Gie¯kanne.
Die Erfindung betrifft eine Gartengiesskanne jener bekannten Art, bei welcher der Tragbügel sich von der Vorderwand der Kanne bis wu deren Rüekwand in einem Bogen erstreekt, welcher vorzugsweise in der Ebene liegt, in welcher das Ausgussrohr und die Mittelachse der Kanne sich befinden, und bei welcher der Tragbügel als Sehlitzbügel ausgebildet ist, der aus einem Blechstreifen besteht, der unter der Freilassung eines LÏngsschlitzes zu einem Rohr aufgerollt ist.
Gemϯ der Erfindung ist der Tragbügel nicht wie gebräuchlich nach einem Kreisbogen gekrümmt, sondern nach einem Ovalbogen.
Sein flacher gekrümmter Teil ist über der obern Abcleckung und der Einf ll¯ffnung der Kanne angeordnet und sein stÏrker gekrümm- ter Teil an der Rückwand der Kanne befestigt.
Hierdurch werden mehrere praktische wiehtige Vorteile erreieht :
Der Tragbügel überragt die Kanne nicht mehr so weit wie bisher. Infolgedessen wird die Gesamthöhe der Kanne geringer, und es wird in den Lagern usw. an Aufstellplatz gespart.
Ferner befindet sich die Kanne beim Tragen hoher am Körper als bisher und st¯rt deshalb beim Sehreiten weniger als die bisherige Kanne. Weiter wird bei der Handhabung der Kanne der Übergang von der Tragstellung in die Gebrauchsstellung erleichtert. Die Hand des mit der Giesskanne Arbeitenden gleitet beim Neigen der Kanne leicht in den stÏrker gekrümmten Teil des Tragbügels und in dieser Stellung bleibt die Kanne und kann mühelos gehalten werden.
Endlich kommt die Kanne, wenn sie f r Niehtgebrauch aufgehängt wird, von selbst in diejenige Lage, bei der sie sich möglichst restlos entleert.
Ein Ausführungsbeispiel ist in der Zeich nung veranschaulicht.
Fig. 1 ist eine Seitenansieht der Kanne bei Nichtgebrauch.
Fig. 2 zeigt die Kanne in Giessstellung.
Fig. 3 ist ein Querschnitt durch den Bügel nach Linie AùB der Fig. 1.
Wie die Fig. 3 zeigt, ist der Bügel in be währter Weise aus einem aufgerollten Blechstreifen a gebildet und so gebogen, dass der offen bleibende Sehlitz b bei angebrachtem Bügel oben liegt und in der Längsrichtung dieses B gels verläuft.
Der Bügel ist nach einem Oval gekr mmt.
Der flach gekrümmte Teil ist ber der obern Abdeckung und der Einfülloffnung der Kanne angeordnet. Der stÏrker gekrümmte Teil ist an der Rüekwand der Kanne befestigt.
Die ovale Gestaltung dieses Schlitzrohr- bügels hat zur Folge, daR der beim Tragen der Kanne benutzte Teil des Bügels, der wenig gekrümmt ist, sich in der Stellung gemäss Fig. 1 über dem Schwerpunkt der Kanne befindet und die Kanne nur wenig überragt.
Wird die Kanne gemäss Fig. 2 zum Giessen geneigt, so gleitet die Hand des mit der Kanne Arbeitenden leicht in den stärker gekrümmten Teil, so dass am Bügel nicht nachgefasst werden muss. Da der Schwerpunkt der Wasser enthaltenden Kanne dann ungefähr unter diesem stärker gekrümmten Bügelteil liegt, ruht die Giesskanne während des Gebrauchs sicher in der Hand des Ben tzers.
Die neue Gestaltung bringt somit eine we sentliche Erleichterung der Handhabung der Kanne mit sieh.

The invention relates to a garden watering can of the known type in which the carrying handle extends from the front wall of the can to its back wall in an arc which preferably lies in the plane in which the pouring tube and the central axis of the can are located and in which the support bracket is designed as a seat bracket which consists of a sheet metal strip which is rolled up to form a tube, leaving a longitudinal slot free.
According to the invention, the support bracket is not curved, as is customary, according to an arc of a circle, but rather according to an oval arc.
Its flat curved part is arranged above the upper cover and the filling opening of the jug and its more strongly curved part is attached to the rear wall of the jug.
This has several practical and important advantages:
The carrying handle no longer protrudes over the jug as much as before. As a result, the overall height of the jug becomes smaller and space is saved in the warehouses, etc.
Furthermore, the jug is higher up on the body when it is carried than before and is therefore less annoying when you are looking at it than the previous jug. Furthermore, when handling the jug, the transition from the carrying position to the use position is facilitated. The hand of the person working with the watering can slides easily into the more curved part of the handle when the can is tilted and the can remains in this position and can be easily held.
Finally, when the jug is hung up for emergency use, it automatically comes into that position in which it empties as completely as possible.
An embodiment is illustrated in the drawing.
Figure 1 is a side view of the jug when not in use.
Fig. 2 shows the can in the pouring position.
FIG. 3 is a cross section through the bracket along line AùB in FIG. 1.
As FIG. 3 shows, the bracket is formed in a tried and tested manner from a rolled sheet metal strip a and bent so that the seat b which remains open is on top when the bracket is attached and runs in the longitudinal direction of this bracket.
The bracket is curved according to an oval.
The flat curved part is arranged over the top cover and the filling opening of the jug. The more curved part is attached to the back of the jug.
The oval design of this slotted tube bracket has the consequence that the part of the bracket used when carrying the jug, which is slightly curved, is in the position according to FIG.
If the can according to FIG. 2 is inclined for pouring, the hand of the person working with the can easily slides into the more strongly curved part, so that there is no need to grasp the handle. Since the center of gravity of the water-containing can then lies approximately under this more curved bracket part, the watering can rests securely in the user's hand during use.
The new design thus makes the handling of the jug much easier.
