dust vacuum cleaner. The known vacuum cleaners, to dust generally carry an electric motor driving a -turbine, housed in a first cartx-r. A second casing, mounted on the first, contains a filter and has an inlet orifice for the air charged with dust.
In general, the air introduced into this second casing directly into a space in which at least one of the walls is constituted by the filter. However, Io-rsque bodies having a high specific weight and a relatively large mass are sucked in, they soak in the filter and clog it quickly.
The present invention relates to a dust, vacuum cleaner comprising a first casing containing a motor driving a turbine, and a second casing mounted on the first, and enclosing a filter, this second housing corner- carrying at least one inlet opening for the air charged! with dust.
This vacuum cleaner is known as vacuum cleaners by the fact that this inlet opening opens into an external chamber separated from the filter by a sound partition, delimiting an internal chamber enclosing the filter, the outer chamber communicating with the inner chamber by its end opposite to that having the inlet orifice, so that the air entering the outer chamber is entered, in a gyratory movement,
and that the corpuscles have a mass -and a density greater than values. -do-clouds are thrown by centrifugal force against the walls of this chamber and cannot reach the filter.
The attached drawing shows, schematically and to by way of example, one embodiment of the spirabeur forming the subject of the invention.
The, fig. 1 is a partial axial sectional view of the vacuum cleaner; The, fig. 2 is a cross-sectional view taken along the line II-II of FIG. 1. The vacuum cleaner shown comprises, to the ins tar of known vacuum cleaners, a housing 1 enclosing an electric motor (not shown ) driving a turbine (not shown). This housing has an exhaust-orifice (not shown) for the air freed from dust, opening on its upper face. On this casing 1 is fixed a second casing 2 containing a filter 4.
This housing has an inlet port 3 for air laden with dust. This hole 3 is located at, the end called eart, er 2 by which it is fixed on the housing 1 and opens into an external cylindrical chamber, 8 separated from the filter 4 by a partition 7 delimiting an internal chamber 6 enveloping the filter.
These two chambers 6 and 8 have annular cross-sections and the outer chamber 8 communicates with the inner chamber 6 by its exir & mit ## opposite to the one presenting the port 3 and by the intermediary of a frontal chamber 9 with circular cross sections and a grid 14 closing the chamber 6. The air passing through the filter is collected in a channel 5 in direct connection with a intake port,
n - of the turbine (not shown).
Chamber 9 is separated from a recovery chamber 11 by a partition 1.0 in the form of a funnel and communicating with each other by a central opening 13 practiced. ; in said partition 10. This reoperation chamber is provided with a drain orifice closed by a cover.
The operation of the vacuum cleaner shown is very simple. The dust-laden air entering through port 3 into chamber 8 is entrained in a gyratory motion. To promote the creation of this movement of the air current, the orifice 3 opens out tangentially into the chamber 8, as shown in the drawing.
The corpuscles begin with a mass and density greater than than a given value, which is a function of the. speed, of the air current, which determines the speed of the gyratory movement, # are projected by the, centrifugal force against the outer walls of the chamber 8, slide by gravity along this wall, then in funnel 10, and tom bent in the recovery chamber Il. The dust-laden air thus cleared, during its passage through through the chamber 8, of the heaviest corpuscles, passes through the chamber.
front 9 -and enters the interior chamber 6 passing through the grid 14 on which are retained the bodies with dimensions greater to the opening of the mesh of the grid, but very light. In this way, the air entering chamber 6 and reaching the binder filter contains more than fine dust.
From time to time to the user must proceed to cleaning the filter and to emptying chamber 11. This cleaning can however be effectedW1 il </ B > successive periods that are more spaced than in known vacuum cleaners, by the fact (liip l (, # filter binds only retains daughter dust.
An embodiment of the vacuum cleaner, object of the invention, has been described above with reference to the accompanying schematic drawing, but it is obvious that various structural details can be modified or provided in such a way. > to meet it, any special requirements imposed.
The exhaust port for the dust-free air can also be e, olistiti-i (', by iin, (# series (Openings arranged either as shown in the drawing on the interior wall of the device, so to project # - ter J'air up- or on the sidewalls. It is obvious that this exhaust port can,
kre protected by a grid.
It is also possible to provide several inlet openings 3 distributed around the periphery of the outer wall of the chamber 8.
The second housing can be rigidly mounted on the first housing, but in a way (1, il.
, le kale. it is preferable to provide fixing devices allowing the rapid removal of the second casing with a view to cleaning the filter and the filter. For the same reasons, it is advantageous to removably fix the filter 4 in the second casing, of same as the wall 7, by means of fasteners of type # s known.
You can also fix the grid 14 in a removable way on the outside of the wall 7.
