Gasturbinenanlage.
Gas turbine plant. The invention relates to a gas turbine system in which the working fluid can be generated from solid, liquid or gaseous substances, such as gas, oil or coal, inside or outside the system.
The invention relates specifically to a gas turbine system in which there is a working turbine and at least one compressor that runs independently of this during normal operation.
In known devices of this type with a compressor which is driven by a turbine connected in series with the turbine z, the speed of the work turbine depends not only on the operating state of the compressor, but also on the size of the load, so that for one Given the operating state of the compressor, the speed of the power turbine increases when the load on the output shaft decreases.
If the load ceases completely, as can happen with vehicle drives at Crangweehsel, the power turbine could, for example, accelerate to twice the normal working speed. Under normal circumstances, this speed would be sufficient to cause the turbine wheel to burst as a result of the excessive mechanical stresses.
There are various methods of controlling the speed of the power turbine, for example by means of hydraulic means or by permanently coupling one of the compressor stages to the power turbine. However, in those cases where the power turbine is working close to the maximum permissible speed ar, and in those cases where the load on the power turbine can suddenly disappear, it is necessary to safely control the speed of the power turbine.
According to the present invention, a clutch is arranged between the power turbine and the compressor in such a way that the compressor can act as a brake when the clutch is switched on to limit the speed of the power turbine.
This clutch works preferably fully automatically.
One advantage of the invention is that the compressor can be used as a brake and can absorb external energy via the power turbine. It is advisable to reduce the energy supply to the turbine when the clutch is engaged, e.g. B. by changing the setting of a valve that regulates the energy supply. It is advantageous to provide automatic control of the energy supply to the turbine in order to prevent the power turbine coupled to the compressor from burning out under the influence of excessive external energy.
In the drawing, an exemplary embodiment from the subject of the invention is shown schematically.
A compressor a is coupled via a shaft b to a compressor turbine c, the power of which is only used to drive the compressor a. After leaving the compressor turbine c, the working gas is passed through the working turbine d, where it gives off a further part of its energy. The power turbine is connected to a power shaft g via a shaft c and the gearbox f, which has a clutch h to which the shaft i is connected, which drives, for example, the wheels of a vehicle on which the gas turbine system is mounted.
When the load on the shaft i is reduced or when the clutch hc is disengaged, the turbine d is accelerated. When the speed of the power turbine d increases in a certain ratio to the speed of the compressor group a, c, the clutch j, k is engaged. The coupling is constructed in such a way that one half j sits on the output shaft g, while the other half of the coupling is mounted coaxially to the first half j, but can move freely, so that it can normally run freely from the first part j and thus free from the working shaft g. The part k of the hitch ment is mechanically connected to the shaft b of the compressor group a, c, via a gear l, the intermediate shaft m and other gears n and o.
The clutch j, k can be a commercially available one-way clutch, in which the two halves are then engaged and form a solid whole when part, j begins to rotate faster than part k.
The function of the unit is as follows: Under normal load conditions, the clutch j, k is not switched on, and the speeds of the various shafts can be the following, for example with the number of revolutions N per minute of the power turbine shaft e: For the working shaft g = 2/25 N 'revolutions per minute, for the compressor turbine shaft b = 8/5 N revolutions per minute and for the intermediate shaft mn = N / 2 revolutions per minute, the gears being dimensioned accordingly to give these numbers. With this arrangement, the load conditions should be such that if the speed of the working shaft drops, this has no influence on the clutch j, k .
If you see the loading ratios of the working shaft g but change such that the speed of this shaft exceeds N, the clutch j, k is applied and the compressor acts as a brake, whereby the speed of the working shaft g and the power turbine e to 2/5 N or N is reduced. If the speed of the working shaft falls below 2/5 N, the overrunning clutch j, k is out of action and the Ar beitsturbine d again runs independently of the compressor-turbine unit a, b, c.
Instead of a mechanical freewheel clutch, a hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical or magnetic clutch could be provided.
In the case of a hydraulic clutch, part j is in principle replaced by a pump wheel and part k by a turbine wheel of such a clutch. The switching on and off of the hydraulic clutch he then follows in a known manner by regulating the amount of fluid in the clutch.
A pneumatic clutch is understood here to mean a mechanical clutch that can be engaged and disengaged pneumatically.
In the embodiment with an elec tric clutch, for. B. the eddy current effect can be exploited, while with a magnetic coupling z. B. a multi-disc clutch is engaged and disengaged by means of magnetic force.
