Fliehkraftabscheider.
Fig. 5 zeigt eine Variante im Horizontal- schnitt.
Centrifugal separator. The present invention relates to a centrifugal separator with an inlet spiral opening tangentially into a cylindrical separator housing for supplying the medium containing the additions to be separated and with an outlet pipe for the purified medium arranged centrally to the housing.
It has now been found that the flow rate (swallowing capacity) of such separators (cyclones) can be selected to be significantly higher than with known cyclones of the same unit size with at least constant separation quality if, according to the invention, the following ratio, based on the outlet pipe diameter Dl, with a tolerance of 21/2%, are adhered to:
Separator housing diameter = <B> 2D "</B> Height of the cylindrical separator housing = 2.5 Dl, immersion depth of the outlet pipe in the separator housing = 1.5 Dl, height of the inlet spiral = 1.25 Dl, width of the inlet spiral at the beginning of the same = 0.5 D ,.
If the separator is intended for separating dripping additions from a gas stream, a liquid level is expediently provided in an extension of the cylindrical separator housing that is closed at the bottom and is set in rotation by the gas stream.
Embodiments of the subject invention are shown in the accompanying drawing, in which Fig. 1 shows a first game in vertical section.
FIG. 2 is a horizontal section through the cylindrical upper part with the inlet spiral along line II-II in FIG. 1.
Fig. 3 shows a second embodiment example in vertical section.
FIG. 4 is a horizontal section through the cylindrical upper part with the inlet spiral along line IV-IV in FIG. 3.
5 shows a variant in horizontal section.
In the first embodiment according to FIGS. 1 and 2, by tangential introduction of the medium containing admixtures into the upper part c forming a cylindrical separation chamber by means of the inlet spiral s in the cylindrical upper part c, a circulating flow. This separator is designed to separate solid components from a gas.
The cleaned gas leaves the separation chamber c through the central outlet pipe t at <I> A. </I> The separation of the specifically heavier parts from the specifically lighter parts begins in the separation chamber e. The final separation takes place in the cone k, which is coaxially connected at the bottom, with the specifically heavier constituents sinking downwards in the cone k due to their own weight and leaving the cyclone at B.
The centrifugal separator shown in FIGS. 3 and 4 is intended for separating dripping impurities from a gaseous medium and works on the same principle as the separator described above for solid impurities. The difference compared to the version according to Figs. 1 and 2 is that
that the conical dust collector k is replaced by a short cylindrical extension e, which is closed from below. In. this extension ro benefits, moved by the gaseous medium, z. B. steam, a certain amount of liquid, the surface of which absorbs the drops coming into contact with it.
The liquid droplets are separated from the vapor stream on the cylindrical wall of the separator housing and on the rotating liquid surface. Liquid that passes through the lower edge of the outlet f leaves the separator at B.
5 shows a separator with the mode of operation of the separator according to FIGS. 3 and 4, but which has two inlet spirals offset by 180 relative to one another over the circumference of the separator housing. having closing inlet nozzle E.
As can be seen from the drawing, the following proportions, based on the diameter D of the outlet pipe, are maintained for all separators shown, diameter of the separator housing c = 2 Dl, height of the separator housing <I> c = 2.5 </I> Dl, Immersion depth of the outlet pipe in the separator housing = 1.5 D ,, height of the inlet spiral s = 1.25 D ,,
Width of the inlet spiral, le s at its beginning = 0.5 D ,.
