Description

  Pot with spout spout.

The subject of the invention is a pot with a spout, characterized in that the spout has a posterior threshold and a flow edge which is concave upwards in the transverse direction and provided with a rounded protuberance at its lowest point, the beak also exhibiting indentations placed between the protuberance and the posterior threshold.

The appended drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the pot forming the subject of the invention.

Fig. 1 is a side elevational view thereof, the spout being shown in section.

Fig. 2 is a plan view.

Fig. 3 is a front elevational view.

The pot shown has a spout 1 forming, in line with the inner wall 2 of the pot, a posterior threshold 3. This spout has a flow edge 4 forming in its middle a rounded protuberance 5 which constitutes the lowest point of the spout. flow edge 4. Between this protuberance 5 and the posterior threshold 3, the spout has a series of indentations 6. As can be seen more proudly in FIG. 3, the spout has, in the transverse direction, a weak concavity facing upwards.

The posterior threshold 3 is used to share the liquid when the flow is stopped. At this moment, the liquid which is on the spout collects in the indentations 6 from where it is led to the rounded protuberance 5 of the flow edge. This rounded protuberance facilitates the flow of the liquid until it is exhausted.

The low curvature of the spout in cross section allows the highest flow rates.

The posterior threshold makes the flow normal, even if the liquid completely fills the pot.

The series of indentations 6 collects the liquid in the direction of the protuberance 5, while preventing it from taking too high a speed. These footprints play a role similar to dams placed in torrents whose course is too fast.

The lower end of the rounded protuberance 5 being the lowest point of the edge of the flow 4, it does not allow the liquid to park it elsewhere and to flow afterwards.

The pot can be made of pottery or porcelain. The beak and its protuberance will therefore have a normal thickness avoiding the fragility and the dangers of cutting from a sharp beak.

The slight curvature of the beak in the direction
transverse allows easy cleaning of it.
