Fig. 6 eine Detailvariante.
Method and device for measuring the distance between the optical axes of two or more lenses attached laterally to one another in a mount.
When writing prescriptions for glasses, the ophthalmologist specifies not only the thickness of the glasses but also the distance between the optical centers of the glasses. In certain cases, the glasses should also lie on different levels, that is to say they should be shifted against each other in a vertical direction, so that the optical center of one glass is z. B. is one millimeter above that of the other glass. Depending on the distance between the eyes of the patient and any organic defects, the centers of the lenses should lie in a certain way in the glasses frame. Up to now, such a fitting has taken place without subsequent control by measuring instruments, so that any errors that may have occurred during this fitting could not be corrected.
If the deviations are too great, the eye muscles are strained, which can cause head seizures etc.
The invention relates to a method for measuring the distance between the optical axes of two or more lenses arranged laterally in a holder, with which this disadvantage can be eliminated. According to the invention, the same is characterized in that one of the lenses is inserted into a beam and centered and that the frame is shifted thereon so that another of the lenses is centered in the beam, whereupon the displacement of the frame is measured.
The invention also relates to a device for carrying out the method according to the invention, an embodiment of which is illustrated in FIGS. 3 to 5 of the accompanying drawing. The drawing also shows:
1 and 2 schematically show the beam path of the device according to FIGS. 3 to 5 and
6 shows a detailed variant.
In FIGS. 1 and 2, 1 denotes a light source which exposes a mark plate 2 with a schematically indicated cross. This cross is placed in Fig. 1 at the focal point of a positive lens 3, and the parallel beam emanating from this is refracted by a lens 4 towards the focal point of the latter.
If between the lenses 3 and 4 a lens 6, z. If, for example, a spectacle lens is inserted (FIG. 2), the lens 3 must be moved closer to the mark plate 2 so that the rays become parallel again after passing through the lens 6. In FIG. 2, the lens 6 is shown inserted into the beam in such a way that its optical center lies laterally to the optical axis of the projection device. As can be seen from the figure, the image 5 'of the cross of the mark plate 2 will fall into the focal plane of the lens 4 laterally from the focal point of the latter.
In the focal plane of the lens 4, a second mark plate 5 is arranged, the z. B. also has a cross. If the lens 6 is not inserted into the beam, the image of the cross of the mark plate 2 coincides with the cross of the mark plate 5 (FIG. 1). After the introduction of the lens 6 with the optical axis parallel to the beam path, this coincidence will only occur if the optical axis of the lens 6 coincides with the axis of the projection device. This enables precise centering of the lens 6 in the beam path, since this centering is achieved when the image of the mark plate 2 coincides with the cross of the plate 5; this observation can easily be carried out by means of an eyepiece.
The value of the power of the lens 6 can also be obtained in a known manner by shifting the lens 3.
After these explanations about the centering of a lens in a beam path, the embodiment of the device according to the invention shown in FIGS. 3-5 is easy to understand. In FIG. 3, 10 denotes a tripod which is provided with a foot 11. At the lower end of the stand 10 a projection device is attached which contains a housing 12 with a light source 1, a mark plate 2 and a lens 3, corresponding to the mark plate 2 and the lens 3 in FIGS. 1 and 2. The marker plate can be moved axially with the help of a rotary ring 13, which is preferably calibrated in diopters and provided with a pin 14 which is guided in a spiral groove 16 in the wall of the housing 12 and moves the marker plate axially when the ring 13 is rotated.
The set position of the ring can be read on the scale 13a by means of a mark 13b. This scale preferably indicates the power of the centered lens in dioptres.
At the upper end 10a of the stand 10, a holder 17 for a lens 4, corresponding to the lens 4 in FIGS. 1 and 2, and one of the mark plate 5 of FIG. 1 corresponding e mark plate 5 are attached, which by a known manner by means of a button 18 adjustable eyepiece 15 can be viewed. In the air space between the projection device and the lens 4, a device is attached which BEZW in plan view. Cross section is shown in Fig. 4 and 5 on a larger scale. This device consists of a support table 20 which is set up to accommodate spectacles G and is provided with a support edge 21.
The table 20 is slidably attached in a guide 22 by means of a part 20b. which in turn is mounted displaceably in a sleeve-shaped part 24 of the stand 10 with the aid of a cylindrical pin 23.
The support table 20 is provided with a shoulder 25 in which a threaded bore 26 (FIG. 5) is provided, which joins a screw 27 which extends along the guide 22 and is rotatably mounted in end pieces 28 of the guide works. A rotary knob 29 is attached to one end of the screw.
By turning the rotary knob 29, the table 20 can be moved along the guide 22.
A threaded bore 30 is provided in the pin 23, into which a screw 32, which is rotatably but not displaceably mounted in the stand 10 and is provided with a rotary knob 31, engages. In order to prevent the pin 23 from rotating, it is provided with a guide strip 33 which engages in a groove in the sleeve-shaped part 24. By turning the rotary knob 31, the guide 22 and thereby also the table 20 can thus be displaced perpendicular to the beam in the air space.
The table 20 has two openings 44a, 44b which allow the rays from the projection device 1, 2, 3 to pass through the spectacle lens G to the eyepiece 15.
From the lower part of the stand 10, a holder 40 for a measuring table 41 provided with squares rises up. From the support table 20 protrudes from an arm 42 which carries a frame disk 43 provided with a crosshair, which is moved over the Mē table 41 when the support table 20 is displaced.
When using the device described for measuring the distance between the optical axes of the lenses inserted in the frame at a time, the glasses G are placed on the table 20 and fastened so that their lower edges rest against the support edge 21 and the lenses over the openings 44a, 44b lie. Then the table is shifted with the help of knobs 29 and 31 such that the one lens of the glasses is centered in the beam as described above be, which in this case through one of the openings 44a, 44b of the table 20, z. B. opening 44a passes therethrough.
On the measuring table 41, which is preferably provided with square millimeter graduation 41a, there are. The coordinates of the position of the crosshairs 43a are read off, after which the table 20 is shifted and the second lens of the spectacles is in the bundle of rays that now passes through the other opening; 44b, is centered. By reading the coordinates of the crosshairs in this new position, one can obtain both the horizontal distance between the optical axes of the two lenses and the vertical distance between these axes if such a deviation is present in the vertical direction.
In order to facilitate a measurement in astigmatic lenses, a diaphragm 47 can be inserted between the lens intended for measurement and the holder 17 on the upper part of the stand, which z. B. can consist of a perforated disk 45 pivotably mounted on the stand by means of a bolt 46. By introducing this diaphragm, perfect sharpness of the image of the mark plate 2 falling on the graticule 5 is obtained, so that this measurement can also be carried out with great accuracy.
There. As is known, astigmatic glasses have the combined properties of spherical and cylindrical lenses, a sharp image is only possible with a small paraxial bundle that delimits this diaphragm. Before introducing the aperture you can from the image of a suitable brand plate 2, z. B. a radiation grid to determine the position of the cylinder axis.
The measuring table 41 can also be arranged displaceably in a guide 48, 49 (FIG. 5). With such an arrangement it is possible, after centering the first lens, to move the table 41 until the crosshair 43a coincides with the zero point of the table 41 (that is, the intersection of the lines 41b and 41c), whereupon the two can be immediately without any calculation The distances between the lines in the horizontal and vertical directions can be obtained by reading the position of the crosshairs 43a after centering the second lens.
In order to place spectacle frames of different sizes, i. H. To make it easier for adults as well as for guinders, the support table 20, as shown in FIG. 6, can be divided so that the distance between the openings 44a and 44b and between the outer ends of the table can be varied. In this embodiment, the table 20a provided with the opening 44a is slidably mounted on guide rails 50 which are connected to a second table 20b provided with the opening 44b.
Both tables 20a and 20b can be moved as a whole along the screw 27. The position of the tables relative to one another, which is set according to the size of the glasses to be measured, can be determined in a suitable manner.
The invention is of course not limited to the measurement of the distance between the optical axes of spectacle lenses, but can also be used with other optical devices, e.g. B. to measure the distance between the optical axes of two laterally to each other in a mount is Eamera lenses, so also of lenses composed of several parts. If the support table serving as a holding device for the frame is also designed to be displaceable in the axial direction of the projection device, the parallel necessary for correct centering of the optical axes of the lenses and the axis of the beam can be checked before centering.
PATENT CLAIMS:
I. A method for measuring the distance between the optical axes of two or more lenses attached laterally to one another in a mount, characterized in that one of the lenses is inserted into a bundle of rays and centered and the mount is displaced thereon so that a other of the lenses is centered in the beam, whereupon the displacement of the frame is measured.
