Description
Verfahren zur Herstellung einer wasserlöslichen organischen Stickstoffverbindung. Im Hauptpatent ist ein Verfahren be schrieben, bei welchem Triäthylentetramin und Dicyandiamid in Abwesenheit von Was ser bei erhöhter Temperatur unter Abspal tung von Ammoniak miteinander zur Reak tion gebracht werden.
Es hat sich nun gezeigt, dass man ähnlich wirkende Verbindungen erhält, wenn man an Stelle von Triäthylentetramin eine äquiva lente Menge eines Gemisches von Polyäthy- lenpoly aminen vom Kplo_" 103 bis 2200 C, wie es bei der Destillation des Umsetzungs produktes aus Äthylenchlorid und Ammoniak nach Aufarbeitung desselben anfällt, mit Di- cyandiamid in Abwesenheit von Wasser, ge gebenenfalls in Anwesenheit von nichtwässeri gen Lösungsmitteln, bei erhöhter Temperatur unter Abspaltung von Ammoniak umsetzt.
Das Produkt ist. eine basische, schwach gelb gefärbte, pulverisierbare, wasserlösliche Masse, die mit Hilfe geeigneter organischer oder anorganischer Säuren in wasserlösliche Salze übergeführt werden kann. Das basische Produkt wie auch dessen wasserlösliche Salze eignen sich als solche oder zusammen mit was serlöslichen Verbindungen der mehrwertigen Metalle, wie Kupfer, zur Verbesserung der Echtheitseigensehaften von Färbungen finit Substantiven Farbstoffen, zur Herstellung von Pigmenten oder zur Animalisierung zellu- losischer Fasern.
Sie besitzen ausserdem die Eigenschaft, saure Farbstoffe aus ihren wäs serigen Lösungen zu fällen. Beispiel: In einem geeigneten Rührkolben werden zum Beispiel 20,6 g Polyäthylenpolyamin, Kplo_i2 103 bis 2200 C, und 16,8 g Dieyan- diamid gemischt und 3 bis 5 Stunden bei 125 bis 165 C gehalten. Eine Probe soll noch immer wasserlöslich sein. Wird die Masse zu dick, so wird der Rührer abgestellt und die selbe ohne Rühren weitererhitzt. Das erhal tene Kondensationsprodukt ist eine basische, schwach gelb gefärbte Masse, die nach dem Erkalten pulverisiert werden kann.
Es kann als solche oder in Form eines wasserlöslichen Salzes oder Kupferkomplexes zur Anwendung gelangen.
Process for producing a water-soluble organic nitrogen compound. The main patent describes a process in which triethylenetetramine and dicyandiamide are reacted with each other in the absence of what water at elevated temperature with elimination of ammonia.
It has now been shown that compounds with a similar effect are obtained if, instead of triethylenetetramine, an equivalent amount of a mixture of polyethylene polyamines from Kplo_ "103 to 2200 C, as is the case with the distillation of the reaction product of ethylene chloride and ammonia after working up the same, reacted with dicyandiamide in the absence of water, optionally in the presence of non-aqueous solvents, at elevated temperature with the elimination of ammonia.
The product is. a basic, pale yellow, pulverizable, water-soluble mass which can be converted into water-soluble salts with the aid of suitable organic or inorganic acids. The basic product as well as its water-soluble salts are suitable as such or together with water-soluble compounds of the polyvalent metals, such as copper, to improve the fastness properties of finite substantive dyes, for the production of pigments or for the animalization of cellulosic fibers.
They also have the property of precipitating acidic dyes from their aqueous solutions. Example: In a suitable stirred flask, for example, 20.6 g of polyethylene polyamine, Kplo_i2 103 to 2200 C, and 16.8 g of dieyaniamide are mixed and held at 125 to 165 C for 3 to 5 hours. A sample should still be soluble in water. If the mass becomes too thick, the stirrer is switched off and the same is further heated without stirring. The condensation product obtained is a basic, pale yellow-colored mass that can be pulverized after cooling.
It can be used as such or in the form of a water-soluble salt or copper complex.
