Elektrise, her Ofen mit Graphitwiderstand.

Kontakt sichernde Gewinde erfolgen.

Elektrise, her furnace with graphite resistor.
The object of the invention is an improvement in electric furnaces in which the resistor is made of graphite and is cut along a helical line. With this furnace so far
EMI1.1
source are connected. As a result, the forces that occur when the resistance is stretched act on the screw windings and often cause them to break.
The invention seeks to remedy this drawback and at the same time increases the resistance
To give strength. For this purpose, in a furnace of the type mentioned, in which the resistor consists of two concentric, closely spaced parts, one of which has the shape of a tube or prism and the other is cut along a helical line, according to the invention these Both parts of the resistor are attached with one of their ends to power supply parts and their other end is connected to one another in such a way that the two parts of the resistor can expand unhindered in relation to one another on the side where they are connected to one another.
The union of the two parts of the resistance with one another and the union of each
Part of the resistor with the current-carrying parts can advantageously - as usual - by the
Thread securing contact.
In the drawing, for example, embodiments of the furnace are shown. of the invention shown.
Fig. 1 is an axial section of the invention? n furnace, in which the tubular part of the resistor surrounds its helical part; the working area of the stove is from the inner part
EMI1.2
Furnace element in which the tubular part of the resistor is housed inside the helical part, in such a way that the heat is radiated against the outside of the heating resistor and this forms the working field of the furnace.
In Fig. 1, a is the part of the resistor cut along a helical line, which with one of its ends on a block b by means of a plug c and with its other end in the interior of the tubular part d of the resistor on or. is screwed in. The tubular part d is coaxial with part a and in turn is screwed into a chuck e. The parts a and cl, like the plug c, are made of graphite.
The parts bond e are made of amorphous carbon and carry the metal power connections and g. The distance between the part a and the block b on the one hand and the pipe d and the chuck e on the other hand is adjusted by screws h, which are screwed into brackets k attached to the part e and are against documents! Support made of insulation material.
Insulating spacers m and m prevent air from entering the annular space between the inner and outer part of the resistor. The furnace is completed by a ring p which is attached to the chuck e by tie rods, not shown. In the space between the rirg p and the lining e there is housed a heat protection means q which is held in place by a cover) 'made of insulating material and a metal jacket s.
According to FIG. 2, the helical part a of the resistor is in one with one of its ends

The outer zone of part a forms the working area of the furnace, which arrangement can be completed by a jacket of any shape, not shown. The two parts a and d of the resistor are again made of graphite, the rings t and u of amorphous carbon; they carry the power connection terminals, not shown, and are made of insulating material by spacers v, eg. B. thorium oxide or molten magnesium oxide, separated from each other.
In operation, the two parts of the resistor expand simultaneously in the same direction and their common end, which is exposed, shifts, thereby avoiding stress on the resistor which could cause it to break.
