Regelvorrichtung.

Control device. The invention relates to a Re gel device with two expansion bodies of different heat capacities, which set a control member depending on the speed of change of the temperature of a medium. The invention consists in that the two expansion bodies are sections of the pipe leading to the medium.
The two pipe sections can have different or the same wall thicknesses, they can be of equal or unequal length, and they can consist of the same or different materials.
An expansion body can set the rule organ by means of a spring or each expansion body by means of a spring. The springs can have the same or different spring characteristics. The expansion body can adjust the regulating member via a mechanical, hydraulic, electrical or magnetic control.
In addition to the rate of change in temperature, the regulating element can also be influenced by the temperature itself.
As is known, the regulating properties of temperature regulators can be improved by using the rate of change in temperature for setting the regulating element. The drawing shows two exemplary embodiments of the subject matter of the invention. 1 serves to explain the method on which the control devices are based, FIG. 2 shows an embodiment with mechanical and FIG. 3 shows an embodiment with hydraulic adjustment of the control element.
In Fig. 1 means. curve a shows the temperature profile of the medium over time, which influences the control device. If the curve <I> a. </I> is shifted by the amount <I> dz </I> in the direction of the time axis, curve b is obtained, which in the ordinate direction by a value that changes as a function of time <I> d T </I> deviates from curve a.

, d z remains constant over the entire course of the curve, is also
EMI0001.0036
This course of the rate of change of the tempera ture is represented by curve c.
If the temperature profile according to curve a and the temperature profile delayed by. -, Az according to curve b are recorded with a device, the value <I> d T </I> proportional to the rate of change can be obtained by forming the difference, and therewith a control body can be influenced in a suitable manner
In the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 2, the medium flows through the insulated pipe 1, which has a section 2 with a normal wall thickness and a section 3 with a greater wall thickness. At the transition from section 2 to section 3, the lever 6 is hinged to the support 4 at the pivot point 5, on which the Fe countries 7 and 8 attack at point 9.
The other end of these springs is connected to the ends of the pipe sections 2 and 3 via the heat-expansion-free rods 10, 11 and the supports 12, 13.
During operation, the pipe sections expand or shorten, depending on whether the temperature of the medium rises or falls, with the expansion curve of the pipe section 3 lags that of the section 2 by the time span d z corresponding to the greater heat capacity. The supports 12, 13 are moved by the stretching movements and influence the lever 6 via the rods 10, 11 and the springs 7, 8.
The amount by which the point of application 9 shifts with respect to the rotating point 5 is proportional to the temperature difference of the two pipe sections and thus, as stated above, for the same length and the same material of the pipe sections, and for springs with the same spring characteristics ,
proportional to the rate of change in temperature.
Provided. the springs 7, 8 have different characteristics, or if there is a difference in the length or the material of the pipe sections 2, 3, the deflection of the lever 6 depends not only on the rate of change in temperature but also on the size of the temperature itself, whereby the influence of the size of the temperature increases in accordance with the mentioned difference.
A regulating element can be set by means of the deflection of the lever 6. According to FIG. 3, the springs do not act on a lever, but on the control piston 14, which is movable in the cylinder 15 and has the control channels 16. The control groove 17 is located in the cylinder, to which pressure oil is fed through the line 18. A discharge groove 19 of the cylinder leads via line 20 into a container under external pressure.
The line 21 connects the inner space 22 of the cylinder, which is sealed with a stuffing box, with the control element, for example with the interposition of a pressure oil servo motor.
If the piston moves upwards at a temperature change, the control channels 16 come into connection with the relief groove 19, so that the oil pressure in space 22 drops as a result of the outflow of oil; the pressure drops so long; until a balance is established between the spring force and the oil pressure on the piston. The pressure in the space 22 influences the control element in a corresponding manner via the line 21. Ver pushes the piston down, so ge reached from the line 18 via the control groove 1.7 and the control channels 16 pressure oil in the interior 22. In the same, the pressure rises until it keeps the new spring pressure in balance.
The spring pressures themselves are in the same way as the deflections of the lever 6 according to Pig. 1 on the speed of change in temperature and possibly on the temperature itself.
