Washing machine and swing-out machine. Washing machines and swing-out machines are known in which an air flow is maintained through the water during the washing process, which air flow is generated by means of a blower arranged on the cover of the machine. The air is pressed through a space between the housing wall and an insert and through the open bottom of the insert, whereby the air gets into the interior (loose insert. The swinging he follows in such machines by means of a basket, which is in the washing machine Can insert housing and can be set in rotation by means of the air flow generated by the fan mentioned, after which the washing water has been drained.
The washing and swing-out machine according to the present invention, in which a fan is also arranged in the machine cover and a washing insert or a swing-out drum can optionally be inserted into a container, is now characterized in that a closing body arranged on the machine cover has a central opening for the return of the Air to the fan wheel and in calibration around the fan extending turn parts air outlet openings, and that a cover is seen in front of which can be placed airtight on the Waschein rate, where he is inserted into the container washing insert, the outer surface then at a distance from the Inside wall of the container runs,
runs partially parallel to and at a distance from the closing body of the machine cover and touches the closing body along the entire circumference at a point between the central air return opening and the lateral air outlet openings.
The drawing shows a vertical section through an embodiment of the machine according to the invention, on the left ready for washing, on the right ready to swing out.
The washing and swing-out machine shown has an outer cylindrical container 1 with a removable cover 2 a uf, which is provided with a hood 3 in which an electric motor 4 is attached. The latter carries a fan wheel 6 on a vertical shaft 5.
The parts 4 to 6 are covered by a closing body 7, which is fastened to the cover 2 and provided with openings 15. The closing body has a central recessed part 8 and serves to guide the air during washing in the direction of the arrows shown on the left in the figure from the fan wheel 6 into the space between the wall of the container 1 and a cylindrical insert 9 ,
which is supported abge in the container 1 by means of feet 10.
The washing insert 9 carries along its upper gante a sealing strip 12 on which a removable lid 13 rests loosely during washing. This cover has a central recessed part 14, the shape of which is similar to that of part 8 of the closing body 7. In order to maintain a sufficient gap between these in the parts, the part 14 carries a sealing tire 16 which is on the lower part. 8 of the end plate 7 rests. The part ss has an opening 17 in the middle, which allows air access to the Ge blower wheel 6 and which is covered by the plate 18 of the lid 13 eats. This protective plate is provided with air holes 19 along its circumference.
During washing, the insert 9 is filled with detergent solution and laundry. The circulating air flows through the liquor and the laundry as long as the Ge blower wheel 6 is in operation. The path of the air is indicated by the arrows on the left side of the drawing.
When the mentioned laundry drains, that is to say has to be swung out, the lye is drained from the machine through the tap 11 arranged on the bottom of the container 1. At the same time the loose lid 13 and the insert 9 are removed with the laundry. So that the insert 9 can then serve as a washing container, it is provided with a removable grid or sieve 20 on the bottom. Then a tripod 22 with a column 23 is placed in the container 1, which latter carries the Schleudertrom mel 24.
When the container 1 is then covered and the fan wheel 6 is started, the air flows along a path that is indicated in the drawing by the arrows on the right dargestell th, that is, the air now flows out of the fan 6 along the blades 21 at the top the centrifugal drum 24, and it then returns after it flowed down the drum 24 through the holes 25 of the inner wall 26 up to the fan.
The drum 24 rotates at high speed, and the water or lye contained in the laundry is thrown out and diverted through the slot 27 between the outer and inner walls of the drum, If the machine is not in use, the drum can 24 housed within the washing insert 9 after the grid 20 has been placed on the bottom of the container 1.
The aforementioned design of the closing body 7 and the loose cover 13 with a central, recessed part has the effect that the blades of the centrifugal drum come to the level of the fan wheel when they swing out. The closing body 7 serves during washing at the same time to guide the air flow coming from the fan into the space between the container wall and the insert 9. As can be seen, this closing and guiding body 7 partially runs at some distance from the loose cover 13, and it extends all around the fan wheel 6 around.
