Device for the recovery of heat from exhaust air from rooms to preheat the incoming fresh air. The subject of the main patent is a device for the recovery of heat from exhaust air from rooms to preheat the incoming fresh air,
which has a heat exchanger with two tubes located one inside the other, through which exhaust air and fresh air are driven in counterflow, the inner tube being designed to be corrugated in the circumferential direction to enlarge the heat exchange surface.
It has been found that the lower part of the inner tube of this facility always freezes so much at low outside temperatures that it can no longer function.
This inconvenience is remedied by the present additional invention because means are provided, the actuation of which can cause the countercurrent to be temporarily canceled and exhaust air to be driven back through the air duct back into the room to be ventilated, in order to prevent icing at low outside temperatures to thaw exposed parts of the facility ..
Appropriately, a Ven tilkörper is provided in the uppermost part of the device where the fresh air enters, the between the. Inner and outer tube formed annulus, in which the fresh air normally flows, closes and the inner tube, through which the exhaust air flows, connects with the annulus.
An embodiment of the subject invention is shown in the accompanying drawing in Fig. H in vertical section and in Fig. 2 in side view.
As in the main patent, 1 designates an outer tube, 2 an inner tube which is corrugated in the circumferential direction, and 3 a displacement tube within the inner tube.
On both sides of the corrugated inner tube, annular spaces la and 2a are created, along which the exhaust air and fresh air flow in countercurrent, namely the exhaust air flows in the annular space 2a upwards in the direction of arrow II and the fresh air in the annular space la downwards in the sense of Arrow I.
A double cone valve body 20 is present within the joint of the between: the uppermost pipe 1 'and the next outer pipe 1 ", which has two cone-shaped parts 21 and 2, 2, which are connected to one another at their further ends The valve body 2'0 can be adjusted by means of rods 24, lever 25 and handle 2'6 .
In the position shown in FIG. 1, the part 212 of the valve body rests on the closing ring 5 of the inner tube 2, and the air flows take place in the direction of arrows I and II.
If icing of the equipment is to be thawed, the valve body 20 is raised by pulling the handle 26 into the position shown in dash-dotted lines, in which, the part 21 of the valve body 20 against the lower edge, the tube 1 ' is applied. This blocks the way of the incoming fresh air, and at the same time part 22 opens,
of the double cone valve a connection between the space 2a of the exhaust air and the annular space la. Part of the warm exhaust air promoted by the fan, not shown, is now instead of flowing into the open air in the sense of: Arrow III through the annular space la and the Frisehluftventilator back into the ventilated room. ge long (driven).
