Sieherheitsschlo & .
Fig. 3 ist ein Schnitt nach der Linie 111-11I der Fig. 2.
Fig. 5 ist ein Querschnitt durch das Schloss.
Will man z.
Security lock &. The subject matter of the present invention is a safety lock with an adjustable key which has several mutually adjustable cams for interaction with the lock locking devices.
The safety lock according to the invention is characterized by means which temporarily increase the axial play of at least parts of the tumblers. allow for the purpose of being able to change the combination of tumblers according to the new mutual position of the cams of the key by turning the newly set key during the best of this larger axial play.
The accompanying drawing shows, for example, an embodiment of the subject matter of the invention.
Fig. 1 is a side view of the key with the shaft cut in the axial direction. Fig. \ 'Represents part of the key shaft in axial section, with. the rings carrying the cams in the axial position necessary for their rotation.
FIG. 3 is a section on line III-III of FIG.
Fig.1 is an axial section through the lock, in which the tumblers are shown cut only in their upper half.
Fig. 5 is a cross section through the lock. Fig. 6 is a front view of a behind a cover plate of the lock angeord Neten, stationary disc.
Fig. 7 shows an intermediate layer, and Fig. 8 illustrates the relationship between the closing member of the lock and the attitudes to.
The shaft 1 of the key? has teeth 3 running in its longitudinal direction, which are divided by annular grooves 4. Five rings 5, each of which carries a cam 6, are placed on this shaft. At one end these rings have an inwardly directed ring gear 7, in the gaps of which the teeth 3 of the shaft 1 enter when the key is set. The rings 5 are held in the axial direction by a nut 8 which is screwed onto the free end of the shaft 1. When the key is set,. the rings 5 are firmly coupled to the shaft 1. At the end of this nut 8, the shaft carries a scale 9 divided from 0 to 9.
If one now wants to change the mutual position of the cams 6, the nut 8 is loosened so far that, by axially displacing the rings 5, their gear rims 7 can be brought into the area of the grooves 1 of the shaft 1, in which position the rings 5 can twist (Fig. 2). Do you want z. B. enter the combination 03115 readable on the scale with the key, then twist the ring 5 closest to the scale 9 until its cam comes to the level of the graduation 0 of the scale 9; then you push it back onto the associated teeth of the shaft.
The procedure for the next ring 5 is similar until its cam is aligned with the graduation 3 of the scale 9. The next rings are rotated until their cams are in line with the scale marks 4 or 1 or 5. Then you tighten the nut 8, whereby the rings 5 are blocked in their new position. The key is set. You can see that this is easily possible, including without special tools. The nut 8 can be loosened and tightened very easily with a coin.
The cylindrical housing 10 of the lock shown in FIGS. 4 and 5 contains a total of five tumblers, corresponding to the five rings 5 of the key described above. Each of these tumblers consists of two parts, namely an outer disc 14 and an inner ring 11, which has a cam 12 on its inner surface, which is intended to work with the cam 6 of the corresponding ring 5 of the key.
With each tumbler, the outer disk 14 is coupled to this inner ring by a toothed coupling 13. The disc 14 has, as shown in particular FIGS. 5 and 8, a cutout 15 in which the actuating lever 16 engages for the closing member 17 under the action of the spring 31 of the lock. This Be actuating member 16, which is pressed under the influence of the spring 31 against the discs 14 of all Licher tumblers, can only enter the cutouts 15 if the latter are all in the same line.
Only then is the position of the closing member 17 as shown in FIG. 8 possible, so only then can the lock be opened. The tumblers, which are all rotatably arranged in the housing 10, who pressed against one another by a spring 18. This spring is supported with its one end against the disc 14 of the outermost right tumbler and with its other end against a disc 19, which, as FIG. 6 shows, evenly distributed over the circumference has Innenvor jumps 20 that the introduction of the key sels to facilitate in the central opening 21 of the lock.
The disk 19 has a tab 30 which engages in a groove 29 of the housing 1.0. The ring 11 of the leftmost tumbler is centered by a recess 22 in the housing 10, while the discs 14 of all tumblers along their circumference through the inside 23 of the housing 10 with. Sliding seat are performed. The front end of the lock is formed by the disc 24. As FIG. 4 shows, a ver adjustable member in the form of a screw 25 is inserted radially into the housing 10.
This screw prevents in the position shown in Fig. 4, the discs 14 of the Zuhaltimgen from an axial displacement Ver. If, on the other hand, this screw 25 is turned out a little, these disks 14 can be axially displaced in that their play between the outermost left ring 11 and the screw 25 is now increased.
While in the mutual position of the rings 11 and disks 14 shown in FIG. 4, the toothed coupling 13 entrains the disks 14 when the rings are rotated in one direction as well as in the other, this is the case if the above-mentioned enlargement of the axial play of the discs when the rings 11 are rotated in the direction of the arrow l1 of FIG. 4 is no longer possible, because then the slightly inclined surfaces 26 of the toothed couplings 13 push the discs 14 so much to the right that the rings 11 opposite their associated disks 14 can be rotated.
So that when the lock is set, so with the mutual position of the tumblers shown in Fig. 4, not the one disc 14 is carried along by the adjacent disc by friction, intermediate layers 27 are provided between these discs, the Lap pen 28 in the groove 29 of the Housing 10 a grip. These intermediate layers 27, one of which is shown in Fig. 7 in view, are therefore anchored on the housing 10, so that neighboring disks 14 are separated from each other by a stationary part and an unwanted entrainment of a disk 14 by another is impossible.
Assume now that the lock is set in its position shown in FIG. 4 to the key shown in FIG. If you now insert the key into the central opening 21 of the lock to open or close the lock and rotate in one sense or the other, all cams 6 of the key come into engagement with the associated cams 12 of the lock at the same time, and there will be thus all locking mechanisms are rotated by the same amount at the same time.
The cutouts 1.5 of the disks 14 remain aligned with each other in a line, and if they come in the case of opening the lock in the loading area of the operating lever 16, this can jump into these cutouts. But if you put a key in the lock whose setting does not correspond to the set combination of the lock, then you do not begin to turn all tumblers at the same moment, the cutouts 15 ver represent each other and the lever 16 cannot jump into them. So an uncalled person does not have the opportunity to open the lock.
However, if you want to open the lock with the correct key after using the incorrect key, this is easily possible, since this key brings the tumblers back into the correct mutual position when it is turned.
If you want to change the combination of the lock, for example give it the combination 03415, you set the key, as described above, to this new combination. Then you loosen the screw 25 of the lock. This creates the increase in axial play described above. If you now insert the newly set key and turn it in the direction of the arrow: 1 of FIG. 4, the rings 11 can rotate relative to the associated disks 14, which are held against rotation by the member 16, because the tooth surfaces 16 hold the disk Push ben 14 to the right.
If you turn the key two or three times, you have Ge guaranteed that all cams 6 of the key touch their associated cams 12 of the rings 11 be. Then pulls. as long as the key is still inserted, tighten the screw 25 like the one, so that the increased play is again canceled. The lock is reset. The lock described above can be set to any combination between the values 00000 and 99999. So with this lock and key with only five rings, hundreds of thousands of different combinations are possible. It should be noted that the same type of rings 5, rings 11 and washers 14 must be produced for all these combinations. So you only have to produce exactly the same parts for a hundred thousand locks in different combinations.
Manufacturing is therefore extremely simple and cheap.
The lock can of course also be manufactured with any larger number of tumblers and rings, for example a lock with ten rings. This could then be set to all combinations between the values 0000000000 and 9999999999. So it would be ten billion combinations. possible with such a key. Aii place of the screw 25 could be used as a means by which a temporary increase in the axial play it is available, a fork which engages around the cylindrical part of the disc 19 on two sides.
Finally, an embodiment would also be possible in which not only the axial play of the disks 14, that is to say only of parts of the tumblers, but also of the rings 11 can be increased. Even then, the necessary axial relative movement between the parts 11 and 14 would be possible.
