯rper.
The invention relates to a z. B. suckers and bites to be introduced into the mouth of an infant or child. According to the invention, it is characterized in that it consists of elastomeric material and is designed in such a way that it can rest against the inside of the mouth and is provided with a contact and sliding surface for the inner surfaces of the upper and lower jaw, the contact and sliding surfaces pass into bite surfaces, each of which is followed by a closing surface designed to rest against the lips.
Previous orthodontic devices are rejected by infants and small children because they are not suckers and therefore do not accommodate the instinctive tendency to suck. The previous pacifiers, on the other hand, are very welcome to most children, but have very detrimental consequences for the morphological development of the jaws.
such as the development of articulatory disorders with vertical deviations in the form of the covering and open bite due to the unsuitable nature of the pacifier surface. Occlusal disorders with significant sagittal anomalies such as prognathism and distal bite can also be the result because of the almost continuous use of the tendon bodies in their unphysiological finger-like shape. The increased instinctual desire to see the finger suck has even more serious consequences, since this vice is even more difficult to get rid of.
In contrast, the sucking and biting body designed according to the invention offers the advantage, due to its contact, sliding and auxiliary surfaces, that under certain circumstances the instinct for sucking is placed in the steerable kie ferorthopädiscben and the harmful sucking on the previous pacifiers and fingers entirely can be switched off.
An improvement of the device for enabling simultaneous lip shaping can advantageously be achieved in that the end surface designed to rest against the lips forms two hollow surfaces corresponding to the normal lip profile.
This particular type of embodiment has the advantage of seeing that the jaw is resting against the resting and sliding surfaces of the lollipop and, moreover, that the lips are kept in natural correlation. An adjustment option in the direction of the median plane can be provided by the fact that the sucking body, which is striped over a hollow body, can be adjusted to be shorter or longer, depending on the individual shape of the lips and jaws.
It is possible to form a mouthpiece, which resembles the jaw and lips, also as a milk sucker. It is then expediently provided in a known manner with an overstrip sleeve for the bottle neck. An advantageous feature of the milk teat is z. B. in that the contact surfaces for the jaws are completed in such a way that a hollow pouch is created which has a milk outlet, with a gap leading from the pouch to the slip-on spout for the passage of the milk is between the bite surfaces.
Exemplary embodiments of the subject matter of the invention are shown in the drawing. Show it :
Fig. 1 is a front view of a body designed as a sucker,
Fig. 2 is a vertical section along the line A-B of Fig. 1,
Fig. 3 is a plan view of the bag and a section along the line C-D of Fig. 2,
4 shows a section through the bite surface along the line E-F in FIGS. 2 and 3 and a rear view of the pouch,
5 shows a view of a hollow body, over which the overstretched part of the body serving as a pacifier can be passed,
Fig. 6 is a vertical section along the line G-II of Fig. 5,
Fig.
7 a pacifier with an inflatable pouch in vertical section,
FIG. 8 shows a plan view of the pacifier according to FIG. 7.
The device is wiped over lle 1 (see Fig. 2 and 3) over the z. B. ellipti rule, grooved neck 2 of the milk-filled bottle striped. If the baby is given the bag 3 filled with milk by holding the bottle at an angle with the milk outlet point 4, which is so small that the milk cannot easily run out, the lower jaw 5 and the upper jaw 6 slide, the beī and pressing act initiating, along the inclined position lmd sliding surfaces 7 and 8 until the Wieferkämme 9 and 10 are in the normal occlusion shown in FIG. 2, which is enforced by the shape of the contact and sliding surfaces 7 and 8.
The normal articulation is given by the bite surfaces 11 and 12 adjoining the abutment and sliding surfaces, and the correlation of the lips 13 and 14 is given by the shape of the concave lip abutment surfaces 15 and 16 adjoining the bite surfaces, through the position of the lip abutment surfaces to each other and by their position in relation to the sliding surfaces 7 and 8 and the bite surfaces 11 and 12.
By changing the degree of slip of the slip-on spout 1 over the bottle neck 2, the distance between the contact and sliding surfaces 7 and 8 and the front surfaces of the lip contact surfaces 15 and 1 6 also changes. This provides an adaptation for body-symmetrical differences. Once the correct setting has been determined for a particular child, it can be found again by means of an alarm on the bottle neck. In order to ensure this setting during the drinking process, a clamp 17 can be placed over the nozzle 1, which clamps the nozzle to the bottle neck in a known manner by means of a clamping screw 18.
The armor 17 can also wear a collar ring. The occlusion position shown in FIG. 2, the inevitable creation of which has already been described above, then leads to the act of biting and pressing, since during an attempt to suck out the pouch 3 the alveolar ridges 9 and 10 and the lips 13 and 14 firmly against the bite surfaces 11 and 12 and lip contact surfaces 15 and 16 are pressed and thereby the narrow gap 19, which represents the milk channel between the bottle part and the bag of the teat, is pressed shut. During the act of biting and pressing, the lower jaw 5 is moved back and the tongue 20 is moved forward.
As a result, the contact surface 7 for the lower jaw 5 and the contact surface 21 for the tongue 20 are moved towards one another, the space between the two is narrowed and the milk is thus pressed out of the pouch 3. During the act of swallowing that now follows, a vacuum is created in the moon, which, since the jaws open during this act and thus also the gap 19, allows the milk to enter the sachet 3. The two-phase drinking process shown corresponds in every detail to the natural breast act. An air inflow valve V is attached to the nipple in a known manner. The teat shown in the drawing can also be used as a pacifier itself.
Then he is with his tulle 1 on the also grooved elliptical surface 22 of the z. B. made of synthetic resin to slip over the hollow body 23 as required and can also be attached by the clamp 17. The ring 24 also serves as a grip for pulling the hollow body out of the socket 1. The device can also be kept clean very easily.
After it has been thoroughly cleaned on the outside, it is turned inside out so that its inner surfaces come close to the outside and are then also accessible for cleaning.
In addition, it should be noted that the adjustability of the distance between the device designed as a Lutsehkorper and as a milk teat can also be achieved in that the part serving as the lip contact surface is a special piece that extends over an extension of the part of the beī surface protruding from the mouth, the the spout 1 for the bottle neck 2 or the Sehnullerhohlkörper adjoins, slidable and in Ent. distance from the Lutsehkorper can be adjusted and determined.
So instead of shifting the spout 1 over the hollow body 23 and attaching it to it, the lip contact surfaces 15 and 16 forming a special piece are pushed along an extension of the bite surfaces 11 and 12 ver and attached to this.
A further embodiment is shown by FIGS. Compared to the previously described embodiments, the further developed device has the advantage that it can be adjusted more precisely, thereby enabling better adaptation to the individual jaw shape.
The small pouch 25 made of rubber is slipped with its attachment hose 26 over the flat part 27 of the air injection tube 28 with the mouthpiece 29 and check valve 30. As a result, the extension hose 26 expands and lies firmly against the slide 31 located above it, which has the contact surface 32 for the upper lip and the contact surface 33 for the lower lip. The bite surface is divided into three parts by the wedge incisions 34 and 35, namely the frontal part 36 and the two lateral parts 37 and 38. The nipple-like elevation is divided into two halves 40 and 41 by a vertical gap 39.
The bag 25 has a wall around the bite surface parts 37 and 38 around a ver swelling so that it can only expand to the sides without hindrance.
This is of great importance, since as a result a desired and precisely measurable lateral expansion acts on the jaw, whereby the jaw or the teeth retain their normal joint surface, as this can follow the lateral expansion without becoming thicker if this is desired.
The air injection tube 27, 28 shows, for. B. on Wlundstüek 29 the usual ring 42, which, as shown, can be rotated downwards, there. with you can comfortably with your mouth to the Mlmdstüek to inflate the bag. If the bag is inadvertently inflated too much, the closing flap 30 of the check valve is pressed inwards a little with a pin so that air can escape. It can also be the wart 40, 41 with an air injection valve. so that air can also be blown in from this side of the device.
The ring can also be attached to the slider, which prevents the parts from loosening when the ring is pulled.
If the device is designed as a milk teat, the slide 31 can merge into a threaded part so that it can be screwed over the thread of a milk bottle. Even with the device designed as a Milehsauger, the tube 27, 28 is advantageously pushed into the extension hose 26 so that the non-return valve comes into effect and the slide 31 can be locked.
With the device shown, continuous suctioning of the bottle is not possible, since the lips and jaws would exert a pressure on the valve-forming bite surface when attempting this suction, which would lead to the valve closure. The milk can only get into the pouch and mouth intermittently through the act of sucking and biting. Because with the Schluekakt, which is accompanied by a lowering of the lower jaw and a moving back of the tongue, the milk flows through the now open gap into the pouch, creating a vacuum in the mouth as a result of this and the closure of the nose and throat , into which the small pouch squeezed out during the act of biting expands.
These processes reconstruct the natural stile act and thus the formative stimulus for jaw growth.
In order to make the device even more similar to the mother's breast in terms of its effectiveness, the cavity of the pouch can be filled with an appropriately shaped, removable rubber sponge, depending on the constitution and chewing performance of the infant or toddler.
It is advantageous to make the contact and sliding surface 7 for the lower jaw somewhat stiffer than the rest of the wall of the device.
