From DOS 1 619 321 a method is known according to which fabric made of unmixed cellulose fibers with direct dyes and water repellants (mentioned without further identification) are padded together from a liquor. The direct dyes are then fixed to the goods by means of a steaming and dwell process.
It has now been found that piece goods made of cellulose fibers mixed with polyester fibers can be simultaneously dyed and water-repellant if the textile material is treated with an aqueous liquor that contains, in addition to reactive dyes and disperse dyes, water-repellants that are condensable in the heat or have an affinity for fibers and the contains acidic catalysts required for condensation, if necessary an additional protective colloid and, if necessary, an alkali donor that is effective in the heat,
impregnated at room temperature, the goods thus treated dry net, then subjected to the action of dry heat at 140 to 210 C for thermosolation of the disperse dyes and for condensation of the water repellants.
According to the present invention, both components of the fiber mixture result in dyeings with good color yield which have a sufficiently washable water repellent effect achieved at the same time.
In general, every method is now trying to simplify the handling and implementation of the Färbeope ration as much as possible. As a comparison with the prior art shows, this goal is largely taken into account by the method according to the invention. In addition, the savings in water and energy in the new process are considerable, since no change of flot is carried out together with any associated rewarming of the bath, etc. For this reason, too, the introduction of this procedure in practice appears to be very promising.
When working in the laboratory, because of the small amount of liquor required for this and the short exposure time, the stability of the liquor only plays a minor role or the resulting minor inhomogeneities on the goods are negligible. In practice, however, it is very important that a padding liquor prepared for dyeing remains stable over a period of, for example, 2 to 3 hours.
In order to achieve optimal bath stability with the new process, the padding liquor must be prepared as follows: The reactive dyes are dissolved in hot water in the usual way and the disperse dyes are dispersed in warm water, both solutions are diluted with an available amount of cold, soft water and then united with one another. The temperature of this mixture should not exceed 25 C.
Next, the water repellent, possibly diluted with water, the protective colloid and, lastly, the condensation catalyst or the alkali powder (if provided) are added. The dyebath is then made up to the final volume with cold water.
With the liquor produced in this way, a mixed fabric of the specified composition is padded, padded, dipped or sprayed at room temperature, squeezed off from the excess liquid and dried at about 100 ° C.
The goods provided with the dyes and water repellants are then subjected to a thermal process (thermosoling) to fix the disperse dyestuff on the polyester component at temperatures of 140 to 210 C and an exposure time of preferably 1 to 5 minutes, with the condensation of the water repellent at the same time and, in the presence of the alkali donor, e.g. B. of the sodium trichloroacetate type, in the padding liquor, the fixie ren of the reactive dye on the cellulose portion takes place.
Then, if not already done in the first fixing stage, the reactive dye is fixed in the usual way by continuously passing the dyed goods through an alkali in the form of sodium hydroxide and electrolyte in the form of sodium chloride containing liquor at temperatures up to 95 ' C in the course of 3 to 20 seconds, preferably 5 to 15 seconds, carried out (wet fixing method). The goods are then conveniently acidified with acetic acid and rinsed several times without the addition of detergent.
The inventive method for the common Fi xing of water repellent products and dyes on Tex tilien can be applied to all known mixtures of polyester fibers and cellulose fibers.
The cellulose fibers in these blends can be native fibers, such as cotton, or regenerated fibers, such as viscose, rayon, modal fibers.
The polyester fibers are those made from the known linear polyesters which can be dyed with disperse dyes. There are no restrictions with regard to the disperse dyes to be used. All dyes in this category are suitable; H. (Once distributed, water-insoluble color pigments, which are drawn from aqueous dispersions in the heat onto hydrophobic fibers and can be fixed to the textile material by a thermosol process.
To dye the cellulose component dyes from all known reactive dye systems can be used who, especially those of the vinyl sulfone type or based on the precursors of such reactive groups, eg. B. the / 3-sulfatoethyl sulfone radical, which form a free vinyl sulfone radical when exposed to alkali.
Likewise suitable, according to the process, are dyes containing 8- (2,2,3,3-tetrafluorocyclobutyl) acryloylamino groups, and also dyes containing dichloroquinoxaline, dichlorotriazine or mono- and di-halo-pyrimidine groups Dyes. The prerequisite for the usefulness of these dyes is that they are stable under the process conditions.
As water repellants for the water-repellent finish of the textile articles, according to the process according to the invention, primarily those based on silicone-type compounds which are curable on the fiber surface in the presence of a catalyst and at a higher temperature with self-condensation or which have an affinity for fibers. These substances are expediently used in amounts of 1 to 25 percent by weight, preferably 2 to 15 percent by weight, based on the textile material to be made from, which are customary in the hydrophobization of textiles.
To harden or condense the applied water repellants, acidic catalysts, for example chlorides, nitrates, sulfates and acetates of zinc, magnesium or ammonium, are used. These latently acidic compounds are used in the usual amounts, which depend primarily on the amount of the water repellent used. In general, the amount of the catalysts is about 0.3 to 30 percent by weight, preferably 5 to 25 percent by weight, based on the amount of the water repellant used.
The combined dyeing and water repellent finishing liquors used according to the invention also contain a protective colloid, e.g. B. an anionic product based on lignosulfonate.
In the context of the process according to the invention, it was surprisingly found in the laboratory and operational tests that the padding liquors remain stable, although liquor constituents with different effects are present. This applies even in the presence of fiber-affine, cationic silicone emulsions, in which a reduction in stability would have been expected without further ado. The emulsifiers used to produce the silicone emulsion thus also maintain the stability of the liquor.
In the process according to the invention, the combination of water repellants suitable for this purpose is then possible without impairment of the bath stability with other acid-curable anti-crease finishing agents if their amount does not exceed 90 to 60 g / l liquor. However, this amount is sufficient for the finishing effect, since the condensable water-repellent agents themselves contribute to the completion of the handle effect.
In addition, it was found that the color yield on both fiber parts is the same or only slightly lower than with a subsequent (two-bath) hydrophobization of a pre-dyed fabric and that the coloring and the hydrophobing effect are equivalent, ie. H. that neither of the two effects is at the expense of the other.
Furthermore, it was not foreseeable that the fixed water repellant would withstand the intensive, albeit brief, alkali action due to the high temperature and concentration during the wet fixation of the reactive dye on the cellulose portion without any significant reduction in effect.
It was also surprising that condensable water repellants, which are usually fixed by acidic catalysts, can also be crosslinked in a neutral medium with a sufficient effect and even the PII increase that occurs in the course of condensation when using alkali donors for fixation of the reactive dye results, survive without significant disadvantage.
Finally it was found that both the reactive and the dispersion dyes predominantly contain the corresponding fiber

padded on the padder with a weight increase (Flottenauf acquisition) of about 70%, dried at 100 C and then the silicone resin is condensed for 1 minute at 200 C and the disperse dye is thermosolated on the polyester fiber.
By passing the treated goods for 15 seconds at 95 C in a liquor containing 250 g of sodium chloride and 50 ml of 32.5% sodium hydroxide solution (38 Be) in the first box of the wide washing system, the Re active dye is then on the Cellulose fiber fixed. To the disadvantage, and considerably less, to color the coating of the water repellent.
DOS 1 469 773 relates to the simultaneous dyeing and waterproofing of textiles made from cellulose / polyester fiber blends in an aqueous dye bath containing reactive and disperse dyes, at least one silicone-based hydrophobing agent, an alkaline catalyst and crease-proofing resins. whereupon the treated goods are dried and subjected to a heat treatment between 110 and 220 C. This known process is carried out under alkaline conditions which adversely affect the color of the disperse dyes.
In contrast, the advantages of the alkali-free implementation of the process according to the invention, both with trichloroacetate in the padding liquor and with the alkali passage, are primarily in the protection of the disperse dyes. On the one hand, their fixation has already been completed by the time the alkali dispenser is fully effective or it is fixed long before the alkali passage. Example 1 A mixed fabric made of polyester / cotton in the ratio 67:
