Of these tumblers each consists of two parts, namely an outer disc 14 and an inner ring i i., Which has a cam 12 on its inner surface, which is intended to be connected to (the cam 6 of the corresponding ring 5, des At each locking, the outer disc 14 is coupled to this inner ring by a toothed coupling 13. The disc 14 has, as particularly FIGS. 5: and 8 show, a cutout 15 in which the actuating lever i, 6 for .the under the effect of the spring 31 stationary closing member 17, the. lock engages. Dieseis actuator 1.6, sold under the A $ USS the Feider 3, against, the discs 14 of all the tumblers is pressed, only ( then enter the cutouts 15 when the latter are all in the same line, but then the position of the closing member 17 as shown in FIG Tumblers, id iall are arranged rotatably in the housing ro are pressed against one another by a spring 18. This spring is supported with its one end against the disk 14 of the rightmost tumbler and with its other end against a disk ig, which, as FIG. 6 shows, has inner projections 2o evenly distributed over the circumference, which facilitate the introduction of the key Intended to facilitate in the central opening 21 of the lock. Disk ig has one. Tab 30, which engages in a groove 29 of the housing io. The ring -i.i 'of the outermost left. Guard locking is centered by a recess 22 of the housing, while the discs 14. of all locking devices along their circumference. through the inside 23: of the housing io with a sliding fit. The front closure of the lock is formed by the disk 24. As FIG. 4 shows, an adjustable member in the form of a screw 215 is inserted radially into the housing io. This screw prevents in the in; The position shown in FIG. 4, the disks r4ider tumblers at an axial displacement. If, on the other hand, this screw 25 is screwed out a little, these disks 14 can be axially displaced in that their play between the outermost left ring ii and the screw 25 is now increased Rings vi and disks 14, the tooth coupling 13 when the rings ii are rotated both in one and in the other direction, which takes the disks 14 with it, is this: if the above-mentioned enlargement exists, the axial play of the disks during a rotation. of the rings ri in the direction (of the arrow A in FIG. 4 no longer possible, because then the slightly inclined surfaces 2.6 of the toothed clutches 13 (the disks 14 so much to the right,: that the rings ii opposite their associated disks 14 can turn twisted.
27 vorgesehen, ,deren Lappen 28 in die Nut 29 des Gehäuses i:a eingreifen.
Thus with the lock set, that is, with the one shown in FIG
mutual position of the tumblers, not the one disc 14 through. the neighboring one
Disc, which is dragged along by friction, are intermediate layers between these discs
27 provided, the tabs 28 of which engage in the groove 29 of the housing i: a. These
Intermediate layers 27, one of which is shown in Fig. 7 shown in view are so
anchored to the housing ro, so that adjacent disks 14 (by a stationary part
are separated from each other and an unwanted entrainment of a disc 14 t by a
other is impossible.
Angenommen nun, das Schloß sei in seiner in Fig..4 (dargestellten
Lage ,auf ,den in Fig. i gezeigtenSchlüsseleingestellt.Steckt man nun zwecks Öffners

richtige gegenseitige Lage bringt.Assuming now that the lock is in its in Fig..4 (shown

5, Ringen i i und Scheiben 14 hergestellt werden muß. Man muß also für hunderttausend
The lock described above can be used in all combinations between
the values ooooo and 9999'9 can be set. So it is: with this lock
and key with only five rings, hundreds of thousands of different combinations possible.
Note that for all of these combinations, the same type of rings
5, rings i i and washers 14 must be made. So you have to go for a hundred thousand
Always manufacture locks in different combinations using exactly the same parts.
Manufacturing is therefore extremely simple and cheap.
Es wären also zehn Milliarden Kombinationen
der Ringe i i vergrößerlbar ist. Auch (dann wäre die zur Verstellung notwendige
axiale Relativbewegung zwischen .den Teilen i i und 14 möglich. You can of course also use the lock with any larger number
of tumblers and rings, for example one. Lock with ten rings.
This could then be set to all combinations that exist between the
Values ooooooooroo and 999g9.9999'9 are. So it would be ten billion combinations
possible with such a key. Instead of the screw 25 could be used as a means
through which a temporary enlargement of the axia'l, en game is available
.st, a fork can be used, splitting the cylindrical part of the disc r9 on two
Pages encompassed. Finally, an execution would also be possible, where not only that
axial play of the discs 14, so only parts of the tumblers, but. even
the rings i i can be enlarged. Also (then the adjustment would be necessary
axial relative movement between .the parts i i and 14 possible.
