Fig.13 ist eine Draufisieht auf, diese Klinke.
Shifting device for bicycle transmission. The invention relates to a switching device for bicycle change gear.
Such switching devices of known type have a ratchet mechanism in which a hinged shift lever with a. him cooperating spring-loaded switching pawl operated, which normally engages in the recess from a fixed circuit board.
The arrangement is then made in such a way that a movement made as a result of a pressure exerted on the shift lever in one direction, counter to the action of a spring-loaded cable, causes a gear ratio change and causes the pawl to run over and to engage in another recess when the lever is released, while a pressure exerted on the lever in the opposite direction under the We effect of a spring-loaded cable pulls the pawl against the action of its spring from the recess and brings it into engagement with the adjacent recess.
In these known constructions, only a single pawl is used together with recesses for gradual switching in one direction or the other of the switching lever, so that there is a possibility that the pawl does not properly engage with the adjacent recess.
If, therefore, in a bicycle change gearbox, the gearbox is adjusted in one direction by a spring which is compressed by an adjustment of the gearbox in the other direction, there is the possibility that the spring will skip a shift position of the shifting device caused.
It is an object of the invention to provide an improved switching device in which the probability of skipping a switching position is reduced due to the aforementioned circumstances.
According to the invention, the switching device has recesses comprising the fixed main body, a pawl plate rotatably mounted on the main body under the action of a torque, a main pawl pressed by a spring against the recesses, and one from the recesses by a spring pushed-away side latch, the whole thing
that when pressure is exerted on a shaft lever in the direction opposite to the torque, only the main pawl is in engagement with the recesses, while with the other direction of action of pressure on the lever, the secondary pawl while the main pawl is being withdrawn from its recess , is brought into engagement with an adjacent recess, whereby further movement of the pawl plate is prevented by the pressure exerted on the lever,
whereas when the pressure is released, the beginning of the return .der secondary pawl out of its recess results in a limited pivoting of the pawl plate under the influence of the torque, where the main pawl comes to lie opposite the next recess in terms of torque and comes into engagement with this recess when the pawl plate is pivoted further,
which results in a translation change.
In the figures of the drawing, two exemplary embodiments of the subject matter of the invention are shown in use for a bicycle three-speed gearbox.

FIG. 6 is a section along the line V -V in FIG. 5.
Fig. 7 is a plan view similar to Fig. 5, the device being shown in one of its working positions.
FIG. 8 is a further plan view of the device shown in FIG. 5 in a different working position.
Figure 9 is a side view of the body or housing of the device shown in Figure 5.
FIG. 10 is the plan view of the latch plate as shown in FIG.
FIG. 11 is a section along the line VI = VI in FIG. 10.
FIG. 12 is a side view of a pawl of the device shown in FIG. Fig. 13 is a top view of this latch. According to FIGS. 1 to 4, the switching device consists of a main body or Ge housing 1 which can be fastened to the handlebar of a driving wheel by means of the pipe clamp 3 present on the housing.
The housing be seated a pivot 5 and a projection 7, which forms a tangential guide and a stop for the outer casing 8 of a flexible control cable 9. On the inside of a flange protruding from the periphery of the housing 1 is. a plurality of teeth or recesses 11 are formed, and inside the housing 1, on the pivot 5, a pawl plate 13 in the form of a disc is mounted. The periphery of the disc 13 is grooved to receive the flexible transmission cable 9.
The end of the cable 9 is fastened in the vicinity of the periphery by known means, for example by means of a roller 15 seated in a corresponding recess in the pawl plate.
On the top of the pawl plate at its periphery diametrically opposed lugs or projections 16, 18 are formed, the purpose of which will be explained later, and on the top of the plate two grooves 19 are cut in which a pair of sliding and spring-loaded pawls 21, 22 to run. The grooves have closed ends and are so inclined to one another that the ends 25 of the pawls each correspond to one of two adjacent recesses.
As can be seen from FIGS. 3 and 4, the elements 21, 23 represent a main pawl and a secondary pawl and be made up of rods or pistons of essentially square cross-section, which are slidably seated in the grooves 19, and on Each piston has upwardly extending projections 27, 27a, the extension 27 of the pawl 21 next to the extension 16 and the extension 27a of the pawl 23 next to the extension 18 of the pawl plate 13.
On the opposite side of each pawl there is a further extension 28 which forms a stop for a helical spring 29 which is arranged in an opening of the pawl plate. and is flush with the grooves. The ends of the grooves 19 form stops for the lugs 28 and the other end of the spring 29, the arrangement being such that the main pawl 21 is spring-loaded axially in the direction towards one of the recesses 11 and the secondary pawl 23 in the direction of the water is.
On the pin 5 and next to the rotatable pawl plate 13, a switching lever 33 is arranged with a pusher 35 which strikes the projections 16, 18 of the pawl plate 13 and lugs 27, 27a of the pawls 21, 23. This lever has two cutouts in the shape of a segment of a circle, the tendons of which delimit a web 36 which extends diametrically over the pivot 5.
The projections 7.6, 18 of the latch plate 13 are each arranged in a corner of the cut-away part, and when the lever 33 is moved in one direction, the web 36 causes a rotary movement of the plate 13 and at the same time a longitudinal movement of the lugs 16, 18 a handle.
The pawl plate 13 and the shift lever 33 are protected by a cover (not shown), and in order to ensure good fastening of the shifting device to the handlebar of the bicycle, the housing has a circular flange 17 on the underside that widens conically downwards , behind which a corresponding bevel engages at each end of a U-shaped pipe clamp that gives the handlebar to; the ends of the clamps are clamped to the said flange by means of a vision hood and nut.
The operation of the device described above is as follows: If by means of the pusher 35, against the pull of the cable 9, which is exercised by a spring connected to the change gear, the shift lever 33 is rotated clockwise to make a gear change , the spring-loaded main pawl 21 of the pawl plate 13 is guided over the inclined surface of a recess 11 and thereby withdrawn against its spring 29 as a result of the web 36 striking the projection 16,
until the edge of the adjacent recess is reached and the pawl snaps forward into this recess. To reach the next translation position.
With this movement of the shift lever 33 right, the secondary pawl 23 is not influenced by the web 36 and remains out of engagement with the recesses 11, because the action of its spring pushes it away from the recesses, i.e. in a direction opposite to the main pawl Direction, which is why a striking of the web 36 on the projection 27a on the pawl 23 mentioned has no effect.
When the switching lever 33 is moved in the counter-clockwise direction, the impact of the web 36 on the projection 27 of the secondary pawl 23 causes it, against the action of its spring 29, to engage with one of the recesses 11, while the main pawl 21 , which is in engagement with the adjacent Ausnehinnunng, is withdrawn at the same time due to the impact of the web 36 on the approach 27a against the action of their spring.
This joint action takes place in such a way that the secondary pawl 23 is advanced towards a recess with a slight advance in relation to the retracting main pawl 21, in such a way that when the secondary pawl has fully penetrated the recess, the main pawl completely retains the recess has left.
Thanks to the blocking of the plate 13 by the secondary pawl 23, it is impossible for the peeling mechanism to give in to the pressure and snap over into the next gear position in the clockwise direction. Only when the pressure is released from the lever 35, the vine pawl 23 is automatically withdrawn by its spring 29, and the shape of the engaging end 25 of the pawl 23 in relation to the recess 11 is such,
that the initial return movement of the pawl 23 allows a slight pivoting of the pawl plate 13 under the influence of the spring-loaded cable 9, whereby the engaging end of the main pawl 21 comes to rest on the inclined surface in the counterclockwise direction next recess,
so that when the secondary pawl 23 is fully withdrawn, the pawl plate 13 is pivoted even further by the spring-loaded cable 9 in order to bring the main pawl into full engagement with the next recess, thereby switching back the transmission.
In the arrangement shown in FIGS. 5 to 13, which was designed with a view to a simplified method of manufacture, the housing 1 can be attached to the handlebar of a bicycle by means of the pipe clamp 3. The housing contains a pivot pin 5 and a part 7 which forms a guide for the flexible transmission cable 9 and a stop for the shell.
The housing 1 is made as a press piece; it be sitting a base with a rounded edge and protruding from this a flange bil Dende, vertical wall in which teeth or recesses 11 are attached.
As can be seen in Fig. 9, some teeth are slightly lower to create a section for the movement of the shift lever 33, with one end of the section forming a stop 12 for the shift lever when this counterclockwise on the cable 9 acting spring tension or the torque generated thereby is moved.
The ratchet plate 13 in the form of a disk is formed by two pressing pieces 13a, 13b, which are fastened to one another and rotatable in the housing on the pin 5. The periphery of the plate 13 has a groove for receiving the cable 9, the end of which is attached to the plate by known means next to the edge, such as by means of a roller 15 which sits in a corresponding recess 15a in the latch plate.
The upper disk 13a has a slot 17 in one of the two grooves 19 which are oblique with respect to one another. When the two parts 13a, 13b are fastened to one another, they form guides in which the main and secondary pawls 21, 23 run. As can be seen in FIGS. 12 and 13. the pawl 21 has the shape of a rod. The pawls 21 and 23 are identical to one another and have lugs 25 that have been sawn off.
At the rear of the main pawl 21 there is an upwardly directed pin 27, and the sub-pawl 23 has a similar pin 27a. The pin 27 of the pawl 21 sits in the slot 17 of the Klin kenplatte 13a, while the pins of both link s engage in slots of the shift lever.
The main pawl 21 is spring-loaded in the direction against the recesses 11 by means of a helical compression spring 29 which is arranged between the closed end of the channel and the pin of the pawl. The secondary pawl 23 is spring-loaded in the direction of the recesses 11 away by means of a torsion spring 31 which is mounted on the pivot 5 in the housing 1, one end of the torsion spring on the pawl pin 27a and the other end on the side of the one Groove 19 rests.
The shift lever 33 has a semicircular body with a protruding handle 35. The body has a circular hole with means of which it is rotatably mounted on the pin 5 of the device, and a short distance next to the hole there is a curved slot 37, in which, the pin 27 of the main pawl moves. Approximately dia metrally opposite the slot 37 is a small hole 39 which is slightly extended in the radial direction from the pivot 5 away. The pin 27a of the secondary pawl 23 sits in this hole.
The upper and lower disks 13a and 13b, which form the pawl plate, can be detached from each other to permit replacement or repair of the pawls and associated parts. For this purpose, the disks are attached to one another by means of tongues 41 which are present on the lower plate 13b and are bent over the upper plate 13a or vice versa. On the lower or upper plate existing and bent tongues are used to close the corre sponding ends of the grooves containing the pawls.
The organs of the switching device are protected by a cover 43 which is fastened by means of a screw 45 which is screwed into a threaded hole provided in the pivot 5.
The device works largely like the device described earlier, that is, if the shift lever 33 (see Fig. 8) against the action of the spring of the hub transmission, which exerts its effect on the flexible cable 9, .das in turn a torque the plate 13 is rotated clockwise, the pawl plate 13 is rotated about the pin 5 as a result of the pin seat arrangement 27, 39 between the switching lever and the secondary pawl 23.
During this rotation of the plate 13, the inclined surface at the tip 25 of the main pawl 21 comes into contact with the edge of the recess in which it lies and is pushed back against the action of the spring 29, which push back also when the plate 13 continues to rotate continues until the next recess it is enough, where the pawl 21 snaps into the recess under the action of the spring 29, so that the next translation stage is switched on. During this Be movement of the plate 13, the secondary pawl 23 is held by the spring 31 out of engagement with the recesses.
When the shift lever 33 is rotated in the opposite direction, i.e. in the counterclockwise direction (see Fig. 7), that is, in terms of the torque which the spring (les hub transmission gear acts on the plate 13 via the transmission cable 9, the secondary pawl 23 As a result of the pin seat connection between her and the shift lever, against the action of the Fe of 31 with a recess 11 engaged.
The movement of the secondary pawl 23 rushes before the main pawl is withdrawn from the recess, thanks to the free movement possible in the slot 37 before the pin 27 is touched by the switching lever 33. Further pressure on the shift lever does not cause any further movement, since this only presses the secondary pawl 23 more strongly into the recess. The release of the pressure on the shift lever allows the secondary pawl 23 to spring back out of the recess as a result of the action of the spring 31, after which a slight rotation of the pawl plate 13 by the spring-loaded cable 9 takes place.
This brings the end of the retracted main pawl 21 into a position in which it abuts the wall of the housing 1 between the recesses, so that when the secondary pawl 23 is withdrawn, the pawl plate and the switching lever continue to rotate due to the action of the spring-loaded cable Main pawl 21 in a handle with the next recess in terms of torque to bring what. results in a change in translation.
