  Verfahren zur Herstellung     eines        Monoazofarbstoffes.       Gegenstand vorliegenden Patentes ist ein  Verfahren zur Herstellung eines     Monoazofarb-          stoffes.    Das Verfahren ist dadurch gekenn  zeichnet, dass man     diazotiertes        1-N-Benzoyl-          amino    - 4 -     amin    o - 2 -     methoxy-5-methyl    -     benzol     mit     p-gresol    kuppelt.

   Der     entstandene    neue  Farbstoff färbt     Aeetatkunstseide    und Super  polyamidfasern     aus        wässriger    Suspension in  reinen, gelben Tönen von sehr guter Wasch-.

    Licht- und     Sublimierechtheit.       <I>Beispiel:</I>  256     Teile        1-N-Benzoylamino-4-amino-2-          methogy-5-methyl-benzol    werden in feinver  teilter Form in 4000 Teilen Wasser und 300  Teilen Salzsäure     30%i,-"    bei 0 bis 5  mit 69    Teilen     Natriumnitrit        diazotiert    und mit einer  alkalischen Lösung von 108 Teilen     p-gresol     gekuppelt. Der in guter Form ausgefallene  Farbstoff     wird        filtriert,    mit     Wasser    ge  waschen, getrocknet und fein gemahlen.
