Cette attache est caractérisée par deux @jléments en forme d'U, dont un intérieur peut pivoter sur l'autre, extérieur, autour d'un axe d'articulation placé dans le voisinage d'une t xtrémité de ces éléments, l'un de ceux-ci présentant, sur sa face interne, des moyens de fixation pour le lien, et ledit axe et l'autre élément étant disposés de manière que le lien puisse être passé entre eux.

L'attache représentée se compose de deux éléments, en forme d'U, dont l'un, intérieur 1, est destiné à. être engagé dans le second, 4-xté rieur ?.
L'élément 2 forme le corps de l'attache, auquel est fixée la barrette 3 permettant de l'accrocher â. un autre élément non représenté du fermoir ou à un lien autre que le lien que l'élément intérieur L, constituant une plaque de fermeture, retient et protège.
L'élément intérieur 1 est muni d'un piton central 4 faisant saillie sur sa face interne et se terminant par une tête 5 légèrement renflée; l'élément. 1 peut osciller autour d'un axe 6, fixé dans l'élément 2 et constituant une articulation placée dans le voisinage d'une extrémité de ces éléments, extrémité présentant l'ouverture par laquelle on peut introduire le lien à réunir à l'attache, par exemple un lien de cuir appartenant à un bra celet de montre.
La fig. 3 montre comment, ledit cuir étant perforé d'un trou, on peut, après avoir fait basculer l'élément intérieur 1 hors de l'élé ment extérieur 2 et enfilé le lien 7 entre l'axe 6 et ce dernier élément, soit entre l'axe de pivotement et l'élément auquel le lien n'est pas accroché, poser à plat ce lien dans le fond de l'élément intérieur 1 auquel on le relie en faisant pénétrer le piton 4-5 dans sa. perforation.
Il est clair que, dès ce moment, toute traction exercée sur le cuir tendra à amener l'élément intérieur 1 de lui-même dans la position pour laquelle il est engagé dans l'élément extérieur 2.
Dans cette position, que montre finale ment la coupe longitudinale de la fig. 4, le cuir est, à la fois, retenu par le piton 4-5 et caché, ainsi que protégé, par l'entourage des deux éléments en forme d'U engagés l'un dans l'autre.
Cet assemblage se maintient donc de lui- même, sous l'effet de la traction normale- ment exercée sur le lien 7. L'élément inté rieur 1 est en outre maintenu dans l'élément extérieur 2 par le fait que, dans le cas d'un bracelet de montre, il vient s'appliquer contre le poignet de l'usager.
On pourrait encore adjoindre à l'ensemble décrit une sécurité supplémentaire en pré voyant un cran assurant la position fermée, c'est-à-dire la position d'engagement. des deux éléments 1 et 2 l'un dans l'autre.
Il est évident que l'on pourrait prévoir plus d'un piton ou autre organe permettant d'accrocher le lien et que ce dernier pourrait comporter plusieurs perforations, afin de permettre un ajustage de la longueur du lien.
