Method and device for flocking objects. The present invention relates to a method and a device for flaking objects.
The procedure is characterized by this. that the elongated flakes are exposed to the force of an electric field, the lines of force of which are almost perpendicular to the surface to be deeply attracted, so that the flakes also hit the surface to be deeply drawn in an almost vertical position and are held there at one end by an adhesive. Appropriately, a high-voltage electrical DC field is used, with z. B. an Infhienzmasehine or a needle rectifier can serve. But it is also possible to apply a high-tension alternating field.
The device according to the present invention for carrying out the method according to the invention is used for flocking objects in film and plate form and is identified. by a movable flocking table on which the object to be deeply drawn comes to lie, whereby means for holding the object on the tabletop of the flocking table, a floekentiseh on which the flakes used for flocking lie,
and a floe spreading device for uniformly applying the flakes to the flake table and means for generating an almost homogeneous electrical force field between the flocking and the flake table are provided. With reference to the schematic drawing, an embodiment of the device for performing the inventive method is described in more detail below. This embodiment is specially designed for the flocking of objects in plate and film form.
The flocking table is designated with 1. The interior 2 is ver with a suction fan 3 connected. The plate 4 on which the object to be blocked comes to lie is. With. Provided holes, similar to a sieve, so that after switching on the suction fan 3, the object to be flooded on the table plate 4 sticks. The flocking table 1 can be tilted about the axis 5 by at least 1800 so that the plate 4 can be rotated upwards.
The flocking table with suction fan is mounted on a mobile frame 6, which can be pushed back and forth on the frame 7 in the direction of the arrow. A device for applying the adhesive to the object to be deep-lured is referred to by 8, specifically by means of the rubber roller 9, which applies the adhesive in an even layer. Applies to the object to be deeply locked when the flocking table is moved to the right over the adhesive device in the gezeichne th position. The roller 10 transfers the adhesive from the adhesive container 11 to the rubber roller 9.
In order to ensure good application and spreading of the adhesive on the object to be deeply loosened, the circumferential speed of the glue roller 9 is selected to be different from the speed of the flocking tissue sweeping over it. The flake table 13 is arranged in the frame 12 and is adjustable in height so that the distance between the retracted flocculation table 1 and the flake table 13 can be set as desired.
On the upper side of the frame 12 there is a flake filtering device, which consists of the stationary flake container 14 and the movably arranged flake reed 15. The bottom of the flake container 14 consists of perforated sheet metal, e.g. B. a sieve, or a wire grid.
The flake rake 15 can be of a similar design and be moved back and forth by hand or by machine. By moving the flake rake back and forth, the flakes fall like a rain onto the flake table 13, which is thereby evenly covered with flakes. At the bottom of the frame 12 there is a funnel-shaped collecting device 16 with a container 17 for collecting the flakes falling next to the flake table.
The direct or alternating voltage required to generate the electrical field is connected on the one hand to the flocking table 13 and on the other hand to the flocking table 1, where measures can be taken to ensure that the voltage is only switched on when the flocking table is completely retracted into the frame 12 is, that is, is in the position as indicated in the drawing with dash-dotted lines.
The flocking table 1 or its plate 4 and the flocking table 13 are in this case parallel to each other. The connection of the voltage can be done in a known manner and is therefore not shown in the drawing.
The operation of the device is as follows: The flakes used for flocking are poured into the flake rake 15 or the flake container 14. Then the flake rake 15 is moved back and forth. Since the flakes fall through the bottom of the flake container 14 on the flake table 13, which is covered with a uniform layer of these flakes.
When the flake spreader is at rest, practically no flakes fall on the flake table. Expediently, just such a quantity of fleas is applied to the flake table 13 as is necessary for flocking. The flocking table 1 is tilted by 180 degrees from the position shown in the drawing so that the plate 4 lies upwards. Now the object that is flocculating too deep is placed on the plate 4. and the suction fan switched on.
As a result, the object to be deeply lured adheres firmly to the plate 4. The flocking table 1 is then tilted back by 1800 so that it is in the position shown. Then the flocking table will go over the flocking table 13 ge, where it happens the adhesive device 8 so that the object to be deeply locked was provided by the rubber roller 9 with adhesive.
When the flocking table 1 has reached its end position in the frame 12, the voltage is switched on. An electric field is created between the flocking table 1 and the flocking table 13, as a result of which the flocks jump from the flocking table 13 to the object to be deeply lured, lying on the plate 4 and provided with adhesive.
The flakes, which are set according to the electrical field in their longitudinal direction, adhere to one end of the object to be deeply attracted. After sufficient flocking, the table 1 is moved out of the Ge alternate 12, the adhesive device 8 is lowered by means not shown, so that the rubber roller 9 no longer touches the now flocked object. Once in its starting position, the flocking table 1 is tilted upwards, the suction fan is switched off and the flocked object can now be removed from the table top 4.
The device is now ready for the next flocking. The flocked sheet is then dried and sucked off with a suction device, for example similar to a vacuum cleaner, to remove any loosely adhering flok. It is very useful to use an electric field that is as homogeneous as possible in order to achieve an even flood.
In order to generate such a field, it is advantageous to provide that surface of the flocking table 1 on which the object to be deep-lured, ie the table top 4, with a metal covering that is connected to one pole of the voltage source that is. In the same way, it can be advantageous to provide that surface of the flake table 13 on which the flakes come to lie with a metal coating which is connected to the other pole of the voltage source. The metal coverings can be made of sheet metal. But the surfaces can also just be metallized.
As already mentioned, it can be useful to dry the flocked object immediately after flocking and to free it from flakes that do not adhere firmly. The corresponding devices are advantageously assembled with the device described.
In order to prevent the flakes falling from the flake spreading device from falling next to the flake table, a shielding device, not shown, can be attached.
Experiments have shown that the distance between the table top 4 and the upper surface of the flake table 13 is expediently set to 8 cm. But it can also be done with. Achieve useful results at intervals of 4 to 12 cm. The size of the distance depends. Among other things, on the length and weight of the flake material used, also on the desired tightness of the flocking.
With the device described, objects of all kinds that can be produced as foils or plates, such as paper, cardboard, wood, PavateY, Eternit, sheet metal, celluloid, cork, leather, can be flocked. Flakes made of cotton, full, natural and artificial silk, asbestos, nylon, felt and cellulose are particularly suitable.
Depending on the flake material used, in particular depending on the length of the flakes, a wide variety of effects can be achieved; so result z. B. flakes of 0.5 mm length give the flocked object a leather-like character, flocked objects with flakes of 1.0 mm length have more of a velours character and when using flakes of 1.5 mm length one can get a velvet-like Achieve appearance.
