Abstract

Electrical heating elements which consist of a tubular heater and a profiled outer casing of aluminium, enclosing said tubular heater, can be produced in a simple manner and in a multiplicity of designs by using standard components. If such heating elements are to be suitable, however, for high operational temperatures, an outer casing of steel or steel alloys is necessary. Steel profiles, however, cannot be produced or can be produced only with great difficulty in the known design having a continuous hole. It was therefore the object of the present invention to provide the outer casing with a form which makes possible a simple construction of steel without the necessity of having to do without the advantages of the design using standard components. Elektrisches Heizelement, bestehend aus einem Rohrheizkör­ per, der von einem profilierten, metallischen Außenmantel umschlossen ist, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Außenmantel aus zwei im Querschnitt deckungsgleichen, aus Stahl oder einem ähnlichen Metall geformten Mantelprofilteilen (4, 10) be­ steht, die je zwei sich gegenüberliegende, halbkreisförmi­ ge Ausnehmungen (5, 6) aufweisen, die bei gegeneinander ge­ legten Mantelprofilteilen (4, 10) den Rohrheizkörper (1) aufnehmen und umschließen und die mit zwei, die eine Aus­ nehmung (6) einschließenden Zargen (7) und mit zwei weite­ ren, seitlich der zweiten Ausnehmung (5) angeordneten, der Form der Zargen (7) entsprechenden, zur Aufnahme derselben dienenden Ausnehmungen (8) versehen sind, derart, daß die beiden Mantelprofilteile (4, 10) durch Einpressen der beiden Zargen (7) in die beiden Ausnehmungen (8) formschlüssig miteinander zu verbinden sind.1.
