Druckgasschalter.
Gas pressure switch. The main patent relates to a pressurized gas holder with extinguishing of the switch-off arc by flowing pressurized gas, in which the switch gases are blown from the power interruption point into a storage space during the switch-off process.
In the flow path of the pressurized gas, an ejector is placed between the pressurized gas control valve and the storage space, the suction direction of which points towards the storage space and whose arrangement is also such that the relevant storage space is at least partially via the suction opening of the ejector after the compressed gas control valve has closed emptied against its suction direction.
The present invention relates to a further development of this pressurized gas holder and consists in the fact that additional means are provided in the storage space, which lead to rapid deionization and cooling of the incoming switching gases, so that the gases exiting from it again border through the suction opening of the ejector flow into the open air, have regained their dielectric strength. An exemplary embodiment of the present invention is shown schematically in the drawing.
The gas removed from the compressed gas container 1 flows through the control valve 3 into the jet nozzle 5 of the ejector 6, the collecting nozzle 15 of which expands into the suction pipe 7 counter to the suction direction. From the catching nozzle 15, the compressed gas arrives in the direction of the solid arrows through the insulating tube 4 into the hollow switch pole 11, in which the movable contact 10 is guided.
The switch pole 11 forms one end of the switching chamber 2, the other end of which is formed by the fixed nozzle contact 12. The two switch poles who are distanced by the insulating cylinder 13, which delimits the switching chamber 2 at the same time. The switching guests flow through the opening 14 of the nozzle contact into the stowage space 9 during the extinguishing process of the cut-off arc drawn between the contacts 10, 12.
In the previously usual design of a compressed gas switch, in which the ejector 6 is not available, outlet openings are now provided in the wall 18 of the storage space 9 opposite the inlet opening 14 of the storage space and the escaping switching gases are discharged into the open atmosphere via a gas cooler . The only purpose of the gas cooler is to cool the gases so far that no flame phenomena whatsoever occur in the free atmosphere during the shutdown process.
In the preferred embodiment of a pressurized gas switch according to the present invention, however, the storage space 9 is closed so that apart from the inlet opening 14 it has no outlet openings whatsoever. The switching gases flow after the compressed gas control valve 3 has closed in the direction of the dashed arrows from the storage space 9 in the opposite direction through the inlet opening 14 back into the switching chamber 2 and from there through the insulating tube 4 and through the suction tube 7 of the ejector 6 opposite to it Direction of suction into the free atmosphere.
As a result, even after the control valve 3 has been closed in the control room 2, an overpressure is maintained for a certain period of time, which must last until the movable contact 10 has taken the broken off position. The purpose of the overpressure in switch room 2 is to increase the flashover voltage between the nozzle contact 12 and the contact 10, which is still moving, so that a re-ignition in the switch is avoided shortly after the cut-off arc has been extinguished as a result of the voltage between the electrodes.
The tacit prerequisite here is, of course, that the gases producing the overpressure have sufficient dielectric strength. With the usual compressed gas switches without an ejector 6 and with additional outlet openings in the storage space 9, this is easily the case, since the direction of flow of the compressed gas in the control room 2 remains the same even after the compressed gas valve 3 has been closed,
because the entire pressure line empties through the switching chamber 2 and the nozzle contact 14 into the storage space and the switching gases flow from this into the atmosphere without reversing direction.
In the described application of an ejector and a closed storage space, however, the switching gases flow back from the storage space 9 into the switching chamber 2, so that the gases generating the overpressure in the switching chamber are still partially ionized. and thereby the cause of a backfire in the switch. Ionized gases also be favorable sliding flashovers on the Iso liertteile 13 and 14 of the switch and are therefore also to be considered harmful for this reason. To remedy these deficiencies, it initially seems obvious, between the switching chamber 2 and the storage space 9, i. H.
between the nozzle opening 14 and the actual inlet opening of the Staurau mes to insert a gas cooler of known construction type. Such a gas cooler would have a double effectiveness, since it would already largely deionize the switching gases blown into the storage space 9 by the switching chamber 2 and would also bring about a subsequent deionization of the same gases if they were removed from the storage space after the control valve 3 is closed 9 flow back into the switching chamber 2. However, the gas coolers known up to now are only effective if a pressure drop occurs on them.
In the flow path of the compressed gas obstacles are inserted in the cooler, which cause a considerable slowdown in the flow rate. A gas cooler of the usual type, inserted between the switching chamber and the storage space, would indeed bring about sufficient deionization of the switching gases and thus fulfill the intended purpose, but at the same time reduce the switching capacity of the switch, since the flow speed in the nozzle contact is caused by the gas cooler generated back pressure is reduced.
On the other hand, the construction of a gas cooler that does not cause any loss of speed encounters considerable difficulties, so that the insertion of a gas cooler between the switching chamber and the storage space is not to be regarded as a suitable solution to the above problem.
The present invention is based on the assumption that these partly contradicting requirements can be met if additional means are provided in the storage space itself, which cause rapid deionization and cooling of the incoming switching gases. These funds expediently consist of built-in structures in the storage space, which are designed as baffles with a large surface. For example, walls 16, 17 can be provided which divide the storage space into several sub-spaces and are made of a material with a high thermal capacity.
The large surfaces of such walls lead to rapid deionization and cooling of the switching gases, whereby the gases flowing back from the storage space 9 into the switching chamber 2 have regained their dielectric strength. As indicated in the drawing, the walls 16, 17 extend with advantage at least approximately approximately in the direction of flow of the switching gases to ensure rapid filling and emptying of the storage space. At the same time, a harmful pressure drop in the storage space and a loss of speed at the opening 14 of the nozzle contact 12 is avoided. A fan-shaped arrangement of the walls 16 directed towards the inlet opening 14 is suitable.
The walls 16 located in the immediate vicinity of the inlet opening 14 are best made of insulating material so as not to short-circuit the arc blown into the storage space at high cut-off currents. Walls made of ceramic material, which already have a large heat capacity, are suitable for this. On the side of the storage space 9 opposite the entry side, metal walls 17 are preferably attached, which are welded to the inner surface of the hood-shaped metal cylinder 18 delimiting the storage space.
If necessary, the container 18 can be provided with cooling ribs 19 on the outside in order to ensure good heat dissipation. The metal cylinder 18 is insulated from the two switch poles 11, 12 and is supported on the upper switch pole 12 by the conical insulating part 20. The walls 16, 17 can be designed as a flat surface which pierce the storage space in one direction. However, it is also possible to subdivide the storage space by conical walls or to provide walls that protrude radially inward.
The described use of a gas cooler and deionizer combined with the storage space therefore guarantees full utilization of the technical advantages that can be achieved with the subject of the main patent.
