L'invention a pour objet un dispositif comportant une tablette relevablepour lit de malade, caractérisée en ce que la tablette est montée sur un support constitué par au moins un bras destiné à être fixé à son extrémité, par collier, sur l'un des montants du :lit, une arti culation étant interposée entre ledit bras et ledit collier en vue de permettre soit de rele ver la tablette pour en libérer le malade, soit de l'abaisser en position horizontale ou in clinée dans la mesure désirée.

Le dispositif représenté comporte hune ta- blette 3, en métal ou autre matière, portée par un cadre 4-5 en tube ou autre, se fixant par des colliers 6 .sur les montants 2 du. lit 1 (lequel, dans l'exemple représenté, est supposé un lit métallique).
Le -cadre 4-5 pourrait se réduire à un bras unique se fixant sur un seul montant du lit et coudé à son extrémité pour porter la planchette Toutefois, il semble préférable, comme dans l'exemple représenté, de constituer le cadre 4-5 en forme d'un<B>U</B> dont les deux branches 5 sont fixées par colliers 6 aux deux montants 2 du lit, tandis que la traverse 4 porte la tablette 3.
Chaque -collier 6 comporte une articula- tion 11-14 (fig. 2 et 3) qui permet de relever et d'abaisser les bras et la tablette en décri vant un arc de cercle passant au-dessus de la personne couchée.
Cette articulation comporte préférable ment une noix intérieure 12 engagée dans une cuvette 11 et un ressort en hélice 13 inter posé et dont les extrémités sont ancrées dans l'une et l'autre pièces, de façon à travailler à la torsion, le bandage du ressort étant tel ,qu'i'1 compense, en toutes positions, une par tie de l'effet du poids de l'équipage mobile 3-4-5. Le serrage de l'articulation, donnant le ,;dur" .nécessaire, est réalisé par boulon 1.4.
La pièce mobile de l'articulation - la noix 12, dans l'exemple représentë - porte un bossage 15 dans lequel -est engagé, avec possibilité de coulissement, l'extrémité du bras 5, un système ide blocage 16 étant prévu.
La tablette 3 peut pivoter par rapport à l'entretoise 4 du cadre pour permettre de lui donner l'inclinaison voulue et, à cet effet, des pontets 9 peuvent être fixés sous la ta blette et pourvus de moyens de serrage appropriés 10.
Afin d'assurer la stabilité de l'équipage mobile 3-4-5 et éviter que la tablette 3 presse sur le corps, le cadre 4-5 est pourvu, à ses angles, de montants 7 munis de bé quilles 8 fixes ou mieux raabattables et ré glables par pivotement autour de l'axe d'attache.
Les béquilles prennent appui sur le lit, mais -on dehors du corps du-malade qu'elles ne gênent par conséquent pas dans ses mou vements.
Sur la fig. 1, la tablette 3 en position d'emploi (tracé en traits pleins). En dehors des moments d'utilisation, l'ensemble cadre 4-5 et tablette 3 est relevé verticalement et prend la position verticale figurée en traits mixtes.
Dans cette position, le dispositif ne con duit à .aucun encombrement de nature à géner en quoi que ce soit les. passages dans la salle et il en est de même, qu'il s'agisse d'un lit monté contre un appui ou adossé à un autre lit, ou encore situé au milieu d'une salle.
Lorsqu'un malade a besoin de placer la a<B>,</B> devant lui ,soit pour prendre ses re- t blette pas, soit pour lire, écrire, etc., il lui suffit de saisir et d'abaisser les bras supports 5 jusqu'au niveau mettant la tablette 3 à la position la plus favorable à ses désirs.
Par l'effet des ressorts compensateurs 13, le malade peut abaisser -et remonter la ta blette sans effort.
Il peut de plus lui donner l'inclinaison voulue en agissant sur les moyens de ser rage 10.
La tablette 3 peut être munie de disposi tifs accessoires, tels que pinces à ressorts ou autres, pour maintenir en place 'des feuilles de papier, par exemple: la tablette peut être munie aussi d'emboîtages amovibles pour immobiliser des récipients, tels, que verres à boire, tasses, encriers, etc. La tablette peut aussi comporter un rebord pour arrêter les objets et éviter qu'ils ne tombent sur le lit, lorsqu'elle est utilisée en position inclinée.

The device shown comprises a shelf 3, made of metal or other material, carried by a frame 4-5 made of a tube or the like, being fixed by collars 6 on the uprights 2 of the. bed 1 (which, in the example shown, is assumed to be a metal bed).
The -frame 4-5 could be reduced to a single arm fixed to a single bed post and angled at its end to carry the board.
