Ausserdem bleibt nach be- endigtem Einwichsen viel Bodenwicbse in.
Device for the maintenance of floors. The present invention is a device for the care of floors, with a stalk aasgelenkten, with a filler neck for liquid floor cum provided hood, which has a cavity on the underside, in wel chem of your choice a steel chip ball, a scrubbing brush, a Bloch brush, a polishing felt or a device for waxing can be used interchangeably.
In most known floor care devices of this type, a brush insert is sent ver for Einwich sen of the floor. However, it is a disadvantage of such brush inserts that they do not allow a good and even distribution and dosage of the floor wax. The individual bristles oppose the liquid floor wax, as long as it is clean, with much too little flow resistance, so that the floor wax drains off very irregularly, i.e. either quickly or slowly, depending on whether a lot or a little floor wax is poured into the hood is.
A further disadvantage of these brush inserts can be seen in the fact that the bristles become soiled very quickly and then almost no floor wax can flow through.
From these known devices: the inventive Ge advises in that the device for waxing the floor is formed by a tub made of shaped branch material with side walls and a sieve-like perforated base and a white, absorbent and liquid-permeable coating.
This special design of the device ensures a very good, even distribution of the liquid floor wax, since it can only pass through the coating as a result of capillary action.
As soon as the cover has soaked up once, the passage of the floor cum takes place practically pretty much regardless of whether a larger or smaller quantity of floor wax is filled into the container of the hood. A change in the delivery of the cum to the floor only takes place when the entire supply of cum has been dispensed and the coating should now eat the cum that has been absorbed into itself.
O This deficiency, which incidentally becomes noticeable immediately, can be quickly and easily remedied by refilling with fresh floor wax.
It has also been proposed to use inserts made of several pillows stacked on top of each other for the waxing of floors and to arrange a sponge between these and the loading container for the liquid floor wax.
However, it is a disadvantage of these inserts that it takes a long time for the sponge and the pillows to soak up the floor wax. In addition, a lot of soil remains in after the end of the waxing.
the pillow and in the sponge back; there is a risk that this retained floor wax will dry up and spoil the sponge and pillow. The risk of drying out is particularly great when using sponges. because sponges have an extraordinarily large effective surface, that is to say that is accessible to the air. However, with these known devices it is necessary to protect the sponge and cushion from drying out with a base when the device is not in use.
In spite of this, it cannot be avoided that air does enter, since devices of this type are not precision instruments that can be completely airtight. From such pillows and sponges, however, the dried floor wax is difficult to remove, while the lip-like coating is washed out quickly and easily and then easily reused.
In the drawing, an example embodiment of the device with accessories is shown sharing, namely: Fig. 1 is a front view of the device in section, Fig. 2, a plan view of the same, Fig: 3 is a side view of the device with inserted steel wool in section, Fig 4 shows a section through a waxing container which is used as an accessory and which, when inserted into the device, is used to wax the floor.
5 shows a plan view of the wax container, FIG. 6 shows the device with an inserted wax container, partly in section, FIG. 7 the device with an inserted Bloch brush, partly in section, and FIG. 8 the device with an inserted polishing felt, partly on average.
The device shown has a rectangular, flat, open at the bottom hood 1, which z. B. consists of sheet metal and is provided with an intermediate floor 2 dividing the hood, which is attached to inwardly facing tabs 3 by means of screws 4. The hood has a cutout on the upper side, the edges of which are provided with downwardly protruding tabs 5.
In this a transverse bolt 6 is mounted, on which a handle holder 7 is hinged with a between tween the tabs 5 gripping flat iron part 7 '. In the handle holder 7, the handle 8 is locked by means of a screw 9. 10 is a filler neck for liquid floor wax which penetrates the hood cover and the intermediate floor 2 and is provided with a closure cap 11. On the circumference of the hood 1, a felt ring 12 is attached to serve as furniture protection.
The cavity of the hood 1 below the intermediate floor is used to hold steel wool (Fig. 3) as well as to accommodate interchangeable accessories of the device (Fig. 6 to 8).
As a first accessory, a bowl-shaped container 13 for receiving liquid floor wax is shown in FIGS. 4 and 5, which has a rectangular outline shape corresponding to the cross section of the hood 1. The z. B. best existing sheet metal container 13 has a bottom with numerous holes. 14 is provided.
Wire brackets 15 are attached to the end faces of the container bottom. Over the underside of the container bottom and over the wire bracket 15, a thin felt or woolen cloth 16 is drawn, which is beaten over the container edges and clamps 17 by means of U-shaped sheet metal attached to the container wall. This wank container can, as FIG. 6 shows, be inserted into the cavity of the hood 1 from below. Through the A filler neck 10 then the liquid Bo can denwichse, z.
B. "Graphitol", are poured into the cum container. The size and number of holes 14 are dimensioned so that only as much liquid cum is sucked in from the rag 16 as is just necessary for Einwichsen .des Boden.
A Bloch brush 18 (FIG. 7) is provided as a second additional device, the bristle carrier of which is made of wood, for example, and fits exactly into the cavity of the hood 1. A polishing felt 19 is shown as a third additional device in FIG. which is attached to a wooden body 20 which fits exactly into the cavity of the hood 1.
A scrubbing brush is also provided as a further accessory, which can be inserted into the device in the same way as the Bloch brush.
To clean parquet floors, steel wool is inserted into the cavity of the hood, as illustrated in FIG. To wax the floor, the steel wool is removed and the wax container 13 is inserted into the hood, as shown in FIG. Liquid floor wax is then poured through the filler neck 10 ; if only solid floor wax is available, this can be applied directly to the underside of the wax container.
The wanking of the floor can now be carried out effortlessly in the right position instead of in a kneeling position. The same device can be used to polish the floor with the help of the Bloch brush and with the aid of the polishing felt 19, 20.
