Description
Sealing strips made of elastic building material. The present invention is a sealing strip made of elastic construction material for sealing a; si door or window sash against its frame.
The sealing strip according to the invention is characterized in that the strip has a completely closed, pentagonal hollow profile, in which two surfaces of unequal width are provided which run parallel to one another and perpendicular to a third side,
and with a convex surface adjoining the wider surface and a concavely arched surface on the narrower side, the whole thing in such a way that the projection of the gante determined by the two arched surfaces onto the third mentioned, see closer to the narrower side than at the opposite broader side.
In the drawing is. For example, an embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown in the installed state in cross section. In this drawing, p denotes the sealing strip made of elastic material, e.g.
B. made of rubber, and k the framework men z. B. a door or window sash. As can be seen from the drawing, the sealing strip has two sides a, b running parallel to one another, which run perpendicular to the third side c.
The width of the sides a, b is unequal because the side surface b is narrower or is lower than the side surface a. How out. As can be seen in the drawing, the wider surface a is followed by a convex surface b and the narrower side is followed by a concavely curved surface e.
The two surfaces d, e meet at a gante f, the projection of which onto the side surface c is closer to the narrower surface b than to the wider surface a.
Those on pages d, e offer a picture of a water wave overturning. As a result of this design of the profile it is possible to remove the part of the sealing strip protruding from the frame k with a relatively small amount.
Press the pressure into the groove receiving the sealing strip. Since a relatively burned surface d comes into contact with the surface of the door or window sash lying on it. A symmetrical design of the profile would require a great deal of pressure.
