Behälter und Leitungen weisen eine nicht gezeichnete gute Wärmeisolierung auf. Der oder die Motoren, welche den Kom pressor 6 antreiben, sind vollständig uni Dampfraum angeordnet;
Device for drying materials by means of superheated steam.- The present invention relates to a device for drying materials by means of superheated steam, which has a closed circulation system with a container for the material to be dried, and also a scraper for separating the from being rolled Vapor entrained liquid,
a circulating device for the steam and a pipe for discharging excess steam developed during the drying process.
When it comes to drying yarns and fabrics, tubular, perforated supports are expediently arranged in the container in such a way that circulated steam on the supports penetrates the material to be dried from the outside inwards - and through the hollow interior of the supports can escape open end.
In the container, a perforated carrier for the dry goods can also be arranged in such a way that circulated steam can flow through the material to be dried in a horizontal layer on the carrier from top to bottom.
In order to be able to dry loose fiber material such as wall, cellulose, cellulose or other textile fibers with the device according to the invention, the carrier intended for the material to be dried can be a double-walled cylinder,
whose inner space is closed at one end and whose walls are perforated, and which is inserted into the Behäl ter in such a way that circulating steam circulates in the direction from the outside to the inside through the cavity formed between the cylinder walls and used to accommodate the material to be dried can. Also granular material,
in particular grain, chemical products, gravel and the like can be dried by means of such a device.
The subject matter of the invention will be explained, for example, more closely using the accompanying drawing. 1 shows schematically a first exemplary embodiment. partly in an axial section through the container and FIG. 2 shows a variant, e.g. B. according to FIG. 1. According to the drawing, a container 1 for the material to be dried is arranged on a stand 2.
The container 1 is connected by the line 3 to the separator 4, which has a liquid outlet 5, the compressor 6 and the line 7 to form a closed circulation system. From the line 7 branches off a line 8 with a valve 9, which is used to discharge the excess steam developed during the drying process from the system.
In order to enable the supply of steam, nitrogen or other suitable media to displace the air which is contained in the system at the start of operation, a line 10 connected to line 3 with a valve 11 is provided.
Containers and lines have good thermal insulation (not shown). The motor or motors that drive the compressor 6 are arranged entirely in a steam space;
they are only cooled by the rapidly circulating steam. In this way, the overheating of the steam necessary for drying takes place due to the waste heat from the compressor 6 on the one hand and the motor driving it on the other. Also the electrical and frictional losses
used to heat the drying steam, which results in a high degree of effectiveness with the device. and high economic efficiency can be achieved.
With this device, the following advantages can be achieved compared to known devices: 1. The drying time can under certain circumstances be reduced to half of the previously required.
2. As a result of the fact mentioned under point 1, the number of drying units can be reduced to less than half under certain circumstances.
3. The usual heating elements with heating of the desiccant become superfluous.
4. The separation of the liquid expelled from the goods at the start of operation takes place at the same time as the drying process itself, so that no centrifugation, suction or the like is required before drying begins.
According to Fig. 1. 12 denotes a double-walled cylinder whose outer jacket 13 and inner jacket 14 are perforated and which is inserted into the container 1 in such a way that its lower conical part 15 protrudes tightly into the correspondingly designed tube 3.
The cylinder 12 is provided with a cover 16 which in its center has an upwardly projecting, sleeve-shaped part which in turn carries a ring 17 at its upper end. In the upper part of the inner cylinder wall 14, a disk 18 firmly connected to this wall is attached, which has an extension 19 provided with an external thread.
Above the ring 17 a wing nut 20, 21 is screwed onto the external thread of the extension 19 Ver, which has the task of pressing the lid down. The material to be dried lies in the space between the outer and inner casing 13 and 14 of the cylinder. The centering of the outer shell 13 with respect to the container wall is carried out by spacer rings 22.
The drying steam circulated in the system passes (indicated by arrows) through the guide ring 7 into the annular space between the container wall and the outer jacket 13 and flows through the perforations in the jacket 13 and through the material to be dried, as well as the perforations of the inside 3Iantels 14 in the space enclosed by this jacket,
from which the steam passes through line 3 to the compressor.
A variant of the device described NEN is shown in Fig. 2, in which 23 is a central tube which is provided at its upper and internal end with a hollow annular holding member 24 and 25, the cavities are connected to each other by the tube 23 .
The lower holding member 25 is provided with a conical, tubular extension 26 which protrudes tightly into the correspondingly designed end of the tube 3. A plurality of tubular supports 27 communicating with the cavities of the holding organs are inserted between the holding organs 24, 25, only one of which is shown.
On each of the perforated carriers 27: a number of yarn bobbins 28 are applied, which are held at a small distance from one another by spacers 29, which also act as sealing rings.
The steam flowing through the pipe 7 into the container 1 penetrates the individual coils 28 from the outside to the inside and passes through the perforations of the carrier 27 into the interior of these carriers and from there via the holding elements 24 and 25 into the pipe 3.
