Sewing machine with winding device. The present invention relates to a sewing machine whose drive shaft is formed at one end for attaching a thread bobbin.
The invention lies in the fact that the drive shaft mentioned carries a loose drive sleeve on it, which is normally coupled to this shaft by the intermediary of a coupling which has a spring-influenced coupling pin that is displaceable in a slot in the drive shaft Coil on the end of the drive shaft, however, is decoupled from this shaft in that this coupling pin is displaced against the spring force acting on it.
On the accompanying drawing, an embodiment of the subject invention is illustrated.
Fig. 1 is an end view of the lower part of a portable sewing machine, and Figs. 2 and 3 are larger-scale cross-sections through a winding device provided on this sewing machine in two different states.
In Fig. 1, the following parts of the portable sewing machine are visible: A base plate -1, the sewing machine body 2, the motor protective cover 3, the motor shaft 4, the drive belt 5, through the intermediary of an intermediate shaft, not shown here Control of the ascending and descending needle rod is driven, a pulley 6 for the drive belt 5, a thread bobbin 7 for the sewing boat that can be slipped onto the front hollow end of the drive shaft 4,
the thread 8 to be wound on this bobbin and a thread guide roller 9. According to FIGS. 1, 2 and 3, the drive belt 5 runs over a loosely arranged drive sleeve 10 on the shaft 4, which is secured by a ring 20 to prevent slipping after the shaft end is secured, while on the other hand the motor bearing, not shown, prevents a shift in this direction. A union nut 11, in which a groove-shaped recess 15 is provided, is screwed onto the drive sleeve 10.
A sliding sleeve 12 is pushed onto the end part of the shaft 4, to which a coupling pin 14 penetrating the same diametrically is firmly connected. This coupling pin 14 extends through a longitudinal slot 13 provided in the shaft 4, so that the sliding sleeve 12 can be displaced in the direction of the shaft axis, but cannot be rotated relative to the same.
The coupling pin 14 is constantly exposed to the action of a compression spring 16 that seeks to push it into the groove-shaped recess 15 so as to couple the nut 11 and the drive sleeve 10 with the motor shaft 4, whereby the sewing device is set in motion, when the motor shaft 4 rotates.
If, however, a thread spool 7, on which the thread 8 is to be wound, is placed on the end of the motor shaft 4, the sliding sleeve 12 is shifted together with the coupling pin 14, with the result that the coupling state with the union nut 11 is canceled so that now only the spool 7 rotates while the drive sleeve 10 stands still.
To keep the coil 7 in the attached position, a pawl 17 is installed in the slotted end part of the shaft 4, which is under the action of a compression spring 18 and can rotate about the pawl axis 19 ver. This pawl 17 prevents changed; that the coil 7 is pushed by the compression spring 16 and the sliding sleeve 12 from the shaft 4, in that the nose of this pawl rests against the corresponding flange of the coil 7.
In order to be able to remove the bobbin 7 after completion of the winding process, it is sufficient to press down the pawl 17 slightly with your finger, whereupon the bobbin 7 is pushed away by the pressure of the spring 16.
