Electric radiator. The main patent relates to an electric heater, which is characterized by the fact that at least one heating resistor is installed between heat-transferring filler pieces, the expansion coefficient of which is greater than that of the holding and protective element that surrounds the filler pieces.
The present additional invention now relates to an improvement and further embodiment of the heater according to the main patent and consists in the fact that the filler pieces consist of an oxidation-resistant, heat-resistant metal alloy and that the heating insert consisting of these filler pieces and at least one heating resistor is in a holder - and protective organ serving metal jacket is pressed into it.
The drawing illustrates an exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention. Fig. 1 is a view from the power connection side and Fig. 2 is a longitudinal section.
The heating insert, which consists of two lateral filler pieces a, a, a middle filler piece b and two heating resistors, is pressed into a metal jacket c serving as a holding and protective element. The material of the heat-transferring filler pieces a, b has a greater thermal expansion coefficient than that of the man means c.
Between the electrical insulating layers d, d, which are arranged between the filler pieces a, a and b, the heating lamella e is arranged as a support for the heating resistance wire, not shown, with the contact pins f so that the two heating elements consisting of lamella and wire - Stand between the filler pieces a, a and b are clamped. The middle filler piece has at one end an outer cone k, not covered by the jacket c, with a cylindrical thread extension for fastening a copper piston or other heat transfer element h provided with a corresponding inner cone and inner thread.
The screw bolt i of the cone k is cast centrally in this and secured against rotation by the piece p.
On the side of the heating insert opposite the cone, indentations for fixing contact pins f are provided, which are connected to the heating elements e and are used to transmit the heating current. The with heat-resistant insulating material, such as. B. mica, mica, asbestos, etc. insulated heating fins e are arranged on both flat sides of the middle filler piece b so that the contact pieces f protrude. Through the hole o the heating lamellas are electrically connected to each other.
The heating lamellas e including the filler piece b are then covered with the lateral filler pieces a, a and the resulting heating insert is pre-pressed in a suitable device (vice) and driven into the metal jacket, the inner diameter of which is not larger than the outside diameter of the pre-pressed heating insert. This is driven so far into the jacket that the cone k is not covered, while on the power connection side the jacket c protrudes so far beyond the filler pieces a, a, b that the contact pins f are protected and the entire radiator is on a handle tube can be attached interchangeably.
It is important that the filler pieces a, a, b consist of an oxidation-resistant and hitzebestän ended metal alloy, that is, an alloy that endures the heat generated by the heating elements without permanent change in shape and is not oxidized, e.g. B. a copper-silumin alloy tion.
Pressing the heating element into the closed jacket with the features indicated above eliminates the need for any screw connection and ensures constant, uniform heat dissipation via the cone k to the connected heat transfer element h, the external shape of which can be designed in any way. The expansion coefficient of the middle filler piece b is at least the same as that of the heat transfer element h. So that the man tel c cannot twist relative to the middle filler piece b, a notch g provided in the jacket c engages in a groove g1 of the piece b. Furthermore, there is a beading on one end of the jacket for better holding the whole thing together.
With the help of the drill hole n, the radiator is screwed to the handle tube, not shown. A vent hole m is provided for cooling and venting the handle end of the radiator.
