Equipment on metal planing machines for automatic lifting of the tool from the workpiece during the idle stroke. The present invention relates to a device on metal planing machines, 7.B. Shaping machines for automatically lifting the tool off the workpiece during the idle stroke. an electric magnet with an iron core and controlled by an electric switch actuated by the lifting movements of the working machine part.
The subject matter of the invention is shown in an exemplary embodiment on attached gender drawings. It shows: Fig. 1 a planing machine provided with the device during idle stroke, in Seitenan view, Fig. 2 the on and off switch actuated by the lifting movements of the planer carriage in side elevation, Fig. 3 is a plan view of the switch and Fig. 4 the Switches partly in front view, partly in section.
1 is the machine stand of a shaping planer, 2 is the planing slide and 3 is the tool support slide. On the clamping table 4, the workpiece to be machined 5 is clamped. The tool holder 6, which carries a part 8 pivotable about a horizontal axis 7, sits on the support slide 3.
The tool 9 is clamped on the latter. In the extension of the pivot part 8 runs. upwards an angle arm, against the free end of which the armature 11 of the electromagnet 12, which has a coil with an iron core in a manner not shown, presses when it is attracted during the idle return of the planer carriage 2, as shown, so that the Part 8 is swiveled out and the tool is lifted off the workpiece 5.
To control this electromagnet 12 and thus the tool 9 is used on the planer carriage in a manner not shown iso liert fixed switch rod 13. This penetrates a housing hood 14 of an electric switch 15 sitting on the machine frame 1 for switching the magnetic circuit on and off (Fig. 2). The switching rod 7.3 moved back and forth by the lifting movements of the planer slide is supported on a Stromabneh merrolle 16 of the switch and is guided in the groove 17 thereof. This current collector roller 16 rests loosely on an axle 18 of a plate 19. The former is superordinate to a pressure roller 20 which is mounted at one end of a horizontal axle 21.
On the other hand, a compression spring 22 presses upwards against this axis 21, so that the pressure roller 20 constantly presses the switching rod 13, which is movable to and fro between the rollers 16, 20, against the current collector roller 16. A disk 23 is pressed against the current collector roller 16 in the ledge of a slip clutch. It is stored on a bearing bush 24 which is held in a bracket 25.
The latter and the circuit board 19 are supported on an insulating plate 26 of the base 27 of the switch. In the bearing sleeve 24 sits a screw 28 against which a helical spring 29 rests at one end, while at the other end it presses against a pressure bolt 30 which presses against the disk 23. With. With the help of the screw 28, the pressure of the disk 23 on the current collector roller 16 can be adjusted.
On opposite sides of the circumference of the disk 23 is a contact holder arm 31, in which a contact 32 is arranged on a support bolt against a helical spring 37 so as to be axially displaceable to the bolt and is connected directly to the disk 23 via an electrical conductor 33 or a stop 34 , which can be supported against the insulating plate 26. 35 is a lower mating contact on the insulating plate 26, which is electrically connected to a terminal 36.
The electrical circuit leads from one connection terminal to the power source or a transformer in box 39 via the machine ground to the electromagnet 12, and is isolated from this! through cable 38, switch rod 13, current collector roller 16, disk 23 via the contacts 32, 35 and cable 40 to the other connection terminal.
The operation of the described device is as follows: When the planing slide 2 has switched from work to Leerherb. Be moves with it the switching rod 13 axially backwards through the switch 15 and moves the current collector roller 16 and thus the disc 23 to the left, the latter only so long until the contacts 31 and 35 meet one another and thereby close the electrical circuit via the electromagnet by the switching rod 13 as a current bridge from the switched in the circuit disk 23 and current collector roller 16 to the elec tromagnets 12 leading to the switching rod 13 connected cable 38 acts.
The magnet armature 11 is attracted, so it presses against the angle lever 10. The part 8 holding the tool 9 swings into the position shown in FIG. 1 and lifts the tool 9 from the workpiece 5 during the idle stroke. Once the planing slide has finished its idle stroke, it is reversed back into the working stroke, with the switching rod 13 being moved axially forward through the switch 15 during the advance movement of the slide and the current collector roller 16 being rotated clockwise, taking the disk with it 23. The circuit of the electromagnet 12 is interrupted, the armature 1.1 released.
The part 8 with the tool falls back into the working position due to its own weight. The transformer, from which the cable 40 leads to the switch 1.5, is expediently arranged in the power connection box 39.
